The Bluetti EB3A is the smallest power bank in the Bluetti range, in this video we have a look at the unit and its application for our needs as we travel to remote areas metal detecting and exploring. We will be doing a follow up review in the coming months once the unit has done a lot more work!

I have been using it in my work van since October last year and it has never skipped a beat. I had to use a 12v to 24v step up to make it charge faster. I am a locksmith and usually use between 20% to 30% on a job and it will be completely charged to 100% when I arrive on the next job. It can take 200w through the solar port and running a 12v to 24v it can charge at 188w. Its always full and we had a blackout here in South Australia 3 weeks ago, I just unplug it from the van and use it to run internet and charge phone at home.

These sorts of units are very good for day-trippers or weekenders. I'll be living in my ute so my power needs are a little more than this could supply.

It would be good as a UPS for a laptop or server for a short time, Warren. They must be too scared to send it to the propector/ technician battery tester.

All my 12v electrics are connected with anderson plugs if these different power units are marketed in Australia they need anderson connections both for solar panel connection in and power out plugs as well.

Fully agree Laurie - everything we use is connected by Anderson plug. Would have been nice to see an Anderson input to the EB3A. As supplied we need an MC4 to Anderson adapter to link to the Bluetti cable input for our current solar setup. Cheers. Warren.

Lucky bugger - no one asks me to review things. I don’t think I have the head for promotion 🤣. Looks like a great unit, like you I have 3 batteries and ports everywhere in the car but would be good for the long trips. Are coming down for the Bendigo Gold expo this year?

Cheers Guy, don't worry I'm well down the food chain too LOL. Yes will likely be there supporting Phil from the Prospector's Depot. Warren.
