He can't let go off the Side Scrollers interview. It's definitely the number 1 spot of the worst DSP moments of 2023.

It broke him. And the best part was he hyped it up in the weeks leading to day of it happening and then it blew up in his face.

Let's remember that DSP went into the Side Scrollers interview of his own accord and he said it was done well. Both Craig but also Adam went into it without really knowing much of anything about him to the point where many detractors were unsure of how they'd do. This is all gaslighting and rewriting the narrative and trying to make other people the villains.

They did say that if things went well and once they got the drama/interview out of the way that they could just chill and he could come on the show in the future. What he doesn't realize is that he was SO unlikable and so obviously full of shit when he went on their show that they decided they didn't want to have him on the show anymore. 100% his fault. The truest thing said after that interview was “Phil is going to die with this lie.” Phil is so far into his ridiculous lies about WWE Champions that he could never admit the truth even in the face of irrefutable evidence (ex: the account’s name is ‘TheyCallMeDSP’, the account is tied to your phone #, etc). When confronted with this proof, Phil ends up in a Patrick Star Vs Man Ray “it’s not my wallet” level exchange.
So he goes on the Side Scrollers podcast and they expose him for the scumbag he really is, and he somehow expected to still be a regular on the show? And that they'd just kiss his ass after the fact? Weird logic as usual from the pigroach.
DSP has already said the Craig didn't know anything about him. Which was true. So how did he have an agenda?
Phil claims that in the week or so between setting up and actually Doing the interview, the Detractors ‘got to him’ - sending him lots of unfavorable info on his past, and this caused Craig & Co to secretly be turned against him 😅

There is so much to unpack here:
1) Saying that it was never supposed to be an interview to begin with. Look it’s understandable that the initial purpose of the podcast with them was to discuss games and some game news, but that was thrown out the window when you did not do an interview that you had proposed to your audience. You can’t just say that you want to do an interview for months and then later not do one then it gets leaked that you are doing a podcast with an outside group. People want you to live up to your word because “I’m an honest and transparent guy”
2) They didn’t shit on you for no reason the next day after the interview. They were reading and responding to the super chats that they received the day before and during and giving their honest thoughts about the interview afterward. It’s your own fault that you couldn’t give them much to work with to put you in a positive light.
3) While the SS did mention that they were thinking about offering you a spot on the show, that was when they didn’t know much about you. After talking with you about yourself they came to a conclusion that if you could not be 100% truthful with them, why should they give you a position on the show. If someone says that they are considering on giving you a job and your background check did not come back clean, then guess what that job is most likely gone.
I don’t understand how anyone could believe this guy unless you are regarded or so young you don’t know any better. So basically Phil’s entire audience. My god he’s so in love with himself it’s actually weird
If it was reversed and they started kissing his ass afterwards Phil would’ve been 100% ok with it. In fact, I think that’s what he wanted

Every time Phil recites the story he becomes more and more an innocent, benevolent victim and the SideScrollers crew turn into catroonishly evil villains with ever increasingly corrupt and selfish motivations. Watching Phil warp reality on the fly is pretty crazy to watch.
Phil isn't emotionally capable of taking responsibility. He's like a child who never learned basic speaking skills and so he is just lying because it's all he knows how to do.
I love his "jaded toxic ex" personality. Its actually entertaining because how contradicting he is.

Philip thought he'd meet people in the same business he's in, who view their audience the same way he views his own, and they'd all become friends and he'd become a regular on the show. Instead he met with fairly normal people who disbelieved his lies in real time. Philip looks horrible on the show because he's forced to talk to people in real time and actually answer questions.

And they had an after show the following day because the interview was friggin 5 hours long so they couldn’t do an after show directly after the interview.

SideScrollers treated him fairly. In my opinion they were more than gracious responding to his obvious lies and delusions. He could do nothing but bob his head, yet acts like he is such a tough guy.
The side scrollers interview could have been a positive turning point for Phil. All he had to do was come clean on everything but his hesitation to show Craig his WWE Champions account made him look completely guilty. The whole excuse about his family being put in danger is complete bullshit and makes no sense at all.

From the interview highlights, Side Scrollers was pretty Polite and professional to Phil.
There's never been somebody who needed an a$$ kicking as badly as Phil does.
This is the guy that lied dozens of times about WWEC; banned people from chat, insulted them and went on huge rants interrupting gameplay just to deny it. All that noise, for years, then one simple 'yes' during the sidescroller interview and it was done. His life would be so much easier if he would just tell the truth instead of ranting and deflecting criticism.

Watching DSP really gives great insight into how liars and manipulators work. Every time he recounts the story, he just changes it slightly to make him look a bit better and other parties a bit worse. Lots of people could benefit from learning to spot his behavior patterns so that when they encounter others doing the same they know what they're up against.
