I listen to the soundtrack quite frequently (once or twice every couple of days) and I can picture all of Jeff's moves quite clearly in my head. Also so happy that what do you want paul is the number one spot I really hoping it was

honestly yeah i do jksdfhlskdj you can actually see him doing it during mouthface's death scene in tto and i think once he got called out for it on a livestream he now thinks very hard about not doing it (though he did cite jim carrey as an inspiration so it could be unrelated)

But I have a therory that the boss and Sam are actually the general going undercover to try to stop TGWDM before it happened. He makes it clear that this isn’t the first time this has happened meaning he may have been sent in to try to eather figure out what’s happening or try to prevent it somehow.
Sam had tickets to mamma Mia the When the metor crashed into the theater Sam was one of the people may have been at the theater. He didn’t get to see the show playing but he was close enough to get infected. That’s why every character Jeff plays is infected.
Yes, I think the general was already infected and the hive was once agin messing with Paul and was planing to kill the others when they got to the meet up spot that’s why zoey’s driving the chopper she was supposed to kill them if they managed to get on.
I don’t think Sam died during the join us and die song. If you think about it the guy took a trash can lid to the head and was clearly injured. I don’t think a gun would have done that.
If that’s true where did the wound go? Well, If you look at all of the other infected people only one seems to have a mark from there death and that would be Charlotte. The other characters don’t keep these wound, including Higgins who was literally ripped open. I think the hive wounds heal and regenerate after a bit of time, charlotte had just been infected so she still had her wound. That’s why the boss doesn’t have any wounds during let it out. He’s had more then enough time to heal up.
So in summery the general gets infected, he pretends to be Paul’s boss tries to infect the people at the office. They escape but luckily “sam’s” wife calls for help leading him straight to them. He disguises himself as Sam to keep the employees from running away when they see him. He tries once agin to threaten the other into letting him infect them but ted conks him out and take him to doctor Higgins. They tie him up but he convinces Charlotte to let him out then kills her. By this point he’s been unable to infect Paul, and was conked in the head. He’s probably pretty agitated witch is why “join us and die” is so aggressive. He’s done being nice to these people. He gose for the others but Higgins stop him by shooting him in the head. This didn’t kill him he pretended it did most likely to mess with the group and slowly break down Paul before killing him. This is conferred later when we see the hive doesn’t want to kill Paul instantly. When everyone’s left to do their things he gets up and gets into his uniform. He calls his boss and tells him he needs reinforcements. He then, with the help of zoey and others infect the solders and head to the school. He catches Paul and tells him there’s a helicopter coming to pick him up. He puts on a bit of a act to make himself seem more human. After he waits for them to arrive. Ted arives instead claiming to be the last survivor and the general kills. I can’t think of why this would be if it the hive as it would probably be easier to trick Paul and Emma. The only thought I could have is that the hives done with Paul’s shit and isn’t thinking clearly because of it. Of course Paul and Emma get on the chopper with zoey and Paul goes to destroy the meteor. The general relizes Paul’s still alive and dresses as his boss agin so he can convince Paul to join the hive by having fimiler faces. He also gather the others as he gose. This is why he’s the lead singer of “Paul’s a coming”, he’s the one setting the stage and also the human representation of the meteor.

this show does such a good job of blending comedy, horror, and commentary. "america is great again" and "join us and die" especially. they both take you out of the original campy concept and are genuinely unsettling.

Completely not, well maybe a bit in the sense it's of course making the job harder for him, since no male can sing that high completely effortlessly, but definitelly he has this notes in his range and he knows how to sing them, he has the best control over his voice registers out of all male Starkids. You might not be used to his style, because he's not a classical singer and he would probably butcher the characters such as Val'Jean. He sings rock for the most part and in this type of music, his sound fits really well.
