It looks like those once in a decade types of movies, i hope it lives by this trailer's premise.
Nearly 100 years after the movie Metropolis, this looks like F. F. Copolla's reimagining of the original theme. It is clearly influenced.

I will see this the day it opens, so please Francis and/or the distributors, there's demand for a wide release. We are hungry out here for imagination and originality in our cinema regardless of whether it all "works" or not. A polarizing ambitious work is what we need. Let it happen. I was one of the few who saw Babylon while everyone else was seeing that Avatar thing and it was worth engaging an imperfect but original movie.
I have to say it's interesting. A big budget Art house film.

97 years ago the first real Sci-Fi movie come out called "Metropolis" and when "Megalopolis" was announced I thought we was
getting a remake or a sequel as it has some of the same vibes about it.
Yeah but Metropolis was a reference to Berlin not New York.

The art direction is great.
At 1:28 mark, is where the story becomes brilliant.
I know that feeling, this level…all that have ascended beyond the societal programming are at this level. It is a most amazing level…and it has nothing to do with material, wealth….its all mental. It is the ability to see life and the living in code instead of in a shell that we have been strategically placed in by society.

the problem with this kind of movies is, its too "colourful" for cinema purists(snobs) and too complex for the avg marvel enjoyer. I think if someone can watch the movie as a whole thing without thinking too much about camera angles, meaning of the colour palate, etc. / stop trying to look for the tits/abs of the actors, it will be a good one
