I have only tasted Greek sweets in a restaurant in London and it was mind blowing, one can only imagine how utterly amazing they must taste in the motherland, thank you for taking us on your many adventures and have a great day.
There are many Greeks in London who owns bakeries and restaurants. Try to find those places.
I am so happy that you visited my country... and most of all that you enjoyed everything so much.. Kisses to both of you.. from Greece !! 😘😘
Ross and Bek You are always welcome. .😘😘
Greece's cuisine is indeed absolute heaven. And it's dessert department alone is outrageously good. It's too hard for me to stay out of the bakeries. These couple of deserts in this video are all perfect, but the list is endless.
@@rossandbek2407 Also. I have to say you both are kind and really lovely to watch and see how you consume every dish that you tried in the video. It reflects me on my own experiences in the 30 or so times I have been to Greece now. And every time when Im there again, it's as if I experience the country for the first time. In awe and in love. Keep up the great video's!
Our favorite Greek dessert is galaktoboureko!
Galaktoboureko from "Kosmikon" pastry shop is the best on the planet!
F. Nikol Yesss! Just had it from Kosmikon two months ago on my last visit. Amazing!
F.Nikol and Food and footprints, LOL you have to eat galaktompoureko from Galyfianakis at Thessaloniki. I know people from Athens that come to Thessaloniki just to eat it. Every time I travel to Athens I buy 2-3 kilos for friends in Athens.
@@chrishar110 You can't compare Kosmikon with Galyfianakis. Galyfianakis' galaktoboureko is very sweet and I don't like the odour of his butter. Also I think he is Athenian. Anyways you don't need to go to Thessaloniki to get it cause there are at least four Galyfianakis shops in Athens. Also there are many good galaktoboureka in Athens much better than Galyfianakis like Varsos, Asimakopouli bros, Mastronikolas.
If you ever come again here at Greece, you should try those Triangle shaped pastries, "Τρίγωνο"/"Trigono" is soooo yummy.
I just found your channel and I’m from Australia also. 🙋🏻♀️ so cool, nice to meet you both. I would love to go to Greece, their food looks heavenly 😍🤤
Και όχι μόνο το φαγητό μας,!
I love watching the foreigners eating our sweets you are soo funny I hope you enjoyed them all guys. And honestly Italy and Greece have the best coffees
Next time in Greece, take metro and stop at Agios Eleftherios station. There is Kosmikon pastry shop where you can taste the most famous butterish and crunchy baklava and above all galaktobureko!😍😍
@@rossandbek2407 He is right, trust him! best galaktompoureko in athens
I am happy you enjoyed my country's delights! ❤ kisses from Greece
My mouth literally started salivating when I saw that yoghurt and honey! I'm watching this at 11.30pm and I can feel some midnight munchies coming on!! We're heading to Greece this summer so I'm definitely putting ALL these desserts on our shopping list 😜
@@rossandbek2407 Well, midnight came and I was eating greek yoghurt and honey with pecans! Probably nowhere near the same quality and definitely not made with the same flair and panache but still very yummy!
If an Australian person says that Greek coffee is good, it is _really_ good!
Lukumades definitely the best!!
Is that what you call "drizzle some honey" 😂 The man was piling it on! Haha
@@rossandbek2407 That's a crazy amount of honey! Loved the bloopers guys:)
Eating yogurt and honey in Greece is a dream come true for sure. Need to try that unfiltered coffee. Happy bobs are the best. Haha Oohh that baklava! So many great eats guys.

Oh man Stani is SO good! That sheep milk gives it such a good flavor. Went there twice on the trip.
Couldn’t get enough of those graffiti covered green line trains! A lot like 80’s NYC
Great video guys!!! It's called κανταΐφι- Kantaifi with an extra "n" ;) ! You have to try Phyllo triangle pastries with custard cream filling - Trigona Panoramatos!! By far my favourite especially from Terkenlis patisserie
Will definitely be trying this when we’re in Athens next! 😁

The long with custard is not bougatsa. As it has syrup over is called Galaktoboureko!
ibrik? what is that ? we called greek coffee or turkish coffee !! Briki is the name of the pot that you make the coffee !!
@@rossandbek2407 it called greek(coffee) most of the time we call it greek
Oh that looks yummy!
thank you for the video
Wow those donuts look so good!!
Ross and Bek nice to know! A lot of cinnamon then...

Bougatsa look amazing with that custard
You have to put more of the bloopers 🤣🤣
Hahahhahahah the last one with the drilling noise is our favourite
You should try ekmek kantaifi 👍🏼👌🏼
Can't believe I watched this video now it's time for dessert
that's all I'm thinking
NICE MY FRIEND!!
Yum!
New subscriber 😊
About the pastries in the box you had, This wasn't Bougatsa it was Galaktoboureko( Gala = Milk and Boureki is like a tube while they were used to make it bigger and filled with this Milky cream!) About the sweetness on those desserts, this is not honey but just plain syrup( in some locations aroun Greece, you can find flavored syrup too!) ! ;)
very nice video
Greeks lovin their honey💕🍯
yummm!
Nice video
Greart video my new friend., stay connected
Wow great video💕. Thanks for sharing this and godbless💕 also see ya around as well😇
This is not bougatsa... This is galaktompoureko...
@@rossandbek2407 Actually, bougatsa is the crusty "fylo" of the tyropita on your other video. But when we say "bougatsa" we refer to this fylo filled with milk cream (similar to that in the galaktompoureko), powdered sugar and cinnamon. It is something you DEFINITELY have to try when in Greece!
Like your channel bro
Ur welcome if u have time watched my vlog in Philippine 😊
If these are traditional lukumades, then I must be the tooth fairy with lots of stardust on my head as a topping....and I'm not. These are actually what we use to buy as a cheap choice in fairs when we celebrate the name day of a Saint, usually near churches....😂
I don't know if someone recommended you this crowded store, but since you were in that specific place, just ~500m before that, there's another one in 87 Aeolou St., called Κρίνος (Krinos aka the flower Lily) which serves some of the BEST traditional lukumades downtown. One of the oldest pastry-shops (circa 1920's) and personal favourite. But that's not the only one in town.
So please, if you ever come back again, pay a visit there and in general, try to avoid the so called hot spots as a tourist, unless what matters to you, is the insta-pic/vlog over the experience. Instead, look through the alleys. Athens has so many more for you to discover, but most of them tend to be hidden in those alleys! 😊
Galaktompouriko....best
Very nice video bro but she should drink the freddo cappuccino with a straw 5:30 😀😀😀
Greetings from Greece!
@@rossandbek2407 Yes! Freddo means Cold in italian language. Freddo Cappuccino that Bek had, we used to drink it with a straw so the coffee is lightly flavored by the creamy milk on top! ;)
would love to see more food shots while you talk about the food in the background.
Ross and Bek no problem! The food just looks amazing and I wanna see more FOOD PORN SHOTS! My mouth always salivates
Kantaifi you only forgot the N and the tone at the 1st "i" :) . Oh and btw be carefull inside the trains always have your things infront of you :)
Stani yoghurt! You have terminated us!!!!!😍😍😍
Yoghurt Asia Türk
Yogurt has been made all over the world since 5,000 b.c you doof you invented nothing but Islam
What month did u guys visit?
Freddo!!! So true - this is the local favorite. My cousin introduced it to me back in 2012 and loved it since
Freddo Cappuccino medium sweet with cinammon on top!!
@@rossandbek2407 hope you come back!! :))
it's sugar syrup, boiled down, they put it on most deserts ....the custard log is my favorite
The last pastrie was a galaktomboureko, not a bougatsa
Freddo looked delish ! (i.e. Freddo of a non-frog kind).
Just for the sake of semantics (and to possibly avoid the wrath of Italian viewers) freddo means cold in Italian. There are 2 versions of espresso that have dominated the Greek coffee scene in the past few years: espresso and cappuccino. Freddo espresso and freddo cappuccino are just cold double espresso shot versions of the above.
P.S. We usually drink freddos from a straw :P
Hello from Athens, if you go to the Acropolis Museum they have a resturant, and they make all their food, and you can go to the resturant without going to the museum, we went to the museum though, and my daughter and I shared a realy good Baklava with cinnamon Ice cream, very light and nice. In my chanel, I have photos of the trip, and the Baklava. Very worth it. I have lived in Athens since 1980, My kind of place,, many yummies, yours look good as well, :)
@@rossandbek2407 I pray you do, the waiter told us, we were greatful, I think it goes with the museum to make their own food.
I saw you lost and misunderstood a few dishes. The coffee you called ''ibrik'' is called ''greek'' and it's the traditional coffee. The other pastry you had was ''yalaktobureko'' (from the word ''γάλα'' which is the ''milk'') and not buyatsa. You also use a straw in order to drink the cold coffees like frape and freddo cappuccino! PS: Which area are you coming from Oz? Lived there for half a year!
@@rossandbek2407 No problem and if you visit Greece again ask for some food tips, as I have a degree in Culinary Arts. My auntie's family lived in Lismore, NSW but while I was there we moved to Billambil Heights, NSW which is close to the Gold Coast. Traveled to Melbourne and stayed for a week to see some other relatives and it was awesome. Never been to Adelaide though and I regret it deeply as a wine lover. Promise to visit your city of origin, next time I'll be there. Hope you enjoyed your stay in Greece and there are too many places out of Athens to see and taste! 😀
@@rossandbek2407 Would be great to see you back! 👍💕
Greek coffee made in a 'briki' pot.
@@saharagold Nobody calls it that way!
@@geoforamorio I'm Greek. I do. Ena metrio.
“I’m Bek” 🤣🤣🤣
Food and Footprints that was hilarious
Hello 543 like süper paylaşım 🔔🔔👍👏🌺🖐
The closest thing we have to a dessert right now is a kit kat so that would do for us lol
Ross and Bek yes hahahah
Γειά σου I am Greek yes
