I'm 2 years late, but I found one and it's coming in Tuesday. I couldn't find a Predator 21X for sale. Did you ever do a review later? I don't find it.

Yes, but it's high end meaning it will stay up to date for maybe another year or two. When your comment came out though it looks like you were thinking about the PCs announcement rather than its release.

Hello Neowin have a question please is this laptop also good for video editing aside from playing games?
Dude anything at that power is great for video editing. In-fact I might even go on the lines of slightly overpowered. I run video editing on RTX 2060 with Intel core I7 9th gen processor (I would consider this also overpowered). All that is lower than any of the models of the Helios 700. Without question, video editing capability is there.
@@zombwars7749 still doesn't have as much power as the Asus Zephyrus Duo 15 which isn't as heavy... One would think the bigger a PC the more power it should have, but sadly that's not the case.
@@The7thAdam That has nothing to do with the topic. The other problem is that technology changes quickly and the Helios 700 that I referred to isn't even being produced anymore. Plus it was only ever made with 2070 and 2080s. Never was even built with the RTX 30 series. You have absolutely no point which is slightly silly right now cause the comment you replied to was explaining the power required to run video editing software. The thing about the Helios 700 that was special is it stade at 60 to 70 degrees Celsius when gaming which was revolutionary in my opinion. Even now! It's still among the few laptops that could open up to release the heat. Referring to exposing the top intakes for the fans.

Also, I didn't know the Helios 700 wasn't in production anymore. So thanks for that bit of knowledge.
@@The7thAdam ah I got you. I'm sorry in that case for my confrontational comment. I did not realize what you were hinting at. Yeah it's sad that such an awesome device is out of production. Must have been caused by part shortages which made computers that sold less than their Helios 300 not worth the production costs. That computer definitely had a lot of future potential. There are people now making raspberry pie laptops that feature a sliding keyboard so there is still hope for this fantastic technology.

Don't get Amazon's ripoff version. It is not an official sale. Buy direct from Acer even if there is some extra cost doing it. You'll get the key replacements, better memory and processor by buying direct. That is if you haven't bought already. Amazon is having trouble admist COVID-19 with high end products. It's questionable whether they will give you the exact build it was designed to have.

Just bought mine! And I all want to tell you that this beast is sick! Even though the turbo mode fan were loud asf, it's still worth it to use cause it really cools down the laptop. And the gaming performance is epic, for real.
Also, also, this beast is heavy asf that even made me buy a utility backpack, enough for the beast to fit. The battery sucks tbh, it couldn't even last 2 hour so I recommend using it while charging but make it more limited cause it might damage the battery performance. Another thing is, my mom almost beat the shit out of me for buying this beast...I didn't use her credit card-I really didn't.
Gaming laptops are kinda supposed to be plugged in when you game anyway, you get higher fps.
Bro I agree with everything you said because I am also the owner of this baby!.. It maintains 70 celsius during the most demanding games with the keyboard out. This thing stays cooler than your average desktop

@@TheMMOCafe It's great! It's really hard to call the helios 700 a laptop. This thing is so close to being a desktop. It's bulky and heavy so it's not meant to carry it around. My helios works like new even if i had it for 4 months. This thing can run anything at max setting's without much of a hiccup. If you're planning to do some extensive gaming then i will recommend a mechanical keyboard and a big desk to put this thing on when you slide out the keyboard.
