Poor FrankâŠ. getting no respect đ
How did that one make it through editingđ đ
I wasnt sure if you ment it tongue in cheek or if it was an actual mistake... lol...
fairplay to unai emery for being able to manage everton and aston villa at the same time!
First in history!
Thats how good he is... Truly loves the game... lol... Cant get enough needs to so it twice... simultaneously... lol...
Canât wait to see Lampardâs reaction to all this

What happened?
@@vladorac6 emery is taking the everton job and villa job at the same time
Bloody hell, Unai gets about. Everton are lucky to nab him from Villa
Really shows how underrated emery really is, canât believe heâs going to manage villa and Everton
0:27 -âUnai emery is the new manager of Evertonâ đ
might be a future prediction! đ
Great vid James. I think, either you play Ramsey on the left or you flip the system and have Buendia playing tight on the right with Bailey high on the left (where he was so electric against Brentford)
As an arsenal fan I can say that this is a great appointment for villa. Unai is a good manager. Coming behind wenger was gonna be a tough job for anybody. It didnât work out for us but I think villa is more of his level anyway.
Iâd also add that the signings he wanted (Zaha, Fabinho, Nkunku etc) werenât given to him so he never really got to create the style he wanted
Champions of Europe type of level?

@@hamster4810 sorry to bring a European cup winning manger to a European cup winning team. Its nice for the coach to be on the same level as his club xD
Excited to see what emery can do at everton
Leon Bailey on the left . Dendoncker and Luiz in the centre (until Kamara is fit). On the right Buendia or Sanson who can do the lo celso role. I think 4-2-3-1 would suit us better though as Buendia, Ings and Bailey will be on the pitch on the same time. The fullbacks will probably be more balanced and I think it will suit Digne.
I'd like to see Watkins on the wing more
I'd like to see him bring in strikers that can actually score goals first
Hes not the Everton manager James
for me, the 2 in the centre should be Luiz and Dendoncker and when Kamara comes back he replaces Dendoncker
From one Villa to another
Watching this back a year later is very impressive. Great analysis.
The ability to switch Bailey and Watkins is nice. I think it will be Luiz and Dendonker as the double pivot.
Very excited about Unai Emery. This video has made me more excited. Thanks James
I was already excited but James has just given me a semi.
Wishing everyone a good ebening! He's back in the PL boys!
Bailey on the left Watkins on the right worked fantastic for Danks on Sunday against Brentford & kudos to Danks for being brave enough to make decisions Gerrard was simply to stubborn to do.
Your man Mick Beale is safe... FOR NOW haha great insight mate. Good times hopefully ahead for us Villains.
To say Iâm excited about this appointment is an understatement given the break during the World Cup heâll be able to stamp his authority & his style on the squad.

Purslugs and that
Little slug with no personality and just jealous because we are better than them at wverything

Bounced in with that confident swagger at the start just to announce the wrong club. Felt for you there James.
Spot on assessment mate - u were the only person who predicted our formation correctly.
UTV !!!
Oh james you were so right. 6 months on and 5th place, scored in all 20 games on the trot, 5 win streak at home with 5 clean sheets in all of them. and on a 10 game unbeaten run. OOOOFT UTV!
What a video James, you're knowledge is incredible
"Villareal to Villa, very similar..." -JLA
top analysis, Jim
I think Emery will play a 4-2-3-1 double pivot with Buendia and Coutinho operating as that free 10
Also said emery manager of Everton
James, thanks really enjoyed it. Can I make some comments arising from Brentford game ? 3 key points I suggest came out of that game; Bailey much more impressive on the left (and Watkins seemed comfortable reprising his Brentford role on the right wing), secondly, Buendia has to be the 10, and, in the abscence of Kamara, Dendoncker did a great job and made life so much easier for Luiz.
Very excited to see what he can do
Great video James. For where Villa are right now, pragmatism is exactly what we need. Clearly a talented squad there that needed someone who could give them clear patterns of play to create chances and make us difficult to break down, Emery should provide both
I have been waiting for this James, thank you đ
Gud ebening James!
good ebening back on the menu
I don't mind a 442 but I would love the 4231, it looked so effective v Brentford
Villa board must be pissed off given they announced him joining yesterday.
Congratulations to Everton on the appointment
Buendia has to play James. Has to play. Think Emery will love his work ethic
BuendĂa 100% has to start, his defensive work at Norwich was outstanding, heâs made for that role
McGinn needs to be in a 3 imo, but excited for Kamara to come back and play in a 2 with Luiz. 442. 4231. Emery tactics. Lovely stuff. Also excited to see if Emery can make Ings x Watkins combo work up top.
If Emery got his signing when he was at Arsenal, or at least Zaha instead of Pepe, he would have got top 4 that season 100%
Stupid it was after the season we missed top 4 by 1 point he wanted Zaha not before that.
@@SuperMikelArteta Sure friendly guy
So excitedddđ
Good ebening
got me even more excited now than i already was
This should be how klopp lines up this season however playing other way round. Rm being Trent whoâs a little more defensive and Diaz lm whoâs more advanced doing the progressive dribbles feeding balls into salah and nunez up top. Include this with the elbow defence allows Robertson to push up a lot more acting as an outball for Diaz. Basically making Robertson part of the midfield and pushing Trent out wide of salah to make the overlapping run letting salah cut inside or Trent to give tap in back post (the city special). Would play 334 in pure dominance of the ball maybe even a 324 however against the bigger sides like we saw vs city it can work as 2 lines of 4 and allowing the 2 strikers to hit with speed on the break. Elliot and jota was class in this system too, options in numbers is our biggest downfall with 433 imo and this works with our players a lot more. Henderson in a double pivot is much better too. Thiago ticks this as usual, basically playing in the centre of the pitch
All we need now is Pochetino in Spurs and Zidane in Bournemouth, itd getting exciting
When you were talking about the Villarreal setup, I was immediately thinking Buendia for the Lo Celso role but I do think Ramsey could excel there as well. It's a really tough one
Emi brings the team into the match more. I love JJ's driving runs, but he doesn't always look for the pass.
Heâs a really really good fit for Aston Villa I think Ings and Watkins are going to be really good playing off each other
Desperately want Coutinho to find some form but if Emery only plays 1 number 10 it has to be Buendia, maybe he can play on the left if Bailey gets rotated or injured, I hope he doesn't sulk because his mate was sacked.
Love the fm chuk references
If I was doing that formation Iâd swap it over Bailey on the left, Watkins on the right but keeping & Buendia on the right. Also Dendonker in for Mcginn at the moment.
Personally, at Villa, I would say it'd be good to swap Buendia and Bailey, and then which side is the "defensive" side as a result. Leon was deployed on the left against Brentford, which is his preferred side, to devastating effect. In this case, allowing the LEFT side to be the more offensively minded side, with Digne being able to push up too, could potentially make this work even better!
GOOD EBBBEEEENNNNIIIINNNNNGGGGGGGGGG
Yess
Unai Emery is also a fan of Peaky Blinders
I think over time Emery will be able to tell what players fit his system & doesnât which could also give us the option or raiding Villarreal for a few of there stars
I could see Buendia being tried in the Danjuma role, as opposed to Watkins in certain games.
Mcginn needs time on the bench and hopefully Dendoncker and Sanson get game time .
My disappointment when Jim didnât start the video with a âGood Ebeningâ was immeasurable đ
Bailey needs to play on the left. Playing on the right hasn't worked for him in the PL. Defenders know he wants to cut inside and that cancels out his pace. McGinn should not be starting, he hasn't been good enough for over a year now. Luiz and Dendoncker should be starting until Kamara is back
Unai Emery is the best non elite coach in the world. Namely, he is the best outside of the best , which is really really good for a club the size of villa
Unai Emery is a very good manager with Prem experience. He'll be a very good fit for Villa and will help turn around their flagging season is my prediction. His appointment has just made the title race that much tougher for other teams.
the more defensive wide midfielder is a toss up between Ramsey and Buendia for me, both pretty industrious and offer different things going forward, will probably be on a game by game basis
You said he is the new manager at Everton...? Was that deliberate... lol...
Iâd play that but flip buendia and Bailey over as Bailey look best on the left and Iâd play luiz and kamara when heâs fit
I won't be surprised if Coutinho is played as striker along with Ings
James I was wondering as you were talking about emery what other leagues do you watch?
Aston villa confirmed 2024 Europa League champions
James the predictor
Câest cool
Up the FM crew
Evertonâs squad is looking real Aston Villary today
Iâm a villa fan, really happy with the appointment. Top top manager but my only concern is that the football may be a bit boring which knowing villa fans they will not like
If this is the system we play, I stick with Danks đ 4231 is important for the players we have i feel. We have 1 winger in Bailey. Buendia looks lost out there
Weird suggestion but I think Coutinio could also fit that Danjuma role?
Not quick or physical enough Josh. It is a hybrid winger/striker role, Coutinho is neither. I think Emery will look to unload Coutinho fairly soon.
Good eberning
I cannot wait for the World Cup content !
Emery is so so underrated
Kamara and Luiz in midfield no question, don't think I need explaining? Luiz great at attacking and kamara a phenomenal defensive midfield. Mcginn needs to be benched and sold ASAP. I'd start dendoncker over mcginn too
Completely off topic but howâs Tim doing at qpr James?
Watkins is very similar to Danjuma? Not sure I agree with that, although I do think Emery is an exciting appointment.
He will do well at Everton
FM crew letâs goooo
did anyone not see bailey was on the left watkins right ?
Love JLAâs videos as they educate without the petty tribalism. I think Emery is a very good appointment, I just worry that his brand of football wonât be exciting enough.
Emery has now coached 4 Villas - Villarreal, Sevilla, Aston Villa, and David Villa đ (Credit The Totally Football Show for that joke đ)
Their somewhat success in the UCL last season, Villarreal
Somewhat success is a massive understatement considering the size and squad of Villarreal
We have to stick with the 4-2-3-1 in my opinion. I when Digne and Kamara are back I think that double pivot will work beautifully
So early Iâm watching it in 360p
7:15 dendoncker instead of McGinn and something is happening

Arsenal fan here. Iâm torn about Emery. I really didnât like what the club became under his management. Not solely because of him, but he was still a contributing factor.
That said, I just kinda love him, and I have no idea why.
Purslow didnât actually make this appointment. The owners handled it themselves after his shambolic decision to appoint gerrard.
Seem like a really poorly run club. I like Emery but he would be a better appointment at Wolves or Brighton.
@@chrisleary3883 It actually seems like a really well run club. In near to no debt. Cemented itself as a Premier League club again after relegation and promotion in a relatively short time frame and now shows that it's learning from mistakes.
@@joebees21 Yes maybe I retract that about how itâs run I mean Tottenham are quite well run technically but the fans are always very frustrated. Itâs cleverly run and itâs nowhere near as disastrous as Everton for example . But their ambitions must be questioned with their existing structure. There doesnât seem to be any team building going on itâs very focused on oven ready signings who arenât that young . I want to see Emery do well Iâm an arsenal fan for the record and his position right after wenger was always going to be difficult because how we backfilled so many positions in the hierarchy and were so keen to shoe horn them all in . We have since gone for a more streamlined approach . I see a backlog of âclub signings â with villa just like what happens at spurs I expect things to stay that way .
@@chrisleary3883 Yeah that issue about bringing in oven ready signings really only started with Gerrard. Prior to him under Dean Smith the recruitment strategy was very focused on bringing in younger talent that you can sell on for a profit or nurturing academy players. Under Dean Smith a couple of seasons ago Villa were one of the youngest sides in the prem and it stayed that way until Gerrard started bringing in players like Coutinho, Digne, Diego Carlos etc. The only young player brought in under Gerrards tenure is Kamara. Can't help but feel he did that to bring success now so he could prove himself quickly. I'm a Villa fan so clearly biased but I hope Arsenal win the league this year so good luck to you đ
@@joebees21 Kamara was a very smart buy will continue to look out for how Ramsey develops too. I wonder how long until you are linked with Yeremy Pino haha great looking forward player who is a workhorse ! Tough bunch of fixtures for you lot coming up but will be rooting for Emery !
