I guess this band are on hold indefinitely - the gap since their last album has been longer than the five years between that and their debut. The silence is understandable, given what the world has just endured. Honestly, powerful music like this is one of the things that helped me though it. Perhaps one day Xanthochroid will return. I'd love to hear more about the mysterious other areas on the map, such as 'Septentria'.
I want a new album so bad, of erthe and axen is probably my favourite album ever made, but if the band split up it split up, what can you do
@@Madgoblinn They're not "split up" per se, they just have a lot of personal stuff going on. Keep in mind that Xanthochroid is basically down to just Sam and Matt at this point, and they probably can't put that much time into a band that hardly makes enough money to live from. Sam has said in interviews that he wants to make more music about Etymos at some point, I'm pretty sure and I hope that we'll get more from them at some point in time.
@@elrohir0 oh okay thats awesome news, i totally understand songs being slow and difficult to put out im patient, i just had no idea what was going on with them was all.
@@elrohir0 yeah even if its not as grand as erthe n axen as that takes SO much. even something less in size in all aspects would be totally amazing. new music from xantho regardless and it would be amazing no matter if it was a smaller less detailed thing

oh how i wish a new album or just a song would come out
xanthochroid is one of the biggest inspiration for me starting my music journey. Its been one year and im realizing how incredibly grateful and happy i am to ever have found this band, its so incredibly underrated and each song is simply a masterpiece.

yap. not only a super unknown and underrated band..but they could have been the best band in metal really. No one makes music in the absolutely all over grand ways they did. wish they made at least one more. good to have 3 at least..
@@TheSadistNat1on i plan on changing that, we boutta make xanthochroid-core be a real thing. It will just take some time for me to get better at guitar since im still a beginner XD
@@Baneowo ya..between Matt n Sam's talents. Xantho is so impossible to get to. Like with wintersun n opeth n ihsahn u jus have the individual in each band that makes the music. With Sam n Matt, they together play so many instruments and work together insanely perfect. Nothn will be like them
