It may cost the most of anything in our lives to, to fight, live and serve Jesus Christ. But it pales in comparison to what he paid for us on the Cross, for our iniquities, our Sins. Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.

I also love that Adrian acknowledges the culture war BS but he rejects it and states (truthfully) that Christians are called to set a good example. Trying to legislate morality actually does the opposite, it proves to others that we only care about controlling others. We ought to show others how happy and fulfilled you can be, as a disciple of Christ, without the sin and the indulgence of modern culture.

I love the historical context of the watch towers in the vineyards. I am reminded of Jesus' other sermon on building your house on the sands (of human understanding) or on the rocks (of God's understanding). Back then, building a house was synonymous with building a family. You were responsible for the well-being of everyone and everything that lived in your house, including their spiritual well-being.
That's amazing I'm ever in awe at the truth of God's word and how when we live by it as our all and everything it leads us to abundance not of worldly things but much more the presence and power of God working in us,towards us and through us. I don't speak as one who has reached the mark but as one who is running with patience as Jesus' character is being built within me by the master builder

In the CZcams search bar, I searched "Disciples of Christ" looking for content specific to Discipleship. This was one of the 1st videos to come up. Currently working on becoming not just a believer but a Disciple of Christ is what brought me here. I've had a 40yr life of Lukewarmness (don't know if that's a real word 😁) but I know I have not fully yielded to the Will of God. It's time for me to move the needle in that direction. crucified with Christ means to me my old sinful nature desires motive deeds ways and anything I was born with that will keep me from being what Christ would have me to be is nailed upon the cross of Calvary with him and crucified with Christ. I am no longer that old person I am a new creation in him.

Salvation is free. And we do owe God everything. If someone saves your life, especially when it would be perfect justice for them not to, you owe them your life.
Romans 11:36 says, “For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things.” That means everything. It’s hard to accept, but nothing we have really belongs to us. The only thing Christians can count on truly having is Jesus Himself. ❤
