    I love how I-385 has a landscaped median when you're coming into Greenville. Really a nice touch!

      Yea I-385 is the best kept up spur in SC now if they only focus on the rest of the state. Hope you enjoyed the ride and thanks for watching

    Being out on the road on Black Friday is far better than being at a store filled with hundreds of crazed shoppers who are about to get into a few brawls only to save a couple of dollars! 😆

    Here's a bit of a fun fact for roadgeeks ...
    I-385 and I-185 are the closest bi-directional spur interstates in the country. A bi-directional spur is an instance of a spur roadway that runs in both directions from the parent interstate ( in this case it's I-85).
    At that, to the east in nearby Spartanburg, is another spur roadway named I-585 - which is the only interstate spur that doesn't meet its parent interstate; due to it ending 0.6 miles short of I-85.
    With these two things in mind, I personally think that the Greenville-Spartanburg area has one of the most unique interstate networks in the country.

      Did they still have plans to extend it to 85? I think they only have that one intersection left to do just south of 85.

    Visited there the weekend prior to you filming this and didn't even have a chance to drive through the new Gateway interchange. It was always under construction the prior times I came through. It looked mostly done but this seems to say the scheduled completion date was pushed back almost a year?? What's left to be done?

    This makes me miss being out on the road so much, because I have lots of friends up in Greenville SC. Damn this Covid-19 pandemic!!!

    Nice work on the video. I have to say though I’ve never understood the saying “every road paints a picture and has a story to tell”. I’ve never driven a road that was holding a paint brush before. Where did that saying originate?

    • @socarboy
      @socarboy  Před 4 lety +2

      A little poetic license by me that I've been using in these videos since 2016..."For every road paints a picture" that's the view from your windshield..."and has its story to tell" those are the points of interest along the way. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for watching

      socarboy very cool. So, philosophically, what kind of picture do you think I-385 paints?

      Sorry you didn't like the music friend. Just so you know restrictions of using musing are ever tightening so choices are much more limited than they were a few years ago. these songs fit the route. Thanks for watching.
