- This video was originally published as a multi part series and has been remastered into a long format episode. 200+ miles on the dirt from Utah to Colorado along the Rimrocker trail and beyond. We set out to put as many miles on the dirt as we possibly could over 3 days and in this video we head out on the Rim Rocker trail traveling from Utah to Colorado, going from the heat of the desert, to the cool climate of the Mountains. We encounter some scenic views, find some epic camp spots, eat some great foot and have a memorable overland adventure!

This adventure was originally filmed in 2019 as a multi-part series and has been remastered into this full-length movie. All new long format adventures coming soon!
I was surprised to see the Gladiator, so that makes sense.
@@a.r.o7697, I was first tipped off by Marco’s old JK.
Love your content, can't wait to see more, I would love to do some overlanding with my little 89 Toyota pickup
It seems like are you over landers are always on a strict schedule I really don’t understand that if you are full-time mean just saying
Was really wondering when you got another gladiator. Do you still have the power wagon? Should do a fleet update on your next coffee one take
This was one of the first videos of yours that I watched and got hooked; good memories; my wife of 44 years was still alive and I didn’t have cancer; thank you⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎😎😎😎🤩
I heard about Rimrocker from your original video a few years back, and it motivated me to take my lifted 4Runner out there this past summer from Ohio. It was an experience of a lifetime. We had my 06 4Runner, and my buddies 08 Land Cruiser, and we took about 3 days to do the trail. Started Friday afternoon, finished Sunday around noon, and had perfect weather for early July and great food to go along with it. Went along to do White Rim Road in Canyonlands the next day, which was just as impressive. Thanks for doing such a fantastic in-depth review on such an awesome trail!
So beautiful to hang out with friends and really see the CountrySide!!!
That was an amazing first campsite! It certainly pays to alter plans from time to time.
The footage was awsome on this trip. Great job Brad!!
Love Marco’s new paint job!!!!
I did the Rimrocker in the other direction back in September. Loved it!
Awesome footage as usual! Keep it coming!
Came and did part of the Rimrocker back in June with a couple local buddies, in a rental TRD Offroad Tacoma, all the way from Australia. Could not have fallen more in love with a place than I did in the Utah/Colorado mountains; we started from Biscuit Rock and pushed on over to Onion Creek and Moab over the next day or two.
Great video to watch having my morning coffee. Looks like you all had a real good time and ate very well. Thanks for sharing!!
Insane views on this trip! Very cool
damn, you guys eat better off the grid than I do at home. beautiful scenery as always, amazing food, good times and good friends. Glad to see Marco pull through thanks Brad
My son and i did that trail over the summer. It was great, not difficult but a nice way to go from Colorado to moab.
Another classic from Brad.
THANK YOUR for dipping back in the archives and putting this one together!! Rim Rocker is on our list for early summer 2023.
Great video, as always. I caught your comment about not liking shelf roads. I completely agree. I've been in Moab for 22 years. The shelf roads I am most uncomfortable with are in the high country in nearby Colorado.
This is one trail that is on my list. I can’t wait to get out West.
Another amazing video! Thank you for starting my weekend right!!!!! Made my weekend!
and THANK YOU for the lovely coffee & cooking clips!!!!!
Visited a friend in Santee and they took me up to Julian. Fantastic pies and bread. Brought back a great memory in the Gladiator.
Can't wait to do something similar.
Fresh footage, archive footage, it's all awesome.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you !
Awesome beautiful epik trail 👍🤘❤❤❤
Awesome 😎
You guys have a great time specially cooking dinner and my special hello to the sebiche man 👍
Your videos are always relaxing😊🔥
Great trail.
First one I can remember going UT to CO. Cool one Brad!
Marco's cooking makes my mouth water everytime. Gonna order your cookbook Marco! Yummy makes me wanna be there....❤✌️
Food is a part of the journey that brings the camaraderie closer.
You pulled me in with that lead Gladiator. I just bought a 2023 Gladiator Sport in the same color this weekend. Got some Cooper AT3 XLTs put on today. A friend with a Rubicon Wrangler and I will be hitting the trail Saturday morning. So hot here in SW Texas right now though. No big adventures until it cools down. Thanks for putting this into a full video.
Hello my good friend I enjoy your show keep up good work that is fun to get good fresh air get out of the city and town no stressful no depressed and have good time in mountain wow that was a beautiful view 😊
Nice cinematography.
Appreciate your work that goes into the videos.
41:54......MRAP (Mine Resistant Armored Protected) vehicle.......looks like.
I live in Western Colorado and see those AMAZING views every day. Life is goodie. But I don't have a Jeep or a Marco. Lol. great video
Hey, Brad!!!
Awesome adventures.
Regarding your battery, the new Goal Zero models feature the charging port on the back part of the battery instead of the front.
Happy trails!!!!
Fantastic editing and music combo.
I’m planning to run the Rimrocker next summer, CO to UT. Great video.
Same here
Great video!
I'm planning on hitting at least part of Rim Rocker on the way back from SEMA next month. Can't wait to see it in person finally!
Just found this channel. Love the video.
I can bet you didn’t expect to see MCSO’s Mrap , great videos’ looks different from the cameras then when driving it , scenery is great
, enjoy all your trips
Damn i got excited thinking you got another Gladiator!
Красивая природа, отличные автомобили, только бездорожья не заметил.
guys doing a good job. love respect from Pakistan
All I want for Christmas…… is a Trail Recon hoody!
Thanks for always inspiring new adventures. Your camp spot there at cliff's edge truly does have epic views. Would love to know if you guys have footage of Spirit Mountain, or if that's in your itinerary for the future. :)
A buddy and I did RR last year from east to west in our adventure Vans. We were luck enough to score the epic camp spot. Great Trail!
Sprinters? Did you scratch then up? I’ve paid off my Super Duty work truck but it’s still beautiful so I’m not ready for pinstriping.
@@PlanoRob haha. Yeah I new about that part so we ducked out back to the highway. Figured we weren’t gonna see much anyway with all the bush coverage:) great trail though !
I’m admittedly an off-road newbie but surprised that you guys aired down for that first leg. While much prettier, seemed like what we call roads in west Texas.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support! Sorry for not replying sooner. It was hard keeping up with everything while I was heading to the Arctic but I really appreciate the support.
Great video. New to off-road is this a trail for me
This one's on my list in 2023
Shout out to South America for creating some dank camp food..
Awesome video! I always travel with antibiotics. Preppers buy theirs from Cal Vet Supply. Look up fish flex. It’s cephalexin that they can sell without a prescription because the say it’s for fish. It’s the exact same pill the Dr prescribes. Cephalexin is a pretty good all purpose antibiotic. They also have others. Love your channel!
Thanks for watching the channel! I'd recommend being very careful taking antibiotics without a prescription. Not everything needs to be treated with an antibiotic and not all antibiotics treat the same bacteria/infections. Overuse of antibiotics is a real problem which is why some bacteria become resistant to them. Safe travels!
@@TrailRecon I completely agree with everything you said. Still, when you're in the backcountry there are times you know without a doubt you're going to need them, and it's better to have a little overuse than to need them and not have them. You definitely need to use a little more than common sense, but when used with caution, they can literally be a life saver.
I was like wait when did u get another gladiator but just read your comment about this is a remaster lol. When I seen Marcos hand it reminded me that I had seen this or did he cut his hand again lol.
I can't wait to get me another truck/jeep and begin to overland again..
Brad tell Marco he should think about naming his trailer the "Mess Hall"
( with being in the Army) I think it would be cool 😎 🙂
Do you have a collection of recipes, made into a cookbook for us to use while on the trails? I would buy one in a heartbeat, help with a shopping list and the utensils and what is used to cook with. I lived in Coaldale, Colorado for 20 yrs and never knew of all the Jeep trails! I'm hooked! Thanks for sharing.
Aku dari indonesia surabaya, aku sangat menikmati perjalanan kalian. Good job bro...
This is truly amazing and beautiful thank you for sharing this great video it's so much fun and it's allot too take in
It's would be awesome if you could have go pro's that you could put on the front or back of every vehicle well maybe for the rough stuff I don't know if that could help with getting the extra video without getting out and watching everyone drive by just an idea
I thought that you got rid of the gladiator! 😮
Marco is such a positive person. You two are like a fine pair of boots. What month did you do this trip?
Looks like a pretty epic trip! Any more multi-day trips planned for 2023?
I was surprised to see the gladiator I thought you did not have it anymore.
Correct, I sold the Gladiator a while back. This video has been remastered from a series of previous videos to include all episodes from that trip into one video.
We really enjoy your trips you take. What type of radios do you and your fellow travelers use to communicate with while you are on the trail?
That kitchen trailer needs a handle. I’m thinking “Chuck wagon.”
You could have just brought a pop up shower (which is cheap and very portable for the changing cleaning and kept the swag but old school ground tent camping FTW forget about rooftops
I have pictures of me in that same camp site!! Im suprised you drove past the lake and didnt check it out. Good ol Paradox, CO is down below.
Julian Pie for the win.
Love seeing you guys adventure! i have been waiting to do some trails you have done in southern Ca love your videos !
Awesome! Thank you!
Really like all your content, excellent video. You’ve given me some good ideas for my 22 Bronco Badlands as well. BUT… the maple “syrup “ was just a no go. With all the fine Meals you guys have you need a fine syrup from Maine. And I’ll send you a some. No comparison..
Does Marco have a cookbook? He food is amazing! He needs to make a camping cookbook with all of his recipes
He does! I think it’s called the overland cook book
outstanding👍💯🌲🌲🏆🥇🚙🇺🇲🇺🇲
What size lift and tires are Marco running in this video and is that a jku?
Hey Brad. Would you ever try a tear drop? Just purchased a luna rover and a Rubicon for some fun here in Maine
37:48 Polo!
Can confirm, it’s not passable on the montrose side right now lol
we are so excited about our journey along the same path and have watched this like 4x in anticipation!!! if only we had a Marco!! any chance you have coordinates on that first camp spot?
Love your channel! Would you share some info of how to get there ? Map ? Pin ? Coordinate? Is it open and passable in December? Thank you for all the awesome content
❤😊
awesome man
A trail I can’t wait to do!! Do you still have the truck camper?
@ 3:08 how accurate are the pressure relief valves when used to air down? Smart!
Whoo, first!
👍😃😃
Hi, could u possibly give gos coordinates to that beautiful campsite from the first night. Headed that way in June. Would love to stay there overlooking the valley.
Dude, seriously jealous! How do you carve out that much time? Gotta know.
Do you think an off-road capable Ford F-250 would be able to do the rim rocker trail?
America's beauty is underated. I'll swap it for my country anytime. AU, a sunbaked country🥵🥵
Was hoping you'd tell us the GPS coordinator of at what mile the little off shoot was where you camped that had the viewm
Nice video. Do you have a video on the topographical/trail mapping program/ devices
Hey brad, I know you had some Patagonia’s on your gladiator before. Did you like them???
would you recommend the jeep 4xe for this trail?
I thought Marco was a vegetarian?? Explain please. LOVE all the vids! keep it up!
Come on doc gotta have a couple z packs in the med bag never know what you need them for😏😂
@30:43 you went though a small town w/ a gas station and flew on though. I feel you should have stopped and supported the local economy so they might still be there the next time.
That's a good point and something I am usually mindful of, but we travel though so many small towns, sometimes you can't stop at them all.
How would a Powerwagon have done if it was in your group?
I have a question do you have to have a camping permit when doing this trail I'm doing research so I can what place I can try
'we are campers with an eating problem' 😆😆😆😆😆😅😅😅😅
What do you air down to for trails like that?
