Nice score on the silver solder John, I have a coil of 1" wide EasyFlo No2 foil that I got from an old boy who had worked on the Blue Streak engines at Spadeadam.
You lucky sod John with that grub screw. You can bet if you had tried to do that it wouldn't have worked. With that luck go and buy a lottery ticket, you're sure to win 😊
Very good John. If you had wanted to tap the inside of the grub screw it would have fought you! I wonder how many things you have repaired in the 14 or 15 years I have been watching the channel? Best wishes, Dean.
John
That left hand drill was turning the wrong way just saying
Indeed, it was.
Glad I wasn’t the only one thinking that.
I thought that it was something to do with the strobe effect of the camera doing it..
saw that too
Well spotted
It should have been a easy job.
My mistake often happens when thinking about video not the job in hand
LOL . Secret tricks of the trade eh John ? 🙄
Don't L/H drills usually work best when driven anti-clockwise ??
Ah good, not just me thinking that :)
Indeed they do
As always, thank you! (OH God, how I miss Newcastle...!😊)

That’s a nice bit of history to think of each time you use it over the years to come 👍🏻

I don’t know how you don’t drop the carbide insert retaining screw into the chip tray. Seems like it’s a requirement on my lathe.
What a Jammy Get…!!! All the best from Kenton Lane..!! Cheers.
Good video John.
Nicely done John.
Bloody genius!
I like the warning sign. Could use one here by times...lol

Always look forward to snnc.
Thanks John
Interesting way of getting a grub screw out.

Glad it's not just me that thought that drill was running the wrong way. I see you're using "Anchorlube" instead of "Rocol". How do they compare?
Hi John, nice job again. I was wondering where you get your EN8 steel from? I need to make a bolt for my new Dickson QCTP.
What is the lube which you used for the stainless?
😂😂😂
