- What a wonderful day at Spa Valley railway. I had a ride as a passenger from Tunbridge Wells West and then ended up getting a cab ride back from Eridge.

Lovely video , I enjoyed my visit to this railway last week and great to see how it has progressed from its early days.
Our railway company keep moaning that they don't have storage space for trains. This was one big yard they could have kept.
OMG I nearly passed out with happiness, thanks for dropping the vid ! I might just surprise the wife with a trip to Spar Valley, I'm sure she will love it just as much as I enjoyed being in the lingerie section of Primark for half an hour last week.
Superb! Haven't ridden on this line since 1982, so really must make a return trip for the thumper.
Nice sounds they sound like a class 20 locomotive or chopper as I call them you can't beat EE English electric engines from the 1960s nice dmu the thumper units 🥰

Great video - just thinking that there are a lot of people that live in Uckfield and Crowborough and work or go to college in Tunbridge Wells there with a bit of joined up thinking couldn’t an agreement be made between Spa Valley, NR and Southern to run a week day morning and evening commercial commuter through service from Uckfield to Tunbridge Wells? Maybe NR could upgrade the Spa Valley section to allow slightly higher speeds
I think the problem with the whole disused rail system is that they keep building on it. They don't think to leave the track beds there for future rail as it gets demanded. I do believe the cuckoo line should have been let. Heathfield and Hailsham are now too big not to have their railway.
There is a scouting headquarters call Adams wells forgotten how to spell it but know that place as been there for Staint Georges and other evert where get train in morning to high rock and walk on a small footpath to there .

I needed to know why don’t they just dig a tunnel and do an extension for the main line Train so that they can extend the unused abandoned underground stations.
Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock and that includes the class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign them an overhead line and also make them into Five cars per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those Five cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 7-Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 8-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into an 11 car per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers.
A Stock Train and 8 Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it bigger and extend it to the bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those 4 European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Train tunnel into a High-Speed train?
The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Train line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. then put the modernised 11 car per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those 4 European countries such as Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 11 cars per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 37 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project that is OK for London Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden.
oh by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the Passengers will go to Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend the Triple-Track Railway Line from Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go to Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden Easily.
Why couldn't they extend the Piccadilly line and also build brand-new underground train Stations so it could go even further up to Clapton, Wood Street also make another brand new tunnel train Station in Chingford and could they extend the DLR?
All of the classes 150, 155, 154, 117, 114, 105, and 106, will be replaced by all of the Scania N112, Volvo TD102KF, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Five carriages three disabled toilets are air conditioning trains including Highams Park for extended roots which is the Piccadilly line and the DLR trains.
Could you also convert all of the 1973 stock trains into an air-conditioned maximum speed 78 km/hours (48 MPH) re-refurbished and make it into a 8 cars per unit if that will be alright, and also extend all of the Piccadilly train stations to make more space for all of the extended 8 car per unit 1973 stock air condition trains and can you also build another Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive Companies and they can order Every 17 Octagon and Hexagon shape LNER diagram unique small no.13 and unique minor no.11 Boilers from those Countries such as Greece, Italy, Poland, and Sweden, can they make Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive speeds by up to 117MPH so you can try and test it on the Original Mainline so it will be much more safer for the Passengers to enjoy the 117MPH speed Limit only for HS2 and Channel Tunnel mainline services, if they needed 16 Carriages Per units can they use those class 55’s, class 44’s, class 40’s and class 43HST Diesel Locomotive’s right at the Back of those 18 Carriages Per Units so they can take over at the Back to let those Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s have a rest for those interesting Journeys Please!!!!!!, oh can you make all of those Coal Boxes’s 16 Tonnes for all of the 117MPH Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s so the Companies will Understand us PASSENGER’S!!!! so please make sure that the Builders can do as they are Told!! But i do feel that our railway network is in a mess. My big argument is why did the cuckoo line get shut down. Yes it wasn't making money then but now it needs to be put back.

I think you are absolutely right about the Cuckoo Line - there is a very small minority of people at the SpVR that would like to see the railway extend down the Heathfield line, so that it can run from Somewhere to Somewhere - maybe even provide a public transport service.
I don't know if you have driven on the roads in the Eridge/Rotherfield/Mayfield/Heathfield area in the summer, but it is jam packed with traffic - a living nightmare!
I think the railway could help alleviate those traffic problems.
Hopefully, as more young people get involved, there will be more support for a southern extension.
Great Video - very high production standards, honestly it's up to Broadcast standard. It is so refreshing that you allow the content to do the speaking, without drowning it out with lots of flashy, over-the-top graphics and effects - which so many videographers seem to do these days!

And... keep a weather eye on the Cuckoo line, perhaps write to the railway and suggest that it is extended, get friends and colleagues involved. I think it is the future.

Didn’t know the thumpers spread over multiple classes, i thought they were only 205s
No they got the nick name thumper because of the English diesel electric engine in them. There's a group on Facebook called preserved thumpers, take a look.
The nickname came about in the later years of the units after the Hastings units had been withdrawn but they come under the banner and the name got adopted in Northern Ireland too.
