Enjoyable video. SCDOT did a great job on Gateway project, which helped fix the traffic at 85, 385, and Woodruff Rd. Unfortunately they didn't do anything to fix Exit 54, Pelham Rd. There is always a traffic jam in both directions on 85 at that exit, and they are now just starting to widen 85 there.
Hopefully they can widen 85 in that area to four+ lanes in each direction because when going from Spartanburg through Greenville, we have to use backroads until we get to 385 at Woodruff Rd and the Gateway. Traffic on 85 is ok once past the bottleneck at Pelham Rd in either direction.

I'll bet that traffic around Pelham Rd is a bitch during rush hour I lived in Spartanburg for almost 8 years in the 90s and there has been so much growth there in the last 25 years I did a video of 85 thru there a couple of years ago up to Number 9 (exit 75) in Spartanburg. The last time I drove through that area when they were doing construction going to Atlanta and to the mountains. I’m glad they completed the construction in that junction.
Yeah I wanted to get all of it that day like but only got about 1/2 of it. Traveling on that day Saturday Nov 27 2021 was a challenge especially on I-85 in Georgia around Jefferson due to a big truck wreck which I eluded to, in another way, in this video filmed earlier that same day.
