      Andrew's vids are so watchable because he sets the camera in a spot where you can see what he's doing and he moves them around a lot so you don't get bored. You can tell
      that he spends a fair amount of time editing. But the real magic is in Andrew himself. He simply wants to make vids that are interesting and doesn't spend a lot time yammering
      away like he's trying to be a Rock Star. He seems to be very modest and has found the right formula that will probably teach a generation of YT creators how to do it right.
      I do not know Andrew. I make my assertions based on all of the excellent content that he has created and the hours I have spent watching.

      @mrkthmn Před měsícem +3

      One element of it, i think, is that they are more cinematic. Most videos on CZcams are Talk, Talk, Talk! And not only that it's bullshit filler. Talking for the sake of talking and they try to monitize as much of it as possible. Andrews videos seem to focus on the work of the projects with him rarely stopping to talk. This video was 43 minutes and i'd be surprised if there was more than 5 minutes of talking in it. Plus the big thing is the lack of him whoring himself out the whole time which really takes a viewer out of the video mentally/emotionally. Everytime im watching a video and they start schilling I always groan and fast forward but by that point the "mood" of what was happening is broken/gone. So I think a big part of it is the lack of ads and the more cinematic approach rather than the lets talk for 80% of it and I'll show you some clips for the remaining 20%.

    I work in a stamping plant in maintenance. For years when we needed a hose made, and we have literally thousands, it was a lot of downtime heading down the street to the Tractor Supply to have them made, and with the myriad of fittings we require, occasionally they didn't have what we needed. I finally convinced the boss to invest in a hose swager machine. We went with the Parker and Parker hose/fittings. It came with 6 sizes of crimping dies and we bought 6 spools of hydraulic hose. The real investment is in the hundreds of fittings needed. We're undergoing a commonality program to switch every fitting to common size. Eventually we will get it all together. But every maintenance man who owns a log splitter or tractor, they all have Parker hoses on them now! lol I wonder how that happened...must be a coincidence.

    I purposely don’t watch Andrews vids when they initially post. Instead I wait a while and just anticipate watching it…like opening a Christmas present. Does that make me nuts? Could be wrong but I don’t recall Andrew ever saying “like and subscribe”. No need. Also doesn’t load up with fifteen minute sponsored info just pure content👍. 80 years old and was in mechanics all of my life. Andrew is my kind of guy

    Need to set up some trickle chargers for the machines that sit. Issue is that in a lot of equipment the alternator constantly draws a small amount of current even when its off. A 1AMP chargers will keep the batteries topped off. Perhaps run some buried power lines around the parking area to plug in the chargers.

    It's great to see someone doing preventative maintenance, the amount of guys who leave hoses until they blow is insane, because we all know that a hose will blow at the most inconvenient time and in the most inconvenient place. It doesn't save you any money by trying to stretch out their lives, because you end up chasing your ass trying to get them fixed when you are miles away from the shop.

    Hey dar Camaratski, dat air compressor IS the most quiet compressor ever. Picked one up after you mentioned it in an earlier vid. So seriously, thanks for being authentic and NOT taking the scratch from the 'HarborFreights' of the world. In contrast; the scenes where you use local sourcing on hoses etc, ya get the inside of the repair story, that's the cool stuff.

    You need a little "yard cart." get a little handcart and put a deep cycle and inverter on it. put a charger/trickle charger and an air compressor. And whenever you aren't using it for "right now" work move it to a new piece of equipment every day to trickle them batteries. Keep another battery topped off and rotate them out as needed. Or put a solar panel on it.

    The first 30 mins is exactly why I subscribed yrs ago-this is the Andrew Camarata and videos that I like and 👍 every time. Good stuff. In the "closing in the shed" video I thought to suggest using the open area between the shed and castle as an outdoor "self service quarter car wash" with a swiveling overhead wand. The "North Star" power washer [22:28] is a perfect fit. Adding a plumbed small enclosure next to either building to store it in with a quick connect setup on the outside of the enclosure would be great [with one connection to run to the overhead wand]. If the power washer is needed elsewhere; just disconnect it from inside the enclosure and roll it away.

    Had to replace the main pressure line coming off of the pump going to the distribution centre. It was buried in oil and sand and sticks that had built up inside. Took all of the covers off to access it. Took the leaker to my local Kenworth/Deere dealer and they made up another hose. They are really stiff and are a bear to line up but the old girl runs again. Always love watching Andrew with his Hitachi 100. Mine is the 120 which is almost identical. A little love keeps these running forever.
