I have an original Dan Wesson 15-2VH that I bought new in 1978, It is a pistol pack - 2-4-6-8 inch barrels. As quality and acuracy it stands with the Colt Python from the same error.
I think Dan Wesson revolvers are some of the finest guns that a working man can afford. They are very accurate and in my opinion BEAUTIFUL! I currently own a 357, model 15-2 with both a 6" and a 4" vent, heavy barrel. Fun gun to shoot.
Thank you for your comment! I think that I just like the S&W style better. I have not had the best of luck with accuracy using that pistol, but that may have just been that particular pistol's sites were off or I wasn't seeing straight or both 🙂 I have read that Dan Wesson pistols are great guns.
38 does not go faster than a 9mm unless you load your own or drop the bullet weight and get the round above expansion threshold. Both is preferred for the 38. 357 on the other hand is far more powerful that a 9mm and much faster. When I load a 38, I use a 125 grain jacketed hollow point. Dan Wesson revolvers are excellent quality, but I do agree they lack that "high quality" look. The interchangeable barrels do make it a more versatile gun though. Most my revolvers are Ruger currently. Plan to get a couple colts this coming year. A python and an anaconda.

Cool, I didn't know that the barrels were interchangeable.
"CTG" stands for "cartridge," it's not part of the model designation.
