The Wii u had a built-in camera on its gamepad but it was removed for the switch so hopefully they can bring that back on the switch 2

They are undoubtedly adding backwards compatibility. “Long shot” would be inaccurate. The “long shot” will be your likelihood of getting one. They’re going to be sold out everywhere. I hope Nintendo is already manufacturing the consoles now in advance.

The only thing killing my hype is the reliable rumour of the 8inch LCD and no OLED option. Really think I'd struggle to go back unless there's some killer games that aren't compatable with Switch Gen1.
It isn’t a data mine, the rumour is not that accurate. I believe OLED will be available for the $349 model.
@@QnjtGWonQNqVsbYyzjx4 There's part of me that thinks now they've released an OLED they must see the demand for it - but at the same time most people would buy a Switch Gen2 with an LCD, so they could milk the OLED version 1-2 years into the product being launched. Otherwise if they roll out all the best features on launch not sure what they'd do for mid-gen - Nintendo doesn't really do half-life hardware upgrades except for display.
@@GoodnightBng the new 3DS can be seen as kinda of a power upgrade, they can do 4K mid-gen instead of at launch, most people only need 1440p60 anyway. Maybe the $299 model is LCD

To be honest, i feel like nintendo has reached the most nintendo console design yet. I feel like from now they might just release like spec upgrades as new consoles like switch pro or whatever. Like more features and it’s just too much.

There's something you clearly don't understand about digital only consoles, consoles like the digital ps5 don't have disc readers and those cost around 40 bucks so the jump from 500 to 450 is justified, but there is no way a cartridge reader costs more than 20 bucks to there wouldn't be a point to making a digital only console if th3 digital only console would cost let's say 470, that would just be confusing and nintendo learned from the wii u and the confusion behind it so I wouldn't see them doing that

See, my only problem with this is that there's not much of a value proposition to your Switch 2. I think you're missing that Nintendo gimmick that really differentiates this from the OG Switch. Nintendo tried going the sheer power route with the Gamecube, and it didn't quite work out. After watching this, I'm asking myself why I would buy the Switch 2 if it's so similar to the OG Switch and if Nintendo will presumably continue to support the OG Switch for at least a year. There's definitely that unexpected Nintendo twist that we're all missing...

I am not saying this rudely, but a consturctive critism: This whole prediction just described the Wii U. Bad name, barely an upgrade, repetitive launch titles, and overpriced for what you're getting. A remaster of a 3DS game that most people don't care about, that would look and play the exact same as it would seem on Switch to Switch 2, and sequel to a game from 2017, where the hype is dying down, only contoller update is a new look, and no joycon drift?
NSMBU was a terrible game to launch with, people were done with the New series, and it just looks more smooth. People want a new take on 3D Mario, as they do every system. The Odyssey sequel will take place, and look like Odyessey too? That's 3D World. 3D World is an amazing game no doubt, but was a bad choice for the Wii U. It was the only 3D Mario on the Wii U, and a Wii U was doing terrible too, and basically a sequel to 3D Land. Wii U barely had an upgrade, system looked cleaner, and a gamepad, which just looks like an addition to the Wii. New joycons, and the big twist is a big feature is gone, and no joycon drift, and a new look? A new DKC game wont save the system either, DKTF was beyond an amazing game and one of the best DK games, and a great looking game, and it launched on the Wii U. And the Wii U still failed.
Wii U was a lazy name, then Switch 2? Switch 2 does a better job at clarifying it's a sequel, but that's not Nintendos route they go with names, and sounds very basic. People want a upgraded home menu, music, and new icons, and themes, and there'll be just themes? People are starting to want a new system, just like the Wii, but Nintendo thought people would drop $300 for it. They were trying to chase a high people were dying down on. Everyone who wants a Switch, seems to have one now, and people that want one, want to wait until the next system.
ToTK is 900p, and 30fps so it being 1080p and 60fps will make people buy it? Furthermore, a lot of big sellers for the Switch are in 1080p 60fps. Animal Crossing New Horizions, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Super Mario Party all are 1080p and 60ps, so if Nintendo just makes a sequel, that looks the exact same, and plays the same, you'll have to drop 500 bucks to play it? That is the Wii U.
Then leak wise, you're missing a lot of points, these are credible leaks too, not some 4chan: Switch 2 will seem to use DLSS RTX to upscale games to appear cleaner than they are, and upgrade the graphics/frame rate. Since Nvidia worked with Nintendo on the Switch, and it sold very well, this rumor has been around since 2020, and is really anything but confirmed now. Switch 2 was shown at gamesom, and BoTW was at 4K and 60FPS with no loading times. And Matrixs 5: Awakens to show it off. A game Sony used to show off the PS5. And a new 3D Mario game, will be a new IP, not Odyssey related. The Tawinese leak, seems to show it PS4 Pro level, but people miss that's without DLSS RTX & it's just the handheld mode. People miss that the Switches native resoutlion is 700p and 30fps, but the dock boosts up the graphics to the TV. The handheld mode will seem to look and play like a Steam Deck/PS5 Portal. And the Tawisnese leak suggested the system can go up to 120fps.
Nintendo's consoles are usally more gimmicks, more than graphics. If Nintendo wants to pull off doing a "Super Switch", they'll have to go down the better graphic/fps route will making it handheld too to pull it off.
