Good Morning JW !! I love my Model 29-10... its easily my favorite handgun, and it goes to the range all the time ! But I'm not embarrassed to admit that I would give it up in a second, to own a vintage 29-2. As long as I live in Cal, it won't be possible, but its a happy Saturday when you bring yours out for show and tell !
You said it if Colt had deviated at all I think so many fans of the original would have walked away from new offerings. Nothing else like pinned and recessed this was Smiths prime time
Magnum Force was definitely the best Dirty Harry Movie followed by The Enforcer. Have you ever considered the Henry Big Boy Revolver with it's retro look? And last but not least, To the Sunny Slopes of Long Ago.
Is the trigger on a series 70 Colt 1911 that much better than a series 80. I have a series 80 and I thinks it's fine but I here so many people say it's not and that the 70 is so much better. Oh....and always nice to see them big revolvers!
