Tteokgalbi is a delicious Korean dish made from beef ribs where the meat is minced and pounded on the bone, then marinated in a sweet, salty, and savory sauce, and then grilled or barbecued over charcoal. I've cooked this 4-5 times now. The sauce is so tasty and succulent. I actually substituted with chicken a couple of times and it was great. It has become a favorite in our household. Maangchi, you are amazing and you need to open a restaurant, hopefully near me.

Chicken is my favourite but to get as close to beef as possible one should mutton . This recipe would best be made with some sort of red meat .
