I think Bucktooth Burl didn't have the traction it needed to move around in the arena.
That's why this fight didn't get featured on the show.
Remember that one part in Spongebob where Squidward watches two boxes boxing? That was kinda like this, right?

No, and I partially blame bad pilots.
When there is a lot of wind moving around that arena from spinning weapons I imagine it's not easy to control. But no they aren't that effective. If one could pull off setting alite some spewing fuel from a robot (like what warhead did to complete control) it would be cool but... But that's a long shot for sure

There was a drone with a flamethrower. Such a drone could be effective in the hands of a good pilot. If you can manage to grab your opponent and hold him still your drone could flame him slowly. This could do some great damage but it has to be done right.
The biggest advantage of drones is what surprise that they are flying and are unreachable. They could also fight your opponents drones.

Drones are allowed because they're bots, too. But so far, all drones have failed to accomplish anything, unfortunately. It's almost like whomever is piloting those can't tell their ass from their elbow. smh
+Senam Lawson lol seriously... i actually fly drones for a living. i do aerial photography with DJI Phantoms and these guys seem to panic or some shit the moment the light turns green... like really? i have to fly between trees and hallways sometimes. these guys need to ditch the drones for small ground bots instead...
Senam Lawson Nah, its because of three reasons, IMHO.
Drones aren't allowed to be autonomous nor can they take orders from a computer at the base station. It has to be manual control only.
So what that means is that your dji whatever with auto leveling whatever is child's play to fly vs this.
Its hard to pilot a drone when you have the massive weight of weapons hanging off. Let go of the throttle, plunk. it falls and breaks.
Dealing with that , is hard.
Also, the battlebox has lots of ventilation. Its full of air currents. Hard to fly when your drone is also being blown everywhere.
So the way they came up with ChromeFly is,lets make Counter Revolution 2.0,only make it a horizontal spinner with Styrofoam blades and lego motors with teal plastic and fencing for armor.Oh yeah,don't forget the flying dead weight!

Booing is lame tbh. People want to make robots, sometimes they don't work or the builders just aren't as experienced or good at it. The crowd should get in there and make their own bot seeing as they seem to know everything about how to make them. Oh wait they don't?
lol chromefly won a match somehow. That was the most succesful drone attack I've seen too ( it got in a some kind of strike).
I'm still trying to work out what that device is...magnetic attachment? Half the bots don't have steel on top anyway ;p
I am trying ti figure out how either bot could have won.... Clearly the winner was the silence of not having to listen to chris and kenny blabber on.
Man... If your bot breaks from just driving around, you should definitely overthink the design...
REALLY?!?!?! Chrome Fly was just a big helpless target after Bucktooth SHREDDED it.
Sure, its weapon died too, but it didn't get put in to a shredder and spit out like Chrome Fly's weapon did.
Not to mention the drone was destroyed too.
Bucks weapon never turned on. CF was just that weak
so if it was damaged from the begenning then it wasnt from the fight so no damage was done on him at all
It couldn't drive straight after the hit, whereas it could before.

chrome fly's spinner blade broke on the first exchange the drone died and crashed I'm not sure what Bucktooth did.

I propose a new rule. If the main spinners of both bots are inactive, call a time out until the spinners are back in action.

Also, I should have said "main weapon." I think it should go for all bots of all types. If their active weapons are down, time out.

Biteforce was basically weaponless and its whole strategy was to stop the blade from spinning.
If that rule was in place it would of been pretty.. Unfair.
tombstone has a separate motor for the spinner.

Burl didn't even have it running. It flipped a couple times and stopped long before the hit.

crome fly breaks when its weapon touches someone. Worst design ever.
It's just lack of engineering. The design itself could be quite powerful if they didn't rely on just the motor to hold the blades ;p

Has to be the most embarrassing win, 1 blade broke on first impact, 2nd blade stopped working after second impact, drone just fell out of the sky for no reason

Chromfly has an enormous design flaw. Weapon and motor on the same shaft. I doubt they even tested it on anything.
I've heard of fairyweights doing that because they literally do not have enough weight limit to work with and have to make cuts like that to qualify, but the idea of doing that for a 250 lb bot... it's hurting my head. What were they thinking.

I personally would have eliminated both. Only one hit and both their bots were reduced to glorified pushers. And what happened to ChromeFly's drone? It looked like it just fell apart in midair.

how did it get past prefight test or it only lasted that long. What would happen if a bot was not ready to fight due to mechanical issue?
why is it that RC car batterys are huge and take forever to charge compared to smartphone batterys? which charge quick ajd are compact
The producers must have told each team to build the worst performing bots you can, maybe something like a 6 yr old would build.
Just one more qualifying fight left: Warrior Clan VS Splatter. I think because how Chrome Fly performed in that battle, Bronco took advantage by putting a solid wedge on the rear of the robot.

Okay...what even is this match?? It's mostly two robots lightly tapping each other for 90% of the match. And the only major hits we saw we in the beginning, and it broke Chromefly's weapons, and I believe it also disabled Bucktooth Burl's weapon, and it lost drive on one side. Then, Chromefly lost drive somewhere, and at that point, the whole match went to shit. Chromefly's weapons are big disappointments. One hit, they fly off. I think Chromefly's crew should've thought more about how their weapon was attached.
The only flying drone robot that is okay is the one that has a flamethrower

Anyone else think this show would be way better with more robot fighting and less behind the scenes, get to know the driver crap?

Chromefly's design with the double spinners was a pretty cool idea, just VERY poorly executed. If it was built better, Chromefly could possibly be pretty cool.

they rly have to get a better strategy for the drones like grenade cage or idk a ballon filled with oil or sticky slime, im not even part of this and i can think of way more ideas than have been used by the drones

Wow these bots suck! Seriously not a single one even remotely works for the full fight they always break in like 1 minute and then just push was each other the rest of the time!
Why do some teams have 2 bots?
Better chance at the championship. Team Whyachi ran three bots in 2019 and 2020.
Falcon, Son Of Whyachi and Hydra in 2019. Son Of Whyachi, Hydra and Fusion in 2020.
After seeing this, I'm not sure why they gave Chrome Fly the win.
Because at least its weapons actually activated... it was a decision between shitty and shittier bot.
I take it back, Bucktooth's weapons activated... for all of approximately three revolutions of the drum.

Yeah, as crappy as Beaverbot was, it was still mostly intact aside from it's one wheel being screwed up and it's weapon being out of commision. By comparison, chromefly lost both it's weapons (completely in one case) and it's drone fell out of the sky.

There's really nothing to say. Maybe Chris would start jumping up and down when Chrome Fly's bar flew off, but the rest of the match might as well be dead air.
Well, that was boring. One of the matches where the intro is way more entertaining than the next 3 minutes.
Chromefly would make a better ceiling fan than a battlebot, and Bucktooth Burl's driver could use some driving lessons. The drone for Chromefly was about the most useful drone yet, however. I'm gonna assume it's like a magnet that's supposed to ensnare some weapons or something upon the bot it gets dropped on, which is sorta against the rules, ain't it?
The judges should have ruled that neither bot moved on, they were both pathetic excuses for Battlebots

I will say that first hit was vicious but at the same time Bucktooth burls spinner was not spinning but it caused Chrome flys spinner came off because of Bucktooth Burl and nothing else happened so I think this fight should’ve gone to Bucktooth burl
