The guards stuck around to see how the drama would unfold, while Martin & Donovan were busy escaping! LOL

Since 1984, all these years later, I have never forgotten the line “Do I have to draw you a picture?” I say it sometimes too.

My favourite line from Diana is “ Very nice dear, but remember, what you work so hard for others take great pleasure in knocking down, you must never give them the chance “

@@samjephcote7811 That was a great scene. The whole subplot of Diana taking Elizabeth under her wing and trying to mentor and shape her in her own image was very clever writing. It might sound silly but there was something almost Shakespearean about it. And it was one of many examples of how tight and interconnected all the story arcs of V were. After all, Elizabeth was the product of Diana’s “medical experiment”, and not only did that experiment result in the Red Dust which warded off the Visitors, but Elizabeth eventually wound up contributing to Diana’s defeat at the end of the Final Battle (speaking about the canon of the first two miniseries and not the later weekly series).

Ahhh….the rivalry between Pamela and Diana was just as campy as that of Alexa and Crystal on Dynasty. I always wondered what it would have been like if Joan Collins had played Pamela instead of Sara Douglas? Mind you Sara played Pamela very well. It just would have made for some entertaining tongue lashing between Jane and Joan however. One other thing, how high was Pamela in rank compared to Diana? The show refers to Pamela as a Squadron Commander but her uniform had the same three lines on the left hand side as Diana’s? I guess military triumphs science in the ranks of Sirians. Wasn’t Diana Chief Of Science? And the three lines on Diana’s uniform suggest she was pretty up there in rank considering she eventually became the Supreme Commander?

Pamela has four black stripes on her sleeves, vice Diana’s three.

Joan Collins had too much of a glamorous sexpot image to work as Pamela, but the similarities between her and Sarah Douglas are so obvious that V producers had to have seen it when they cast her. Not to mention she already had a science fiction background. They chose well.

Except Jane Badler (Diana) was a lot hotter than the overrated Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green).

There's not a name for it. It's just a late 70s early 80s style they chose, I've seen it worn in a couple other TV shows from the time
