Got a 2005 cbr 600rr, had it 18 years, got 22000 miles and still goes like a dream…..as I’m 50 now I’ve been looking for something a bit more sensible like the new Daytona , then this comes out and I think, fook it, whilst ignoring my back….this is 10 and half grand, I’m having it.
Back in 2000 I bought a BRAND NEW R6 for 6k. According to the Bank of England inflation calculator, that amount is now 10.8k so this CBR 600 is right on the money but with MORE technology.
Sportsbike 600s struggled to sell when they cost almost as much as a 1000 superbike to buy. But now Honda and Kawasaki are selling their sportsbikes for just over £10K (half the cost of a 1000, and only a little more than the parallel twin crowd); it’s a bargain!
Another idea is that the used market was so saturated with these, that people would just have bought a few years old used one. Now that they were off the market for a few years and the old ones are quiet dated, people are interested in buying new ones again. At least that's my guess looking at the used bike, most super sports are 1000CCs between 2000 and 2010. But yea, currently this bike looks like an amazing bargain compared to other bikes.
@ciuffoarancione8929 just too bad it doesn't have even the minimum of safety features such as ABS and a personal preference but I'd like it more updated to today's bikes

What's the difference between wet and dry weather slider pucks? Are the wet ones a little softer, for more grip and better control, because the moisture will allow them to slide more, possibly allowing you to lose control and low side??
Would love another CBR600. After the previous eyebrow lights model, this looks really sharp (except the T-Rex arm wings) and keeps the underseat exhaust as well. Slipper clutch on a 600🤔...great. Great paint colour though Honda's usual dull designs.
My 02 F4i just recently got crushed in a rear end accident. Devastated to lose my steed, was still in perfect condition, what an engine it had. This video has me rethinking my next purchase from something more upright and sensible to what I know best.
I have 2005 600rr for almost 10 years now, 5 of which used as a track bike. It never even once let me down throughout the years. At this point it's more like a family member rather than a bike😂
Hi, i search for new bike to use on track only, and have question which one to choose the new 600rr vs r6? Can you say something about brake calipers in 600rr compared to r6 or how the new 600rr brakes in general
We’ve had this revised 600 in Australia since it became Euro5 compliant. However, the asking price was just ridiculous! Way too expensive. However, from my perspective, learning how to ride these fast on track provides more scope to improve before jumping onto a 1000 cc bike. When I started out racing in Australia the steps were 250 cc production class 2 strokes, then the 600 Supersports before stepping up again into Superbike Racing. As around Phillip Island had lap times spread with incremental lap time increases of between 12-15 seconds per category. Possibly one reason why a country with a comparatively low population has produced so many world champions in different classes.
I had a 2013 CBR600RR HRC. Loved everything about that bike then I let a friend ride it November 26th 2022 and he totaled it out ( 4 broke ribs and a punctured lung, He's fine now ) Now I have a 2019 ZX6R. It is the faster bike by far.. I was going to get another Honda, because I like the looks of the CBR 600 more than any of the other 600's ( What few of them that are left ) But I got such a good deal on the ZX6R ( $5,500 with 8,000 miles on it ) I couldn't pass it up, and now I'm glad I didn't even though the CBR600RR is a better looking bike... CBR600RR will always hold a place in my heart. I've owned 2 of them, a 2004 tahitian blue pearl. And the aforementioned 2013 HRC tricolor

I bought my 2005 600rr as my first bike because when looking for common issues across different brands the Honda was the one I couldn't really find serious issues and I put on a trouble free 20,000+ miles before I totaled it. I replaced it with my friend's wrecked 2008 600rr and rebuilt it and through commuting, canyon runs, and track days it hasn't had a single issue. I absolutely don't miss the CRB600RR... I still have it.
😅
Love the CBR 600RR - The Sweet Spot of sports bike. They should name it the "CBR 600 RR RTH"; because it is perfect out of the box for the ROAD, the TRACK and the HOOD. There is not a single bad thing about it. Is it a 1000 - NO - It is a 600(599cc).
did you put the third slider on the end of your dong, it has to be big to go that speed on a wet track and right on the edge of grip, great stuff Al, your pieces to camera is really good to.
Really hope this comes to American market
how does that compete up to an r6?
is it faster than 250kmh?
what a beauty , better than a bmw or ducati
Just too cramped unlike the fireblade when I sat on one. Had a 2017 blade and loved it so might be biased
why do you need different pucks for the wet?
Wet sliders are thicker, so your knee touches the ground with less lean angle.
I love this bike. Wish i have one.
At least it's an actual sports bike rather than a pretender, and for that reason, I'm glad it exists.
