- The Spa Valley Railway hosted their Winter Steam Gala weekend over the 9th - 11th February 2024. A total of five locos were in action over the three day gala with an intensive two passenger trains and brake van ride services.
The line-up of the gala were as follows...
Caledonian Railway 812 Class No.828
Andrew Barkley 0-4-0ST No.2315 "Lady Ingrid" (return to service after overhaul)
Southern Railway 'Battle of Britain' Class No.34072 "257Squadron" (disguise as 34066 "Spitfire")
British Railways Standard Class 2MT No.78019 (visiting from the Great Central Railway)
British Railways Standard Class 4MT No.80078

I quite enjoy seeing the Spa Valley Railway! 828 is always a pleasant sight. Very much hoping to see Sutton return to service eventually.
