- Reaction from Fir Park as Celtic came from behind to win 1-3 against Motherwell.
A first-half strike from Blair Spittal gave the Steelmen a half-time lead. However, the introduction of Adam Idah turned the game for the Hoops as his 2 goals turned the game on its head.
Idah's second goal came in the 4th minute of added time and keeps Celtic's title hopes alive. Luis Palma added a third for Celtic with the last kick of the game.

Isn't always though, said many of times not to the word of Martin but he said he can only see one winner come may, have 2 firm grasp of the trophy. The players have a togetherness and showing now shown on the pitch, to the Rodgers system starting to work after 3-1 (Kilmarnock & 4-1 Hearts). The only thing I've got wrong this season is that Rangers weren't top sooner than Feb, could tell this was happening after being 0-0 60 mins about 5 times first 8 or so into the season along with kyogo scoring about 2 goals. Also stated that Hart has conceded every 2nd shot on target against him since I've noticed months back... what happened today ? Although it was a belter

His deliveries are another level, still regressed Defensively though compared to his sterling form last season.

Papering over the cracks alright. Just for turning Kyogo into someone that wouldn’t get a game for the new club Rodgers should be shown the door.

Maeda is brutal on the ball but id play him from the start just to try to wear down the full back then bring on Palma. There is a player in Yang but it’s hit and miss but did well coming on. We’ve truly missed CCV and Rio and ultimately Jota being sold and anything from Abada. O’Reilly is honking.

Meada is a liability, his crosses end up in row z, he has zero composure with a ball at his feet and misses too many chances,sure he has pace but is that enough for him to start every game?

Completely disagree with the guy Kenny's criticism of Iwata. The problem wasn't him, it was his mates!! He was trying to do the job of three men, his own, McGregor's and O'Riley's, who were utterly abysmal!! I don't think I have seen Calum play so badly!! Iwata was trying manfully to cover for the ineptitude of the other two, who should have been subbed instead of him!!
As for Kuhn, I will try to be kind and say he is still settling into the team. Having said that, the omens aren't good. On the strength of, (or lack), his performances so far, I can see why he was moved on by Bayern and Ajax. The difference between him and Yang, (who i'm not a great fan of), was stark. Yang was dynamic and willing to try and take men on, inside and out, so credit where its due!
What a difference Carte Vickers makes. Commanding, composed and strong, something Celtic's other defenders are not!

I like you could not fathom that criticism of Iwata. For me he was our best player, and this was 'heard and amplified' through the disapproval of the Celtic away support at his substitution. The issue in the first half was the following players: Johnston, Scales, Taylor, O'Riley, McGregor, Kuhn, Kyogo and Maeda continually giving the ball away and playing football like a group of strangers that had no chemistry, urgency, and lacked competitiveness. The Motherwell goal against tells you everything. This whole sequence began with Taylor down by our goal line and he misplays the ball allowing a Motherwell throw in. I don't have a replay, but I think it was Miller that absolute skinned our captain because of his poor defensive technique and plays a pass to Spittal, who scores. When you manage or coach a football team 'Performance' is the key factor for any player chosen as a starter or even a substitute. You cannot select based on favoritism or someone named Captain. O'Riley and McGregor are performing poorly and both needs talked to or benched. After all, Kyogo, Hatate, Palma, Lagerbeilke, Nawrocki and Holm have all been benched.

Carter Vickers coming on just proves how when you spend decent money you get real quality, calmness personified even after such a long time on the sidelines.

We never seem to play the ball into space for players to run onto. It’s always played into a tightly marked players feet with their back to the goal.

I think the analysis is fair - I thought Maeda gave the team & fans a boost that the spirit was right, the chances were coming & the game plan was working. Against Aberdeen, Hibs, Kilmarnock etc they were not making the chances
We are alway's told Maeda is a striker not on today's form his finishing is shocking, all he has is pace and tracking back nothing else.

Fact .. Idah got the worst press of all the January incomers including Chris Sutton who no doubt knew him better than most being at Norwich. Yet he is the only one who has actually shown he can be that bit above the ordinary? He actually looks like the perfect replacement for GG being a similar type of player?

Idah despite being slaughtered by some Celtic fans has been brilliant and Yang now is coming on after being labelled a dud some fans just don’t want to give people time to settle. As for Kuhn he has just arrived and came into a struggling side he looks nervous and scared to go for it , he is best left on the bench and brought on for 15 20 mins till next season that approach has helped Yang as he is looking good now . In some aspects Calmac was our poorest player today he is well off his standards he has set one MOR is playing incredibly poorly
I agree with McGregor. He needs taken off captaincy permanently cause the armband role is too heavy for him plus his overall play hasn't been good enough

That's inexcusable at this point of the season. Yes, there have been injuries and absences, but at this point, a better manager would know who to start from week to week.

The best games ive seen Yang play, he plays on the right side. Kuhn looks like he needs to play on the left. He always wants to cut in on his left foot down the rightside. Every hughlight video i seen of him he was on the left.

That 2nd half was much better with CCV back he had that calming effect on the whole back line that quicker passing forward with players closer together was night & day keep that up we are right back in this if we keep playing like that from min 1 till last much better

We got out of jail today.The first half was so lazy with no fight and Motherwell were definitely good for their lead and i thought that was the league over. What was good about the second half was that we actually fought for the victory and although it was tough we showed we can win through with guts and determination. The downside of course is we wont get away with that sort of football we played in the first half. Anyway three points and we're still in it but we have to get it sorted mentally as well.
Our fixtures are awful were gonna play Pittodrie tynecastle fir park easter road killie twice and they are gonna need to just play there once thats not fair
Passing was shocking in 1st half from all the team, wingers couldn't beat a man or get a decent ball into the box.
2nd half was a big improvement,though Maeda missed two golden chances.
We got there in the end,a lot of improvement needed but it's the 3 points that count.

Apart from Kyogo not getting service, he himself is not as switched on as last season. Crosses, like the ones Maeda missed, saw Kyogo a yard or two and static behind the crosses.
I'm one of the wee man's biggest fans but even I admit he seems to have lost a lot interest in recent weeks. He might be carrying an injury of course but something is very wrong with Kyogo right now despite his lack of service, imo.
Keep up the good work lads, we must never forget disappointment is temporary Liquidation is permitted
1) I think the explanation for Kyogo is his shoulder is knackered. He should just get the operation now so he's ready for the start of next season & move Maeda across one as second striker (I don't think we can count on Oh). 2) 2nd half is as good as I've seen from the team all season - there was excitement there and the rapport/chemistry between the team & fans seemed back. 3) great ball with outside of foot by Yang to Johnston to assist Idah's winning goal was excellent - excellent secondary assist - those 3 showed real character in a critical moment. 4) CCV's dominance & Taylor's dynamism getting forward make a huge different (and quality too - outstanding cross for Idah & a world-class goal) - so will Hatate hopefully. 5) I actually thought although there were bad misses from Maeda he did give us a boost that the game-plan was working & chances were coming. 6) McGregor & O'Riley both seem nervous - if they can get into their stride then the team can start firing in all cylinders.

1st half was perhaps the worst 45 mins I've ever seen from Celtic. Subs were the difference in the second. Really hope this is the spark that reignites the season.
MacGregor looks like hes just tiding over until the euros in the summer, looks like he's giving 60% each game now, same with oreilly.. Khun looks scared to take his man on in case he loses possession. I think its partly down to Rodgers tactics. First half was woeful. So predictable whenit goes out wide and then passed back - the games 90 mins, just take chances and put balls into the box and have the front men make forward runs instead of playing with their backs to the goals all the time
McGregor has been an utter disgrace this season and thats being kind. The captaincy roll is too heavy for him.
Hatate won't change anything, he was c*ap long before his injuries. In any case he is clearly injury-prone so it's no good for the title run-in if he is rarely 'fit'?

Good video, not sure I agree with some of the points. Don't think we got away with one today. Yes the first half was bad, but we could have easily scored five in rhe second half and for me it was a deserved win. The goals came at the end, but they didn't come from nowhere.

We got it done. Think of the crash of Rangers fans when they thought it was over. We are still in there. We have been utter dross all year. Second half showed we can lift it, will need even more, but that was a psychological lift for us and a reminder to them we ain’t done.
