    Making your job harder. There’s one pin on each side. Pull those pins and pull the mower deck out and flip it over. Took you longer to jack the mower up.

  • @stevesmith2226
    @stevesmith2226 Před 3 lety +13

    The deck should have a quick disconnect to drop it and roll it out, shouldn’t have to raise it.

      Good to know!

      It does have a disconnect, but it’s not really “quick”. It’s quicker to use a jack.

      @@tedschmitt178 It's 3 measly clevis pins.... you think pulling 3 pins takes longer than doing THIS?? 2:23

    Why don't you just remove the deck to put on the blades . Gives you a chance to clean it and inspect belts and pulleys and deck engagement cable . Use slip plate on the underside of your deck 4 coats helps keep grass from sticking to the underside of the deck . my son taught me that because he uses it on his flatbed tow trucks . some will stick but easy to remove

    My 50” fab deck has a different spindle, it doesn’t use the star pattern blades. It’s more like a Z pattern. Blades are too thin and wear out very fast.

      Glad you commented. I have the FAB deck and would have become frulustrated.

    It's not that heavy. Just lift the front into the blocks or slide the deck out. Also, you are lucky the impact didn't spin the blades into your hand.
