So THIS is what you were up to, everything makes sense now! I do have one thing that should be mentioned:
6:20 - This box and the two boxes in the bonus can't be hit with a slide jump on PAL, since for some reason PAL lowers your jump height VERY slightly. However, you can hit it with a full jump bodyslam, meaning even on PAL you can still break them without double jump.
Other than that, this is quite the eye opener. I'm glad someone finally managed to explain what crystal duplication is in a nice and easy to understand way. I've been meaning to do that for a while, so thanks for adding that info in. :)
It's always strange to look back at this game and think "yeah, this game has the modern va for crash, the war face meme guy, biff, and mark Hamill in it."

My headcanon, the reason coco doesn't have her phone grenade is because she forgot to charge it beforehand making the explosives unable to go off.
Either that or she got a phone that won't detonate.

Love this game so much, a lot of nostalgia, don't care about the hate it gets its was the last legit Crash game.
Pressing SELECT to warp to the end of level 4 also works in the EUROPEAN PS2 BLACK LABEL version. Just so peoples know.

Doesn't apply to me since I have the Platinum release, but good to know.
A friend of mine has the Platinum release, and so did I, until recently, as I managed to get the Black Label one (Nordic treatment with packaging) with acceptable price and I had to give it a shot while wanting to see what the "horrid load times" -stuff was all about. And yee, it did work, that skip.
These versions are internally v1.03 and v2.01 in Europe, for peoples who like this kind of fancy trivia stuff.

Cool, i thought this wouldn't be possible since i remember TDYU did a similar challenge and failed it but i think he missed a glitch or two you used it. The super belly flop rule was weird but it worked out in the end and i was surprised you got such a high percentage completion. cheers!

Even as an adult I've never made it past water crunch so this was both fascinating (as I've binged the others) and "ooh so that's what the rest of the game looks like" lol
I remember I used to be stuck on that part and when I finally beat it I was so glad

A downward kick ability for the copter-pack (idk what that spelling is for it, haven’t read the manual in ages) would of been ideal

Mmmno, a crouch jump belly flop barely gets you enough height. It's stupid precise, but still another way.
Useless for your personal rule though.
See, that's the thing. Apparently the jump is only impossible in PAL, because Crash jumps slightly lower. NTSC players can get this Gem first try.
Also, I didn't think any game besides It's About Time let you Belly Flop out of a Crouch Jump without spinning.
@@DrRank Ahhh, I see, mb. What a weird thing to change. Crash's jump heights honestly on occasion weren't quite enough for comfortable traversal of certain levels (at least when I was a kid, the target audience) so it being shrunk baffles me.

I'm not quite understanding your rules.
You said you have a personal rule to not use the regular body slam until you have the super version, but....why? It's not a spin so I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed.
It's just something I do in casual runs to make the Super Belly Flop actually feel valuable.
And frankly, something they probably could have actually implemented.

@@DrRank Yeah, it is. Just Wrath of Cortex as a whole looks like that.
It gives me nightmares, Wrath of Cortex is more scary than any horror game I have ever played.
I always found it dumb that you couldn't access the secret levels without beating the game, unlike Warped where you could access it as soon as you got five Relics.

You do know you can actually destroy the iron crates with the regular belly flop right? You basically made this challenge harder for yourself than it needed to be
I'm aware. I just wasn't allowed to use the regular Belly Flop. That's how I like to play TWoC, because it gives the Super Belly Flop a proper reason to exist.
