I agree with Batista. The Royal Rumble winner is given the *MAIN EVENT* at Wrestlemania, WWE creative at its shittiest.
Management thought they couldn’t follow a Shawn Michaels match and Batista wasn’t exactly known for his work rate and taker wasn’t having those mania classics yet.
Not to mention the build for Taker vs Batista was much more serious and a way better build than Cena and Michaels, hell in the tagteam match they all had Taker and Batistas story highlighted the match

I had a concussion like this, you don’t know where you are and really don’t even control your actions it’s more reacting on instinct. He felt threatened and in pain so he lashed out no one should blame him
Yeah, also he was likely in pain and a possible neck injury is pretty scary to everybody. But even more to somebody who is earning his money as a sports star. I totally get how he didn't want half of WWE's staff standing around him making smart remarks and watching him being hurt.

Brock is a very "stay out of my space unless I let you" type of person. Considering that on top of a concussion they're lucky he didn't get violent.
Chris Jericho was actually supposed to win the Universal Championship that night too.
Lesnar and Goldberg could've easily been booked without throwing the UV title into the mix. And KO vs Y2J could've happened and we would've Y2J as UV champion. Damn you, Lesnar.

It amazes me that Brock Lesnar was able to finish the match after suffering that concussion from the shooting star press. I heard that you don’t know where you are or what you’re doing after suffering that kind of injury.

(Willing to bet there was sweat on the turnbuckle, or Lesner tried to jump to hard due to how stupidly far away Angle was, and couldn't get height because of it.)

Batista-Taker at WM 23 is one of the most underrated matches ever.
IMO they outperform Cena & HBK.
If HBK really stepped to Mike, he would have been making the biggest mistake of his career. A one hitter quitter would have destroyed his credibility and he would not be whom he is today.

The only thing that saved Shawn from being fired in the 90s was his incredible talent. The guy was so talented and he was such an amazing wrestler that Vince didn't wanted to lose him to WCW.

It just feels that WWE doesn't respect them ilas a credible threat. Especially.not today where they can easily just get back any talent they lose anyway if it turned out that talent is actually worth it.

I think the original plan was for Roman to win at 34, but then the plan literally changed midway through the match and the ref had to let both men know.

Yet he’s still the best overall performer by far.
As much as I love Michaels, I hate his whole attitude era douchness. I really like Michaels second run though, his run that ended with the undertaker, he really seemed like he was doing better and performing better, along with being a better person in general.

WrestleMania 34 was not a terrible event. Just the way everything went in the main event went so wrong because of the quality and the crowd reaction. Not to mention BEACH BALLS being a part of it. I’m pretty sure a lot of those people who rejected the main event went to NXT Takeover: New Orleans the night prior.

I don’t really see the story being that great. What happened? Paul heyman flip flopped a few times. Brock wanted a title for title match at WM for literally no reason. They wasted the rumble and EC. The last few weeks has just been brock trying to attack Reigns, nothing special. There really isn’t a “story” at all. There’s no build. The story is quite literally that brock wanted to hold two belts at once.
For me it's boring and repetitive, nothing of the demolition that they do in the shows for his storyline it's interesting to me, and think about it 2 times. Brock: 2 moves, Roman: 6 moves or less, can it be a good match? I don't think it will
My prediction is Lesnar will win and then Lashley will show up and they get a match at Backlash (which I think is the next ppv)
Some one tell me how Taker’s match wasn’t ALWAYS the main event?
I mean ok, early on I get it. But by the time we were at Batista the streak was alive and well, Taker was the one who’s match always stole the show, and frankly it was always the one match that garnered the most interest.
It’s disgusting that WWE would ever not allow him to be the main event.
Just look to the HIC match at King of the Ring. Stone Cold and Kane didn’t stand a chance after what he and Foley had done and that was the case at every single PPV that Taker was appearing in.

The Main Event Of Wrestlemania XIX was Awesome Wrestlemania 19 is an amazing PPV From Beginning to end The Miller lite catfight girls vs Stacy Keibler vs Torrie Wilson was great Hogan Vs McMahon was Awesome And Brock Lesnar Vs Kurt Angle was an amazing Main Event and Undertaker Vs Batista should've been The Main Event Since Undertaker Won the 2007 Royal Rumble Match and Cena Vs Michaels should've been on Before Undertaker vs Batista that should've happened.
One of my favorite things about WWE is the fact that generally speaking, the meanest and most terrible human beings in kayfabe are the gentlest most kind human beings in real life.
Perfect examples are Bray Wyatt, Brock Lesnar, and Baron Corbin.
The sellout comments for Lesnar playing football always made me laugh. Taking a huge paycut to maybe/possibly play professional football as an underdog in the sport =/= selling out.
