    I see this video is a year old, but it was super helpful to me! I need to SEE a whole curriculum before I can tell if it is right for my child. You should look into sponsored videos bc you should get paid for detailed walk thru!! 😊

    Ohhhh I love the spelling website you mentioned. Totally saving that! I'm so glad I found your review on this.

    I bought this curriculum for my son and after watching your video I think I’m officially sold on it! Thank you for this - I was struggling with how I was going to implement this. I love the idea of Day 5 being done on the first day of the week, and your workday list you made - do you have a copy of that somewhere I could use 😬?

      I am so glad that was helpful. Let me look and see if I still have the list.

      Home Sweet Homeschool do you also do Day 1 on the first day or only Day 5? So if the start day is Monday, then that’s not Day 1 but rather Day 5?

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před 4 lety +1

      Missy Miller yeah, we would usually do day 1 as well.

    I love your breakdown. I just purchased this curriculum and looking for ways to hack the book so it is not to intimidating for my child. I am here for the binder idea and was looking to see if anyone had done it.

      It works well in a binder. Thanks for watching.

      I have the happy planner hole punch and I bought the disks for the spine and made my own book for each child but I put just the weeks amount of sheets in their books so it’s not too much.
      I should make a video about it.

    The little book you showed....do they need that to be able to do the lessons? I'm ordering this and I had no idea he needed that book! So glad I watched this

    Great review! Thank you so much! I have a 3rd and a 4th grader.. do you think level 3 and 4 are very close in what they teach? I’m debating on buying level 4 and letting them do that level together. I’m struggling with finding what’s best for them this year. 🥺

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před 2 lety +1

      I think Level 4 would work great for both of them.

    Hello :) I know this was likely a few years back. I am trying to decide between level 3 or 4 for my almost 9 year old son who is in GR 3 this year . He is a quick learner but HATES capital H, writing :P and busy work … short sweet lessons are his type.
    We are using Language Arts Through Literature but I was thinking of using this as part of his morning work for practice and review .
    How heavy on writing is level 4? Would level 3 be better ? 🤔

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před rokem

      To me, it didn’t seem too heavy on writing. The lesson are very short, so he probably won’t mind it.

    What size binder is this book in?

    My child is in 3rd grade this year public school...virtual...there was a HUGE jump from her 2nd grade to 3rd grade LA. Everything in this level 4 book she has done this year alone in 2 months. She had ADHD and needs a slow down. I'm not sure if I should get her a level 3 book or gp with this one. I'm trying to decide on everything before I pull her out.
    I thought I was set on TGTB but now I just dont know....what did your son NOT like about it???

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před 3 lety

      There is a placement test on the Masterbooks website I believe. That might help you place her better. My son likes it at first, then it became just a bunch of worksheets to him.

    • @DanaK817
      @DanaK817 Před 3 lety +2

      LOL. I'm back to look at this again. I did pull her out of school at Thanksgiving break. I went with Christian Light Education 3rd grade. She has done really well and has decided she wants to stay homeschooled. I think she needs a change from CLE because it is the same over and over...I'm going to go with this book level 5 for next year it has more variety than what she's been doing with shorter lessons. CLE was GREAT for the 1st year. I still love this video!!!

    Have you still been using this curriculum? My son has adhd and reluctant writer, I tried TGATB LA for my son, but there were lots of tears and mommy losing her patience, so we quit that real fast lol

    • @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife
      @HomeSweetHomeschoolLife  Před 3 lety +1

      No, we don’t use it anymore. I use the Language Arts that is built in to Gather Round.

      No, we don’t. We only use Gather Round. It is a great program though, just didn’t work for my son.
