In this video, I will walk you through how to process receipts and create a travel expense report effortlessly using ChatGPT. Credit card statements often lack the details needed to remind us what we have purchased. That's why I always keep all of my receipts and create a travel expense report. This helps me review my spending and create a better budget for my next trip.

These are some of the receipts I collected during my Japan Trip 2024. I numbered them with my handwriting and circled each receipt with a receipt number.
Please create an expense report on a spreadsheet with at least the following columns, and create new columns as needed:
Receipt Number (My handwriting)
Date
Merchant (Original Japanese)
Merchant (English)
Item / Service
Category (define for me; put MISC if not clear. Try to understand the category from the item or service description. If it is food/drinks, mark the category as DINING)
Tax
Fees
Total (in original Japanese yen amount)
Total US (calculate this value based on the exchange rate between Japanese yen and US dollars on the date of the transaction)
If there are issues parsing details for some of the fields, put "Can't Parse". Let me know which receipts you have issues processing.
Rename all attached image files with their Receipt Number_Date_Merchant.jpg and bundle them into a zip file.
