You can put a ratchet strap around top and bottom of the sheet metal and pole to bend it if it's really thick stuff. Lol it works!
I was telling myself the same thing lol
I’ve done that before and it just creased the metal in half instead of the slight bend all around. It also bent the hell out of the metal where the strap was and ended up being more work then it was worth. But i do think if i had a bigger sized pipe or tree it would work better

Love old cars, but this CRX is cool! Fun watching this build
1 of the downsides of Honda CRX is how some people rob them (they bend the door frame from above to gain acces to the door locks) if you have a old one.
Apart from that Honda CRX has great stock tech from factory also a nice low body weight compared to most hatchbaks these days.
Its also lighter then a Suzuki Swift Sport EU edition 2007 towards 2010 build years. for roadtax in the EU where i live this would be cheaper. But Parts are the headache of these old honda's + some of fan boys hoard parts for things. now that every thing gets so old / cant replace or buy things. Would be nice if honda gave support for older honda stuf because stil a lot of people like there older cars. --- to keep it simple i wouldnt mind owning honda crx but i would surely reinforce the doors incase of robbery xd. also the body shape is great on them.

Journeyman welder here. Play with the settings on your welder and find the postflow setting. If your tack welding you dont need as much postflow. Argon is expensive

I like how you come inside from the tranny tunnel pole building, and the piece of sheet metal is only bent a little bit in the middle, comes back 3 days later still with the same clothes on and it fits. l0l

I'd drive up from Sarasota, Florida to paint some backyard spraycan graphics on that little puppy, if you're in to that sorta thing. I'm thinking something that fits the era of the car. Maybe some scallops with a drop-shadow under 'em, or wide pin- stripes with a design inside? Nevermind, your dad is a painter, if memory serves.

I feel like alot of panels that go around the moving parts and where the trans goes maybe aswell around the part of the motor that comes inside should have bolt on panels. For serviceability purposes or if you need to remove things. But awesome work

Where did you get that fender i have a 91 HF CRX I've been putting off for years just because the minimal body damage i need to fix. I fell in love with CRX in the late 80 when they first put the back glass in them. Me and my friends always said how dope a built 350 would be in one. You are making dreams come true!
You welded a piece the driveshaft tunnel that was welded to the back piece now the frame and body are connected
now work a subwoofer enclosure to in that area for (4) 8" subs, it will add weight to center of car but isnt that good
you should paint it manga (cartoon) style!
when its done you should weigh it and see how much more heavy it is than a stock CRX

Did you make any provision for exhaust under the car ?
There is a 8” section between the rocker and outside of the frame. I built the frame with room for the exhaust 👍👍
