The part about "I can't take you out because you look like a tramp" got me because if I'm honest I've told my daughter you can't wear that t shirt because it's stained and crumpled and you'll look like a tramp. Wondering how these words may affect her 😢 But I also want her to take pride in her appearance and not look like a scruff lol. But that was some food for thought.

I’ve got a theory on the ick. There’s a theory on falling in love called PIES which states that to fall in love with someone you have to be attracted to them Physically, Intellectually, Emotionally and Spiritually and they you.
I think that as you get to know that person.. if compatibility in more than one of these areas is too low then you start to find stupid irrational things they do repulsive. So you could meet someone and initially omg he’s really good looking, sweet, caring, a perfectly nice person and then a few dates in, as you’re getting to know each other on a deeper level, you’re just not attracted to them emotionally. Even though they’ve done nothing wrong but for example their sense of humour might be completely different yours (E) or you might find their company boring as they don’t stimulate you enough (I)… some of this is subconscious. You’ll then at around this point start to find completely irrational things a turn off.
