The Undertaker is a once-in-a-lifetime superstar. Everybody knew him and whether you loved him or hated him you knew that he was one of the best. They should have let him retire with his WrestleMania streak intact.
Impossible to hate the guy!!!!!
Or made him lose to a better wrestler
@@EpicAndrew97 I just think that the Undertaker had the kind of Legacy that deserved an undefeated WrestleMania streak.
@@ohionative5237 he did. This man fought legendary wrestlers and won every time. But soon as he fights somebody that leaves for 9 months then comes back every time is stupid asf
That’s not what he wanted. They absolutely would have if he had asked for it. He wanted the streak to end, it’s just unfortunate that it didn’t happen a bit sooner when he was still capable of putting on classics.
Breaking The Shield was probably the most unexpected thing when it happened since they were loved by everyone. But even though it was heartbreaking to see them go on separate ways, it was a good decision because they got even more popular as the time went by, achieving a lot. And when they finally got back together, it was a truly special moment since they gave us so many fake reunions over the years
I’ve met The Shield. It was quite interesting watching them warm up before their match…
@KiLDiG Horror Movie Archive ditto for yourself
The shield sucked. All of them sucked. Just a group of guys dressed in cheesy tactical gear with no special in ring talent. Breaking the shield up was the most genius thing that happened. The only way that would've been more genius, would've been terminating each and every former shield member's contracts. Waste of time, space, and money. Dean still blows, reigns, still really blows, and Rollins is just a sad fucking joke.
@@kylejones5376 also ditto for you, young man.
I was a huge Seth Rollins fan back then (still am) but I was really expecting Ambrose to turn heel and feud with Seth Rollins instead of what actually happened.
The streak never should have ended. Especially since Taker rarely held the big belt
it has to end, if he keeps coming back after WM28, he should have stayed retired right there
Imagine Vince McMahon had Roman Reigns ended Undertaker's streak? Roman would've got nuclear negative reactions from fans, just like the night after he defeated the Undertaker at WM33.
@@nwo2cool even since he was hated even more in 2015 and 2016
@@itachi-kun7736 He still keep coming back and wrestlemania don't feel the same anymore. So, that streak broken was not necessary at all.
it should've ended, just not to Brock Lesnar...
they had 5 people who would've made a great story arch for it:
Randy Orton (heel vs. face) - the Legend Killer coming back for the legend he failed to kill...
Kane (heel vs. face) - sibling rivalry continued/ ended...
Bray Wyatt (heel vs. face) - new face of fear, could've even made it to where Bray obtained all Takers supernatural abilities...
Triple H (face, neutral or heel vs. face) vs. - last of the Attitude Era, probably would work best if he beats & retires Shawn Michaels before hand...
and lastly,
Shawn Michaels (face vs. face)- Mr. Wrestlemania vs. the Wrestlemania Undefeated Streak, loser retires... and after Shawn Michaels defeats Taker, he retires anyway...
The streak ending still one of the worst decisions IMO they done especially with the fact taker should of retired after that it would of made more sense to me
I've always said he should've retired after the 2nd HHH main event. ...that image of him n hbk holding up hhh at the top of the ramp was the wrestling version of jordan last shot vs jazz....shouldve ended right there
The streak ending was the right decision, maybe not vs Brock, but Taker shouldnt have retired with the streak unbroken
That match messed me all the way up and it made it worse when my parents kept rewinding it but they only did it because of that guys face reaction that got him famously meme'd
Having the Undertaker retire right after losing the streak would have reduced the phenom entirely to the streak. Honestly, they waited too long with breaking it. Not only was age catching up with Mark by the time he wrestled the match, but with a streak of 21 years of consecutive wins the WWE won't be able to build anything around a wrestler potentially breaking it at some point.
And having it be a last minute decision was obviously stupid as such a big even should have included a wrestler build up for the moment and not Brock Lesnar who gained nothing from it.
@@hatethegamejackson1923 it shoulda ended with Shawn Michaels if it had to be broken
Ending the streak of the Undertaker and Making Kane remove his mask was the worst decisions of all time.
Yes I agree.
While last minute decisions are usually bad nowadays because of the constant bad booking, when they are done right, they can definitely lead to some of the best moments ever.

Ending the undertaker streak will for ever be a bad decision especially for someone like Brock
It was an extremely smart decision, but not for business.
Taker hadn't been especially active or diligent in his training going into the match, and shortly after the match started, taker realized something felt off. He asked Brock if Brock could end it quickly, and Brock even asked if he was sure. Taker made the call to preserve his health, rather than push through as he'd done many many times.
Brock was paying it forward from his own match at wrestlemania a decade earlier, where he gave himself a concussion vs Kurt Angle, and Kurt took great care of him to the matches finish.
The information here doesn't match up well to medical accounts taken backstage after the match.

0:02 I heard Somone Says "Noooo" 😢😔
I totally think the undertaker should have had his streak last until he retired and retired with the streak
The Undertaker has always been more than the streak. Him retiring when it ends would have reduced the entire character to it.
@@GameBreaker1055 No one said retire when it ends I said have the streak still alive when he did finally retire
That would've been awful. Streaks are meant to broken. In wrestling you build up a final boss so when they lose, the winner gets the rub. If taker simply retired with the record, nobody would've been elevated with the streak and it would've been a waste. Imagine if roman just "retired" as UV champ? It wouldn't work.

When the Streak died, WM wasn't the same
I think exactly the same bro
Right?! It makes no sense to have Brock break it, it could’ve been someone else. A rising star who needed the extra push
Yeah brock made no sense, had a Instant star ticket with whoever broke the streak. Instead they used it on a part time wrestler that was already established
I disagree, it did him good & the ratings good, when ever his around the ratings seem to spike, it went south on the fact that he barely made appearances week in week out.
Lets be real here *The Shield never should've broken up so soon* , but they did each achieve big millstones in each of their careers.
*Who ever though to end Undertakers streak was clearly drunk at the time* Undertaker had a right to stay in the history books as undefeated at all WrestleMania's.
I think Bianca getting nerfed was really what broke the gap between WWE and AEW before CM Punk made his appearance. Vince can only really keep brand loyalty for so long when he continues to remain out of touch with the fans.

If this was Roman Reigns ending the streak at WM XXX, that would be different.
@@xgray2012 never should have ended period!
Yep
LOL 100% should of ended, Undertaker wanted it to end, but he didnt want Lesnar to end it. He wanted John Cena to end it. Every Legend goes out the right way, and that is on their back losing. Stone Cold lost his last match to the Rock, the Rock lost his last match to John Cena, and John Cena will lose his last match to who ever the next big thing is... like passing the torch. Streaks are meant to be broken, and meant to be broken by the right people. Undertaker wanted aJohn Cena or Orton, but in the end wanted Cena because he was most deserving. he carried the company for 2 decades, literally lives, and bleed for the company. While Lesnar was in the WWe of what... like 1 year 2002-2003.... TThen comes back as a part timer, and beats Takers streak. The wrost decision was having Lesnar break it
No wonder Big E did not seem as happy winning the title. I wouldn’t be as happy if I knew I’m used for ratings, and not because they want me to be WWE champion.
Jinder as champ was really good. Could’ve booked him to be a lengthy heel
I remember Brock being on his own for about a month when he came back in 2012 for the Cena run, i'm pretty sure that month convinced WWE to bring Heyman back in to do his promos.
Vince has done alot for the wrestling business but this shows it is time for him to take a break
I cant hear the word "drastic" in a wrestling context without just thinking of Scott Steiner's "your chances drastic go down"
Everything in WWE seems like a 10 second decision now
Undertaker should have never lost the streak, a bad decision
Personally taker did so much for the company I always felt like he deserved to retire with the streak with that legacy the streak is what he was mainly gonna b remember for so years later see WrestleMania still going n a banner saying UNDERTAKER 21-0 through out the whole event would've been amazing

@@RenegadeGunn Maybe. Personally I think he shouldve had some more time as a single star and have some more fueds before hand. And tbh I dont see him holding it long.
But either way its in no way a decision that "Changed WWE forever"
@@RenegadeGunn Every time I see him I think of him rolling in the ring like a big fat sausage.
Vince McMahon is an idiot for thinking Taker needed to forfeit his streak to Lesnar of all people. If it was to put over a rising superstar (like Lesnar in the early 2000s or Orton during his Legend Killer era) then sure. But for him to lose it when he did and the way he did- completely undermined everything about Taker’s legacy to create talk for struggling brand that is WWE. MG/Taker deserved better than that
Both Lesnar and the taker didn't want Lesnar to end the streak. They wanted a young talent to end it. Undertaker later revealed that he personally wanted Roman reigns to end his streak because that would have been a great deal for Roman's career.
The streak should never have been broken. The dream list of the Undertaker looks like this for me:
WM-30 - vs John Cena (that would be hot stuff vs prime John after he beats the Rock prev. year)
WM-31 - vs Wyatt
WM-32 - vs Sting (who defeated HHH at the previous Mania)
WM-33 - vs Goldberg (that should have looked strong after the Lesnar squash. No rematch with Lesnar)
WM-34 - vs prime Brock Lesnar (who is angry that Taker stole his previous year's rematch with Goldberg)
WM-35 - vs Kurt Angle (last Angle's match)
WM-36 - vs AJ Styles (as it was)
WM-37 - vs Seth Rollins
WM-38 - vs Drew McIntyre (instead of "happy Corbin")
WM-39 - vs Roman Reigns
WM-40 - vs The Rock
32-0 Baby!!!
Was in the dome the night the streak ended. Feeling the life sucked out of 75,000 people was the most surreal things I have ever felt.
Same here. That’s a moment in time I will never forget. You just had to be there to truly get a feel for that.
Breaking the streak was Horrible 😭😭😭 for everyone
I was at Wrestlemania 30 Live and man I remember the sound of all the fans gasping and standing up in unison
That one guy screaming a second before Rollins made that chair shot. 😭
Lesnar was definitely the right guy to end the streak. He was the only credible person to actually do it at the time without making The Undertaker looking old and weak. Not only was it the right decision, but if it was a real fight Lesnar could destroy him. Keeps in check what The Undertaker held most dearly. Satisfies his old school ways that he lives by and protected his character before retiring.
The Streak didn't end because of WWE, it ended because Undertaker suffered a concussion mid match, and Vince told the referee to tell Lesnar to win, which Lesnar was already doing because he knew he was hurt
The shield one hit different

Jinder is a seriously underrated champion, I enjoyed watching him more than most. Decisions like that make it great to watch. I’d love a jobber to win the rumble, totally unexpected. That would bring viewers back!
Ending the streak was a good idea, otherwise it would be pointless to have a streak. The Undertaker was already a legend so the mistake may have been who they chose, as Lesnar didn't need the boost either.

WWE is insane
Ummm, every decision Vince has made in the last 20 years has been a last second decision. WWE hasn't had long term planning since the 80's.
9:00 I'm Taker's #1 fan but I always envisioned his retirement to be him being defeated by his brother, Kane, and carried away as Mark by the druids. Unfortunately, Kane never agreed to being the one to end The Streak and Undertaker, being loyal to McMahon, went with this. Personally, I think he tarnished his career by wrestling again after this. The whole Streak was built up to the point it became synonymous with Taker. You break one, you have to break the other. Unfortunately, they did exactly that by letting him wrestle after this. I know he wanted to separate himself from The Streak and be remembered as The Undertaker rather than The Streak itself. Nonetheless, the fans made the association and the fans now live with the idea of a tarnished reputation following ANOTHER loss at WM. At the very least, he could've been defeated twice in a row. The whole Bray Wyatt thing totally screwed up the very concept of The Streak.
I think the match with AJ Styles, should've been when he retired. Like sure, keep AJ Styles buried alive, but maybe Taker could've pat his trusty motorcycle, took off the bandana and got into his own grave
There's no question that if anyone was to end _The Streak,_ Brock Lesnar was the animal to do it.
I'll never be convinced that _The Streak_ *should* have been ended, though.
Ending the Undertaker streak was the most shocking and unexpected in my mind. And till this day Iam disappointed that the 21 and 0 was ended (ruined).Still working on that time machine folks.Until then REST IN PEACEEEE.
Big E winning the title was done to promote a heavyweight champion at the tyson vs fury fight. Smart of vince.

The Undertaker's steak should have NEVER ended! The Shield was heartbreaking, & should have been done a little later, & when it was done, it should have been done differently! As far as Bianca? She got screwed hard in the game! There's no way she should have lost! But especially the way she did!

I disagree with the breakup of the Shield. At least with how it was done. It should have been Roman that turned, seeing as how people hate him anyway. But at least it gave us Jon Moxley back.
I'm on the fence about the streak ending. Not necessarily that it ended, but who it ended with. I'm a huge Lesnar fan, but I still think the win should have gone to someone who was up-and-coming, rather than a known part-timer. It could have given a huge boost to a young talent. But Vince has been so out of touch for so long, these are the kind of decisions the fans get. Which is why AEW is my preferred wrestling company.
I personally think the streak should’ve never ended and Taker shoulda retired at 20-0. The Hell in a Cell with HHH and Shawn as ref was beautiful. However if they absolutely had to? My dream woulda been to have Cena turn heel to end the streak.
nah bruh seth rollins was such a good heel
Roman was loved at that time he wasn't booed as he wasn't pushed to the moon at that time

Undertaker was in so much pain when he wrestled Roman that, Taker losing the streak in that match is the only decision that made sense! Especially how Roman is now!

The intro beat raw asf
Kane should have returned in a buried alive match at mania where we won and permanently vanquished the deadman
If WWE were ever going to end The Streak, they should have pulled the trigger on it sooner with Randy Orton at WM 21. It gives Taker time to win-out at Mania for the rest of his career to make the fans happy in the end, it forever cements the idea that a smaller opponent can win with the right tools and strategy against any odds, and Randy Orton's RKO becomes as legendary as the Stone Cold Stunner.
You are aware it was offered to Orton to end it then. He refused.
I don’t think they should have given the title to Hogan at WrestleMania 9. I think by Yokozuna losing to him in a matter of seconds hurt his momentum a little bit. He looked like an unstoppable monster up until that point.
