A friend of mine just bought a baby male. I haven't met him yet. He wants to get him settled in and eating before he shows him off. He said he has a Mellow personality. I told him to make friends with him while he's small. Nobody wants a huge snake with an attitude. I have a baby Boa that is a sweetheart.
Awesome video! I'll never keep an anaconda but they are such an amazing species and it's interesting to learn about their captive care. Keep up the great work.
Oh yeah…definitely plan on putting in time working with your snakes. It’s worth it when time has passed and your snakes trust you.
THANK YOU for this video :D Im keeping yellows and they sound very similar :D Its just great to actually see some educational and real talk videoes about these snakes :D
Thank you for watching! Hope your yellow is doing well
@@Ben_CincySnakes thank you for asking 😍
Yes they are both doing very nice 😍 I have Anne-Mette on my picture there and then another female I call Esther-Marie. They are both around 2 years old and I suspect they are from the same breeder even though I bought them from 2 private people. There are not many people breeding these snakes in my country 🤔
I LOVE them though. Very lovely girls even though Anne took a whole year to quiet down. Esther is very nice as well but she has her days. 😅 Extremely intelligent animals. I keep 2 yellows, 4 boas, 2 rainbow boas, 3 ball pythons, 1 California King and 4 Mexican kings. The yellows clearly take the lead in IQ.
poptart 🤘 I love the greens definitely a dream snake
That is a gorgeous animal whow
Dude it’s actually funny that you mention the water totally different but with my Burmese pythons I’ve tried filtered tapwater it might just be where I live but I noticed after like three days there was a white film on it the top and I wash my dishes consistently I immediately went back to springwater I change the water every 2 to 3 days wash the bowl or swap them because I have two bowls for each I haven’t had that issue cents
Awesome stuff sir. Decided to part with any boas yet? Also I saw John has some dumerils up for sale.
Thank you for this video. I am thinking about getting one.
They can be worth it
Muy vien
Hi Ben just wondering which watt radiant heat panel do you run in your 8ft enclosure I built mine based on yours from your video and i believe my male is ready to go in it now hes about to be 2 years old. So I just need to know what to run heating wise. I live in New England. Thanks in advance brotha you rock!!!💯🐍💚💪😎🤘
Happy hearing your snake is growing nicely ! I use a 120 watt het panel and it covers almost the whole 4 foot side and heats up really nice
@Ben_CincySnakes Perfect!!! Thanks again man i appreciate you💯💙💪😎🤘
Im going to take a wild guess and assume its either chlorine/flouride causing this scale issue since they have a lower tolerance for them than we do due to their smaller size. My yellow anconda spends a lot of time in his water tub and he never has these problems since I use spring/well water.
I think so as well . When they get older it doesn’t really happen
Do you have plans when you have 3 anacondas that get 15-18feet long?!?! I can’t wait to see these beautiful green anas get to full size? I’ve always been a fan of anacondas! Another great video!
It will get interesting 😂
So I noticed your enclosures are similar to mine. I’m having trouble getting a good heat without trapping to much of it making it to hot. Any Suggestions
On most of my pvc cages I don’t run extra heat just have the room at 80-85 degrees
@@Ben_CincySnakes yeah mine stays at about a 70
Anacondas are cool Snakes but I'm going to stick to Corn Snakes and other Colubrids
