- Today I went to Dick's Last Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina whilst I was out presenting the worlds strongest man. This is the original idea of a rude customer service but great food.
I went to Karen’s diner in the uk last year and received the worst possible service ever…. Does Dick's Last Resort live up to the name and make Karen’s diner look lame?!

The worker was a fucking cool dude man. He waited until you paid and the show was over then he come to you as an actual person and gave you the respect that he's a fan. That was pretty fucking dope

Years ago there was a Japanese restaurant in London who had the rude theme going. When I went there, there was a couple sitting behind us and the woman didn't get the theme at all. She got upset and said to the waiter "my husband makes more in a week than you do in a year". The waiter said "how come he can't afford a hot wife then?"

I prefer Karen’s. These guys were a little too nice for the concept of the restaurant. They’re better suited to be a regular restaurant lol they seem too chill to play the rude asshole role
Hard disagree. The main point of the restaurants are to be rude which Karen's has down to a tee without breaking character.

I think we need to define what we mean, if we would like to argue.
For example in germany, bavaria, there is this saying, he is an old arse, which is meant as a compliment and describes someone who is rude, says what on his mind but has your best interest for you.
Someone like that would fit to Dicks but not to Karens.
My understanding of your point is that being rude means being insultive, hurtful, aggressive, loud and obnoxious.
Which fits perfectly for Karens but is a big difference.
This is all personal preference, but I think many like honest rudity if it isn´t obnoxious. Therefore they go to Dicks for banter, drinks, games and fun.
Why you would prefer Karens I would really like to understand

I went to one years ago, told my friend to wear a tie to dinner that night. On entry they stopped him, complimented his attire and pulled out some scissors and clip his tie in half. It ruined his night but we had a blast.

We went there when we were in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Was so much fun. Unfortunately nacho appetizers are that big of not bigger in the US.

They have one in Vegas I went to was much harsher than this but hilarious 😂 loved every second of it. Would say closer to Karen’s but agree best surprise was food was awesome as well. Great when u go somewhere for the theming and food is awesome as well!
