- Today I Put Turtle Wax Graphene Flex wax Against Autoglym Rapid Ceramic spray Detailer to see Which is Best? Graphene or Ceramic? Lets Find Out...
In previous videos i have tested and reviewed Turtle wax Ceramic spray coating, the graphene flex wax and their special (to the max Wax) but can Autoglym take back some of the detailing market with their new Rapid ceramic Detailer spray?

Thank you Dave. I'm truly overwhelmed by the kindness you have shown me. Big thanks and the best of health to the other subscribers who have wished me well. Take care all 😁
Each and every viewer is behind you. The detailing community can be a lovely a group of people sometimes and hopefully this proves it 🙏
Wishing you all the best 👍🏼
Wishing you a speedy recovery too.
Get well soon mate, we're all behind you.
And Dave, you're a top man for showing such kindness 😇
Wishing you a speedy recovery and get well soon 🙏🙏🤞🤞
Thanks for the review, we have an update for any Professional users out there looking to add this sort of product to their menu. We have a new Autoglym Professional product called Instant Ceramic Coating in 5L size that is applied in the same way. At a recommended 2-3 sprays per panel, each 5L is enough for around 200 cars if you aren't too trigger happy. This add on service will boost gloss, colour depth, reduce drying time and lasts up to 3 months making it ideal for those who have a quarterly visit. (Hope this is ok to post Dave!)
Thanks Guys. Please add as much content as possible to the comments. Lots of people are taking notice 👌
Autoglym is the best,hands down
I dont mind trialling it 😬
Love both products
@@neilrobinson5115 Agreed. I'm an Autoglym loyalist. I love arriving at my car in the morning and seeing little jewels of beaded water, all over the car, from the nights dew. Their new lifetime ceramic coating has also peaked my interest, and will probably what I get once the current one fades.
Always good videos Dave, helpful and to the point quickly
Wish you a fast recovery Martin, get well soon! Great content Dave, as always! 🔥
Thanks mate
Thanks for your videos mate. I'm a mobile smart repairer and I sometimes like to give the cars a quick wash after if the customer has access to water nearby. I have learned loads from you and the products you show here. Keep it up 👍
Ease of application means more than some folks realize. I really hate having to go over a panel several times to get rid of streaks. I don't have a garage and I need to get it done in the shortest amount of time before the sun gets too hot. Thanks for the great video.
Thanks mate. With this bad weather we are getting in the UK it's more important to get a quick and easy finish so Autoglym nailed it for me
Clear, concise and very logical when you are talking the time factor Dave to apply and get the results. I thought yum ceramic was quick and easy but the autoglym looks even quicker. Shame they are playing catch up but I'm sure as time goes on if they are determined enough they will get there, great comparison and hope Martin you recover soon, best wishes to you both!
Thanks Phil. Nobody ever really judges of time of application so thought I'd back off from the geeky science and focus on how it benefits the user 💪
Thanks Phil. I appreciate your kind words.
Speedy recovery Martin, well done Epic car show! 👏👏👏👏
Thank You John
Have a speedy recovery Martin, all the best ,what a lovely gesture off good will from all at epic 👍,nice work all round.

Thank you Mark G. Yes it was a lovely gesture from Dave. He's truly one of life's good guys 😁
Hi Dave, great review of these ceramic detailers,I was waiting for the results,I never thought it would be Auto Glym, that's next on my list.have a speedy recovery Martin.
Thanks Steve, sure Martin will see these messages. The detailing community will be back on good form 🙏
Thanks Steven 👍
Absolutely love this channel, mainly for the obvious desire to get your cars looking gorgeous. I wasn’t sure if you’d ever covered microfibre cloths but if not, I’m looking for recommendations. Many thanks in advance.
Thank you yes I have a dedicated video on my cloths that I use 👌
Another great video Dave. The thing I like about the AutoGlym range is ease of use. I’m only looking to keep my car as well protected as I can whilst looking good. I’m not a professional. Keen to try this 👍🏻
Martin - hope you’re on the road to recovery 👊🏼
Thanks Kevin yes autoglym wins hands down in that case. In all honesty as long as you spray it after every wash it will last ages
Nice touch reaching out to one of your subs’. Well done
Thank you 🙏
Great video as always the thing is two old skool products competing in modern age it's amazing to see these products still competing with so many on the market and so much competition and they still amazing products to use hope Martin recovers well and gets back on his feet as soon as he can
Thanks Mate appreciate the kind words
Great video again, and I like the way you keep them nice and compact while thoroughly explaining everything, instead of spending 45 minutes waffling and showing us the entire clean, which is completely pointless.
I like most Autoglym products for their ease of use and speed. When you're getting on a bit like me and tire a lot quicker, it's mega important. However, I did get a 3-bottle kit of Turtle Wax's Jet Black products at a good price a couple of years ago and was really impressed with the way it enhanced the paintwork on my metallic black car. so I recently found a ridiculously cheap deal of all 3 graphene products for an all-in price of £22 recently so I bought those. I've only tried the detailer so far, but I found it so much harder to use that I would drop it a good 2-3 points compared to the Autoglym product. That said, it does seem to give a better, "blacker" finish on my particular car so maybe it's better suited to darker colours. Love the Autoglym though and although the shine isn't quite as good (may I'm using too much), it's much easier to use and that wins it for me.
Brilliant stuff mate. I'm off to get this, this morning along with the Autoglym Super Resin to give my S550 5.0L GT a much needed once over. Thank you.
When it comes to the ceramic craze, i tend to favor those who are late to the party.
To me that indicates they have taken their time to develop a product they can stand behind. Defo Autoglym for me.
Very smart point I'm with you 100% on that
Keep fighting and keep positive Martin, in my thoughts and prayers buddy 🙏

Used the Autoglym for the first time this weekend on our Nevada blue Audi Q3 and as you say so easy to apply and although it didn’t get the curing time due to the inclement Welsh weather it performed very well,Very impressed with the beading
Hope you’re Mate makes a full recovery seen so many family members go through the same x
Just keep using it as a top up. This weather is awful at the moment 😬. Martin is a subscriber who reached out to me in a comment and his story meant so much to me

Great review,I’ve just got a bottle of autoglym ceramic spray, all I can say is Brilliant, easy to apply and buff up,water beading is great too,and great shine.
Very best wishes for a speedy recovery Martin. Dave, would a quick wipe with a damp microfibre help with removal and streaking of the Turtle wax?
Thanks mate. Yeah a wipe down with damp cloth and dry after is the only way but it is a bit of a faff
Very best wishes Martin hope you will soon be in a much better place.
Dave, whats the Autoglym gloss levels like? I have used their Polar Seal over the winter its worth considering a review if you have not used it (sealant that protects the entire car via a lance, easy on and jet wash off with solid results).
Hello Tim. In terms of gloss I don't have a gloss meter but technically I don't think any human needs one. The product is just a very good finishing spray / quick Detailer that nailed it in terms of application, lack of streaks and water tests. Definitely a firm favourite
@@epicautomotivedetailing Excellent, thanks. Your video convinced me that this will replace my good but not enjoyable to use TW hybrid solutions ceramic spray. My plan is to try this over some BH double speed wax through the winter months hopefully this will be compatible - cheers.
Lovely gesture, all the best Martin 👍
Cheers Kevin 😁👍
Thanks Kevin

I find myself going back to Autoglym.... they just work.👍
Yes mate they are the Great a digging you out of a situation lol
Your a good man wishing one of your subscribers well. you got a new one now! 😀
Thanks very much 🙏
Great video Dave. I haven't got either product but I've seen lots of reviews on the flex wax and I thought the instructions when its applied dry is to spray onto an applicator and wipe onto the panel and buff off. Maybe it wouldn't be streaky and easier to apply if was done like this?
It's hit and miss but the end result is amazing. Totally down to what makes your life easier
When I applied it as a base coat( truck dry) it went on ok..when I applied it on as a dry aide, it was easier and produced a great deep gloss to f a shine to my black tacoma. It rained a few days afterwards, drove it for a week, just rinsed it off and all the road grime was gone, super hydrophobic and water sheeting results. Thumbs up for me!
Can’t wait for this comparison…..is like you read my mind of what I’d like to see up against each other lol
Special powers my friend 😃
Great review there Dave.
Thanks mate
Loving the pan the organiser sulute! Get well soon Martin.
Oh no if pan does it I won't do it. Never realised 😬. Thanks for wishing Martin a speedy recovery
Thanks for your kind words Paul
Just to echo all on here, best wishes to Martin and big live to his family as they are affected massively. Another great video Dave. Id like to see the winner from this againt Yum.
Hi Andy thank you for sharing kind words to Martin. As for yum comparison I think I would get way too much stick for it. Simply because they are my personal favourite brand so it wouldn't be worth the agro if I made it without coming across like pan the organizer. But thank you for suggesting anyways. PS sorry for late replies
Brilliant as always 👊🏻
Thanks Colin
I've been using flex wax for a couple months now and I do love it. The problem with it though is that it attracts an enormous amount of dust. But that's easy to just spray off
Thanks - Can I use the ceramic spray ontop over the super resin polish? Or is this not going to benefit me? Thanks.
Hope Chappy makes a full recovery and is out using that box of goodies in no time 👌👍👍

Thank you. I have just ordered this after your review. Let's see how it works over Double speed wax.
Thanks Paul. Its a lovely product to work with as a top up
I've been using Turtle Wax Seal and Shine up to recently and really enjoyed using it. Applying it with a damp cloth to a not quite dry car resulted in a great finish. Recently got a bottle of their ceramic sealant and was really disappointed with all the streaking. Instructions advise applying to a dry car as opposed to wet or dry for SnS. Just got a tub of their graphene infused paste wax, and while it does take longer to apply, there is not nearly as much streaking.
These videos are great i just discovered this channel. I've moved house and found a bag of my old auto glym products. I love their products last week I bought the ceramic spray, but after rediscovering my old products.
I'm not sure of the difference between EPG, Ceramic spray and rapid detailer
Thanks very much. Some ceramic sprays can last bit longer than quick detailers so now they add sio2 into them to give them a boost. I always finish a clean on cars with a ceramic spray unless it's a weekly maintenance clean
I’ve tried a few different ceramic spray sealants but settled Garage Therapy. Easy to use and great performance. Three CS and Sigma is a great system. 👍
Nice one stick with what works for you 👍
Would either of these be good enough for alloy wheel protection, or would you recommend something else?
Great review thanks, I was wondering if anyone can recommend a, way of preventing build up of dust /sandy stuff on the body work? It's driving me mad since I clean it and within a day or 2 it's covered inthe stuff. Cheers
Great video as always. 100% right Dave, the Autoglym is definitely the better buy. One thing you never want especially when working as a valeter or detailer is a product that is fussy to use. Would you say Autoglym is easier than Sonax BSD? Keep up the good work.
That's such a good question. Both are so easy to use.
Sonax for the win for me then as I'm a tight arse 😂 and it's half the price of Autoglym.
Dave you need to try AM Hybrid Sealant and Detailer too, i think you'll have some fun, and be impressed, i've started using the Detailer as a drying aid too, saving time on finishing the exterior. 😁 Still to test Infinity Wax's Graphene QDX too.
Nice one, hopefully I'll get next batch of videos done then I may try it
no way would i pay £30 for a wax especially if it's a pain in the arse with streaking, i found the same with their hydrophobic sealant on my black car, went back to fusso coat and sticking with it
Stick with what works 👌
What is the best protection for the body side molding keeping it looking great?
Thank you,
Steve.
Best in terms of durability? So many factors. I liked Autoglym for a monthly or bi monthly application
smashing the videos!
Thanks mate
I been using turtle wax ice and it's been amazing ,great shine and luster that people always compliment . The rain beads right of and with a wipe the coat and slick look of my paint is showroom. Recently been using different techniques like one rag for application rubbing deep into the paint until I see the shine then using a double rag to dry wipe and it really comes out looking like new ,my truck is going on 9 years old .
Graphene paste wax definitely my favourite
Graphene paste wax definitely my favourite
Hi mate ive got a white Q5 that seems to hve dirt speckles in the paint.Which Autogylm product is best to use BEFORE the ceramic stuff?

@@epicautomotivedetailing Thanks for your reply. I will watch both of the videos. Have a good weekend.
I'm using away at the Autoglym, doing a great job, the smell also is class.
Yeah I agree it's awesome
I recently got the Turtle wax graphene to try and whilst the gloss and water beading is exceptional i find it difficult to work with, smears rather then wipes clean and also continuously clogs triggers. Back to Reload for me.
Thank you to everyone who wished fellow subscriber Martin a speedy recovery. Let's support eachother in the community 🙏❤️
yet again David you go the extra mile by being a decent bloke, cheers Paul
this is the thing i find with packaging auto glym i like because its simple colour coding on a white bottle so at a glance you know what your picking up to use and the trigger can works unlike products like auto finnesse where you need to transfer it into a triggerspray that works comfortable and dont need a magnyfying glass to determine what the product is keep it simple
Yeah i agree its very simple and for people like us who understand how good it is then it works. Think the younger generation of detailers need to give it a crack
@@epicautomotivedetailing i know attraction is the secret but i feel we are paying for packaging just as much the product a nation of diy car cleaner cleptos because it smells nice or packaging more than if the product works
@@russellpetrie119 yeah man love that point 👏
Im so looking forward to this.
Thanks Alan
I want to smarten my exterior and interior but I’m on a small budget and don’t know what I’m doing or what to get is there any think you would suggest
Interesting comparisson. I use the turtlewax as a drying aid which makes life a lot easier as there is zero streaking and I feel like it acts as a top-up of what's already there.
Interesting. I do it in reverse, i use Turtle Wax Seal N Shine as my base, and the Autoglym Rapid Ceramic Spray as a drying agent. The new Turtle Wax Seal N Shine improved formula is just so easy to put down, can do my whole car in 10 minutes, with fantastic results, the Autoglym just adds to it. So far has lasted 6 months in harsh weather with no signs of losing it's water beading and run off properties. We are spoiled in this day and age and i don't think people realize how lucky they are.
I used the turtle wax for the first time at the weekend. I used it on my mica black MX-5 . I wasn't overly impressed with it when I applied it . To be fair to turtle wax I probably used to much product . However when I went out to the car in the morning the car was absolutely gleaming and I changed my mind to being impressed . The car has an IGL ceramic coating on it so I'll be using this as a maintenance product
Yeah it takes few attempts to work out best method to get it right but it does perform really well
Oh I am going to try Autoglym :) i just bought Ultra Cut Compound (meguiars) do get rid of some scratches
nice one its great
If the manufacturers of these products (regardless of brand but especially the big brands ) were to do samples , then you could easily try and obviously buy the full size if it's to your liking
That was great mate and yes i total agree autoglym so so quick and easy to apply, but also i found that it lasts a lot long protecting, so definitely better value, just to let you know we got my wife’s results back last week and found the cancer has spread, so we are having to isolate again before she goes back into hospital for more surgery and radiotherapy, so feeling pretty crap, but I’m keeping positive for her and our girls 🙏👍
Andrew Im so sorry to hear this! My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time! Hope she makes a fast recovery mate
I’ll keep you and your wife in my prayers. I pray all is well.
I may be wrong, but I think Autoglym have the edge on customer recognition.
If you are using Autoglym products, the customer is usually familiar with the brand, and knows of its quality.
Given the choice, I would reach for the Autoglym product.
Great video BTW
Your right about recognition, but the newer generation are easily distracted by flashy packaging and for Autoglym to bring out a new product with a very light brown label it just didn't catch my attention to make me think (ooh that's new lol) cheers for watching Kevin 🙏😁
@@epicautomotivedetailing I fully understand your point about brand recognition, but if your are going to change your whole world wide recognized branding for a generation that have the attention span of an Argentinian Ant, then your are going to end up in the complete toilet. The modern generation change their favourite polo brand between leaving home and arriving at work if they see a flashy Billboard. Aotoglym did not get a royal warrant for nothing, there are plenty out there who would love one. The generation of which we speak don't find brand loyalty well into their 30,s now, don't go throwing years of building up brand recognition and loyalty to grab their attention for 5 minutes. Just my thoughts, love your work.
Thanks for a very useful video. On one point I have a different view, the packaging for Autoglym is more restrained, perhaps being aimed at older customers. Whilst, the gofaster look of the Turtlewax bottle, is aimed at younger customers.
A question sir autoglum rapid aqua wax does it last for 4 6 weeks? Or not? How often do you recommended to be applied? 2 times per months?
Playing catch tonight on videos. Great presentation mate, you should be telly 😁. Your spot again, i like turtle wax hybrid range but can be effort in applying so have to be the mood to grab that. Autoglym will be a future trier for me. Best wishes to fellow warrior Martin. 😀

Firstly get well soon Martin.
Another great vid, but still think all these ceramic spray waxes are much of a much. Being old school, still think you can't beat a good quality liquid wax, yes I know it takes longer, but think you get better depth of shine and it lasts longer
I hear ya, I like a liquid wax too
So if I used autoglym ceramic coating then the HD wax on top and use the ceramic spry as a top up be the best way useing autoglym. Iv used turtle wax hybrid solutions in the past
Yes top up is totally fine my friend

Can you advise
if you use ceramic coating make sure you compound and decon the car first

I’ve had no issues with streaking with the turtle wax, light spray direct to the panel and buff with a soft microfibre. My best wishes to Martin and family, my wife is a Macmillan nurse so I know you are having a tough time at the moment but try to stay positive.
Hi Dan, Thank you for your kind words and God bless your wife and all the other wonderful Macmillan nurses.

@@epicautomotivedetailing It is a pleasant change to see people support each other, as you have stated there is so much negativity on Detailing forums and it needs to stop. We all may love cars and detailing but you just don’t know what is happening in people’s lives and how this bullying behaviour affects them.
@@danlegge2742 yeah I want to try fix the problem or at least make it better by doing something positive
Have not used Autoglym as it appears to be quality products throughout.
I however have been using the TW FLEX especially as an occasional topper to the TW MAX Wax. The FLEX needs an initial wipe (per directions) with a damp towel followed by a buff with favorite fluffy. Some have made an issue of the extra step...for me the astounding results render it moot. The damp towel (for me) has constantly knocked down high points and streaking...light application of spray is essential!!
Points made and taken about time and effort on the car flip/professional level - point taken. As a driveway detailer primarily doing my own rides - appearance is the end game. Ten extra minutes don't matter as long as I get the "dayamn!" look.
All good! Give it a try! I dig the British detail channels - watching from across the pond!
I use the turtle wax graphene, haven’t had any streaks, I spray 2 sprays onto my applicator per panel, in up down left right cross and then buff it off after, gleaming!
Yeah not every car has suffered from streaks, things like temperature and paint quality can play huge part.
@@epicautomotivedetailing yeah bro! Love your vids, keep smashing them out
@@darylharvey3869 thanks mate they getting better every time hopefully
I've not had any streaking issues with the FLEX Wax spray. I use a square dampened microfiber applicator and spray directly onto the applicator and apply in a cross-hatch pattern - a little goes a long way. As per directions I follow up with a dampened buff cloth followed up with my favorite fluffy. Terrific gloss! I hope this may be helpful...
nice shout out :)
I haven't heard good things about the turtle wax flex wax durability, most people I've spoken to are saying a few months at best for the flex wax, that and the price, and yet again streaking issues. The better product for my money, seems to be the graphene paste wax.
I really don't like the AG spray bottles at all. there are some good products, but the sprayers tend to leak, and leak some more, and they aren't comfortable to hold if your spraying a lot. Right now, looking at halfords shelves, I'd be more inclined to go with meguiars ceramic wet wax and detailer over anything else right now.
I've got the paste wax which is great for gloss
Bottles/spray top of autoglym are restrictive as so small in hand and are flimsy
So Dave, would you say the AutoGlym is more like the GT Two Sigma than the Three CS? More of a lightweight, ceramic infused detail spray than a full on sprayable ceramic coating?
Lightweight yes. This is a quick and easy way to protect your car. Still incredible
