@@mypanexogamouslineage965 Romanian is a Romance language with some influences, mainly being slavic... Romanians understand about 50 to 80% of any other latin language and almost nothing from a slavic language or from hungarian, except maybe some words or expresions. In fact, linguists have stated that if you take out the influences (mostly slavic) from Romanian, you end up with a sort of typical south Italian dialect. What the hungarians and ukrainians actually try to say, is that they recognize in Romanian some specific words, which are actually loan words from slavic or hungarian, do to neighboring and such... but they can not understand the language as a whole, not even 20%! People often say Romanian is a Latin language spoken with slavic accent...

Now if you actually try to argue that Dacian is proto-Latin, that is another debate in itself...

As far as hospitality goes i highly doubt that Greeks are the most hospitable nowadays. Previous generations of Greeks (currently 70+ y/o) were super hospitable for sure but not those who are younger and definitely no one who has been raised in Athens (which is practically half our population) or in major cities. Idk how hospitable the rest of the Balkans are tbh but the Greek stereotype of being very hospitable and friendly is not the case anymore.

This is very, very evident on the beaches of Greece when you can tell men are just attracted to our women.
