It really is that simple. 88% means the battery’s capacity is only 12% less than when it was new. That means if your battery lasted 10 hours when it was brand new it will last just a little less than 9 hours now. If that’s a big deal for you, then get a new battery. But you really don’t need a new battery. You can keep using your iPhone X with the current battery until you find you are having to plug it in more often than you would like. The battery’s capacity percentage is really irrelevant. Get a new battery when you want a new battery. If that is when it is at 50% capacity, that’s absolutely fine.
I honestly can't wait until this comes out. The fact that it not only holds its own against some of the better laptops out there, but can also slide out the keyboard for a more comfortable hand rest is just amazing to me.
Thinking of the Helios 300 since this is waaay out my budget. I do truly think that they get most everything right in their newest products. Just battery life is needing of some improvement. Never know what we'll see in 2020! Exciting!

i was smiling like a 4 year old on Christmas when i saw you pull down the keyboard and all the flashy effects played. it really pulled on my inner scifi geek, and i'm really surprised no other company thought of slideable keyboard before. Its a fantastic concept and i would love to see that put in a smaller cheaper device so i could actually get my hands on it.

Nice job Acer. I feel like this could be the perfect approach onto building a powerful laptop that need crazy cooling but doesn't necessary sacrifice ergonomic.
Acer just made a choice, the uncomfortable feeling of the vacuum sound when turbo on, in exchange to the crazy performances they've brought in the new whole Helios series 300 to 700, and I consider it an absolute win, as a gamer will just use headphones and care about performance at the end, this is definetly Acer's year.
On the theme of huge laptops, my father told me about his first laptop, a Toshiba T3200. Google it up, or CZcams it. That thing was huge, weighted like, 19lbs, fit 2 desktop sized expansion cards. Being from 1987 and as old as it is right now, it's really awesome to see. I'd love to see something with that design nowadays, fitting a full size video card and maybe also a CPU socket. Doubt it'd sell, but it would be awesome to see.

I work in a library and I hated my new Asus laptop for that. It took them a few months after it came out but the Scar II got updates and now it's quite the way I expected in Balanced mode. Turbo of course is crazy loud and I never use it because of that.

Everyone seems to complain about thick bezels, but I like them. Thick bezels, especially black or at least dark grey ones, help to separate the game you're playing or the video you're watching from your surroundings. They're like a funnel that helps focus your attention onto the screen, which -- at least for me -- improves immersion. And especially for a gaming laptop with a rather small screen compared to a full-fledged battlestation, this can only be beneficial.
Great video, but like few others i want to drop a laptop review request - Lenovo Ideapad L340 Gaming, its in the Dell G3, HP paviilion gaming laptop category, but seems to do a little better atleast on paper.. consider reviewing a budget gaming laptop as a break from high end ones ?
My 2020 MacBook Air literally sounded like this on day 1, doing very basic stuff like downloading large documents. Returned it immediately as I can’t imagine that’s promising a long life span

Acer is just so mind blowing honestly Dave... I had an Acer Aspire 15 for 6 years now..it still works fine.. it's cool
Everyone seems to complain about thick bezels, but I like them. Thick bezels, especially black or at least dark grey ones, help to separate the game you're playing or the video you're watching from your surroundings. They're like a funnel that helps focus your attention onto the screen, which -- at least for me -- improves immersion. And especially for a gaming laptop with a rather small screen compared to a full-fledged battlestation, this can only be beneficial.
Great video, but like few others i want to drop a laptop review request - Lenovo Ideapad L340 Gaming, its in the Dell G3, HP paviilion gaming laptop category, but seems to do a little better atleast on paper.. consider reviewing a budget gaming laptop as a break from high end ones ?

My 2020 MacBook Air literally sounded like this on day 1, doing very basic stuff like downloading large documents. Returned it immediately as I can’t imagine that’s promising a long life span
So we can connect a external Monitor , keyboard and mouse and use as a desktop right
You can do that with any laptop

I have a predator Helios 300 and it's the best laptop I've ever had. I play all my games at Max settings with amazing performance. This Acer lineup is definitely killing it in the laptop world
