Sort of reminds me of the size and slope of the ‘ski jump’ dirt chute at Battle Creek … way up at the very top of the bluff above the creek and the parking lot.
Great tip! I admit i'd be intimidated to ride this. Maybe a dumb question, but is it the same technique if it's smaller? Like a 2 foot decline? Or is that more of a "peek and push"?
It's the same technique as I showed in this video going over the rock, which is much smaller. The backside of the rock is no different than this bridge ramp.
@@mutleyadamsracing2684 I agree, but this is too steep for me to personally consider pre-hopping it. I do it on all kinds of stuff to gain speed. I will leave pre-hopping something this steep for the younger folks...🤣
I'd add something about what could go wrong, and since I'm naturally rich in negativity, here's what I see: the compression on the bottom of this can be unpleasant. #1 don't air this, roll slow from the top; #2 your head can get heavy in the bottom, which takes some experience to get used to it and find way to absorb; #3 as you hit the dirt bike feels heavy and there's a moment when you can slow down or turn; #4 but, a second after that it feels light again, and if you made a mistake during #3 it will be too late to correct, and if you try the front brake it will turn really nasty 🤷
I mentioned #1. The rollout is gradual enough to not have a g-out effect, so no worries there. It's also not high enough to have enough speed to cause a g-out. But something bigger likely would if there isn't much of a rollout.
Thanks for this Shad. I rode Theo earlier in the same day you filmed this. I rode past this after looking at it. I can only think about what can go wrong. Is this steeper than the bridge in Paradise in Monarch? I've ridden that with no problem.
@@Stumpy1991 I am not sure what bridge in Paradise you are talking about? The one on the jump line? To me that's more like a giant roller and nothing like this. Although, the same pitch control I talk about is used for both.

This looks like a feature I would like hopping into so I’m landing on the downward side and pumping out
I am sure some people could do that. I hop into a lot of downsides, but this one is too steep for me to personally consider it.

Yo u should prehop into that
That would be one heck of a front end nose dive...🤣
@@ShadLife no dude its fun and practice for dropping into squirell catchers and steep bits
