- In this video I show In detail how to change the blades quickly and easily in a Toro timecutter riding lawnmower. The blades that were removed were from the factory. They were shot! It had the mower vibrating and making terrible noises when engaged. Now it cuts as smooth as butter and drives great!

Where Did You Get The Blocks?
The blocks that sit behind the wheels? If so, they are just scrap 2x4 pieces of wood.
So how you lock the blades?
If you don't have an impact, you can use some vice grips to lock the blades in place. The grips will wedge against the deck .
What blades did you use?
Here are two links for them with different prices.

My Toro dealer said not to use these thick blades on my 42" Toro Timecutter. He said the smaller spindle won't stand up to them.
These blades are doing very well and my machine is cutting awesome. I have NOT seen any signs of an issue, vibrating (in which would be one of the first signs), etc... if you have a new machine that's under a warranty, I could see how they would recommend not to use them. Thank you so much for watching.
If you had a lawn mower lift you could get under there so much better
I have to use what I have and can afford. Thank you for watching.
@@TerenceDIY yes sir I definitely understand that and a great video
I splurged a heavy future lift from Tractor Supply a few months ago. It’s a game changer for me with my two Toro 50 inch ZTRs and a John Deer X500 garden tractor. I can comfortably change all the blades as well as hit the underside of the deck with my pressure washer.
Don't you clean it? EVER??
Why put mulching blades on a non mulching deck? If you're using those blades get the mulching kit for your deck.
You should have got the commercial mower. The deck is VERY thing on residential
yea the thin ones only last 18-20yrs on residential stuff, be sure to spend the extra money so the deck outlasts the engine.
