haha! the tube says the video is 3 yrs old but the hairstyle pre-dates the tube.
scary
That is how i need the videos to be. Straight to the point. Appreciate it so much.
Yep and of course there’s a time wasting idiotic first comment above yours to waste our time too. Never fails
That's the way it a vide should be done. Fast and easy! Thanknyou
I finally got around to fixing mine! You helped me out, Oscar! Thank You!
Exactly what I needed, thanks so much!
Hello, great video. You made my day as I was struggling to find the correct chime box. Thank you again.
I could not figure this out. After trying from the bottom, mine came off easier by gently pulling from the side. I just wanted to get the cover off to spray paint it. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Good to know it's a low voltage device👍
Easy peasy!!! Thank you.
Thank you so much. My doorbell chime recently stopped working and I was wondering about the difficulty of the job.
Thank you straight to the point
This was helpful, thank you!
Thanks for explaining
Thank you.
You answer my question.
Thank you Oscar 🙏🙏
Thank you for this.
Thank you, Sir!
awesome.... I didnt know it just pops off like that easy... previous homeowners had painted on it so the paint was caked on. Nothing a few swipes of my knife and a little gentle prying couldn't do to pop it off.
Thank you so much! I've had this horrific, super loud, heart attack inducing buzzer for too long now 😂 If I'm waiting for something/someone, I wait for them at the front door so they don't ring my doorbell 😂😂😂 Now knowing how easy it is to just change the damn thing from hell, I'll definitely do it!!
I am in the exact same situation :D
Same!! Plus plays a godawful, Westminster Chime sound - have doorbell PTSD and going to try to swap it out today with a gentle, cheery “ding dong”! 😅
You made it so easy 😂
Thanks man
I know im randomly asking but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the account password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Gordon Kaison Instablaster ;)
Thank you man I made it ❤
Thanks man.
You are the man 😎🙂
Thank you!
I pulled up on the bottom, and the entire device ripped out of the wall along with the screws. So, folks, your unit may have been painted around so I recommend that you get a sharp edge and cut through the paint before you try and pull up. I always worry when people say something is easy. There are often things you have to watch out for that can trip you up.
Thank you so much
can i put those 2 lead wires together permanently? my chime was removed and those 2 wires are hanging on the wall. im installing a ring doorbell which does not need a power kit, but a power kit is attached to these 2 wires. i need to remove the power kit but does not know if i should keep those 2 wires separated or tie them together. you mentioned they have low voltage and would not hurt if they touch together. thanks
thanks brotha
Thank you
Thanks Chico Fierri 🔥 😁 👍
Thanks for the video. As a total beginner i had a question regarding the power. Do you need to turn off power before? How can you test is there's any power running to the chime. Is there a way to test if the cable currently has any power going through it?
Very low voltage, won’t Even tickle you , you can removed it with a regular screwdriver
1 wire is the transformer, the other is the doorbell make sure you hook it to the right terminal
It looks easy.
Did Exactly that put wire back exactly the way they were. It doesn’t work. Ring chime outside works. Nothing inside. Help
So what if you replace that and it still buzzes when you push the doorbell
Not shutting down the power?
I believe he meant Phillips screw driver.
my box is sideways up and down from this one I've triedpulling from the bottom and both sides and it wont let go there is some paint on the edge but I cant get the thing off the wall... what now?
Use a utility knife to cut the paint around the chime
If only the paint is holding the cover on then I would just muscle it off. The paint shouldn’t give that much resistance and I wouldn’t want to be trying to cut around the edge of the box with a knife because you might scrape the wall where you can see it.
Man that’s did the trick . Take a knife around the box press up and open
Grey wire ⚫goes to TRANS lead screw. White wire ⚪goes to FRONT lead screw. (In the video, anyway.) 🤷 What if I have 2 red wires?
Identify which wire was attached to what with like a piece of tape or whatever and put them the same way on the new chime box 🤷
@@josee-annejoly6896 What if everything was already disconnected? Tutorials and comments always assume the usual scenario where it's hooked up and working fine beforehand 😭
He put the same box he took off, back on...
