- Check out this video Stairwell Pressurization System Design Calculations, where I break down how to design a Stairwell Pressurization System using Excel Sheet. The goal of this system is to stop smoke and hazardous gases from getting into the stairs through doors. We achieve this by pumping fresh air into the stairwell. Why? Well, it's all about maintaining high pressure in the stairwell, especially during a smoke and fire. This ensures a safe way out for people in the building and helps firefighters get in. Whether you're a seasoned engineer or a curious learner, this video will provide valuable insights into the design process. Watch now to enhance your understanding of stairwell pressurization systems!

Very nice sir… very helpful video
Welcome
You are helping a lot to Mep engineers
Thank you
Thank you for sharing very valuable information.
Kindly make a video on Atrium Smoke Management System with different scenarios
Welcome
Make videos on Space Planning, Specifications, HVAC system Selection etc
Ok noted
@tanweer ahmad thanks for informative vidie.Dear sir, also make one video on lift well and lift lobby pressurization
Ok noted
Ma Sha Allah, Very informative and detailed video. God Bless you,
JazakaAllah and thanks
Hi Sir It is a really valuable topic for MEP engineers.Thank you very much
Welcome
Thanks
Welcome
Always appreciated, very informative video showing your Hard work. Thank you so much
Thank you
DEAR Tanweer Ahmed good work keep it
Thank you
Hi Sir, Can you please explain on below also,
1. How much is the differential pressure setting in the fan pressure switch. What will happen if the differential pressure increases or decreases.
2. Is there any insulation or coating or painting on the ducts.
3. What is the Smacna standard for these ducts.(Duct guage etc).
4. Is this a fire rated duct.
5. In which case we use centrifugal fan and in which case we use for axial flow fans for pressurisation systems.
Thank you Sir. Please.
Ok noted, I will prepare video on these queries
@@TanweerAhmed Thank you so much Sir.
Water supply downtake from oht to flat pipe diameter calculation and which bar pressure restrictions for domestic and Flushing please make video on urgent basis 🙏
Ok noted
Hi Sir, Very nice video.
Could you please tell
1. The velocity to be considered while designing stair case duct.
2. Can you please explain the calculations for liftwell and lift lobby also. What will be the difference while designing lift well and lift lobby pressurisation fans.
3. Also if possible can you please explain one design of stair case duct and its esp calculations for fan selection.
Thank you so much Sir.
Ok noted, reply in next video
@@TanweerAhmed Thank you so much Sir.
very nice tnaveer sahab
JazakaAllah, and thanks
Great video sir.
In this video it is shown the parallel and series condition for staircase doors but we mostly use single door in staircase. So it will be considered series or parallel?
Watch my other videos on same topic for this issue
Very well explained. Is this excel sheet available for viewers?
Excel sheet link is attached in this video's description for free download by anyone
For grill and fd size refer to old video. Missing like an effective area
Lift Well has one outlet therefore grill size shall be according to duct plus safety factor of pressure drop.
Affective area of open door has been calculated in this video's example-3
@@TanweerAhmedthank you
@@TanweerAhmed. In this staircase pressurisation, we have a grill with a damper at 5 floors. I saw your old video grill size. You have considered a grill free area
Can you do a water mist system design for Archives or Library
I have not yet design this system
Please make daily video 📷📸 please please ❤❤❤🎉
Thanks for your interest in my video but it is not possible to upload daily video.
Very informative.... but when less then 3 doors open ... then in this case .. what Vmax we can take ???
Airflow velocity of not greater than 200fpm through doors open as per design. If you consider 2 doors or one door in design of one floor.
I have inform in video velocity 200fpm at 3 doors because in example have 3 doors in one floor.
48x8x17ft is the dimension of staircase lobby or the whole floor ?
Staircase lobby area of only one floor. Also written in question of this example
Sir lift lobby calculation kaise nikalte hai
In this video, lobby is included
Hi Sir,
So 48x28x17 ft is the area of staircase lobby or the whole floor area ?
8 sq ft of grill area is the effective air flow area or overall grill size?
Exhaust/relief air of 9973cfm is for 5 floors combined or per floor ?
if per floor then exhaust grilles should be sized for (9973/5) cfm ?
Thanks
1. 48x28x17 is the area of staircase lobby of single floor
2. 8 sq.ft is grill area of single floor
3. Relief air damper to be used single for all floor, this 9973cfm flow is for this.
hi dear for lobby pressurization calculation do u have can u make a video on that with excel file
