The Golf GTI of the eighth generation surprised us in a good way. It's still a very comfortable daily, which now also drives well thanks to the VAQ LSD, an exceptionally good engine and, finally, a stabilization that is possible to turn off completely. Even the chassis geometry and setup is much more fun than before and driving at the grip limit is well controllable.
The diesel GTD takes the technology of the petrol GTI and adds excellent economy. Even at a very dynamic pace, the consumption hardly exceeds 10 liters per 100 km. The rev range of the 2.0-liter TDI is dramatically better than ever before, and the power is sufficient for most roads. Compared to the petrol GTI, however, the chassis setup is too neutral and the GTD is less agile.
The biggest weak point is low traction without a proper LSD. It's a shame because otherwise the GTD could keep up with the more powerful GTI!

Pěkná silnice, pěkná jízda. Jen to řazení je na prd, asi by tomu mnohem víc slušel manuál.

I think that this creak is from the seats, exactly from belt attachment same on the Nissan Qashqai, sometimes do sometimes not. Because seats rubbing there

I really do not understand why making a "sporty" diesel. Get a GTI, lighter, better sound, and at least you can go over 5k rpms
