How to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
ADMIT YOUR SIN: Sin separates us from God. The Bible says, "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) The only way back to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ.
ABANDON SELF-EFFORT: If we could save ourselves, Jesus didn't have to die! Salvation is by God's grace alone. "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
ACKNOWLEDGE CHRIST'S PAYMENT: Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for your sins. "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Jesus died in your place and your sin debt has been paid for by, "The blood of Jesus Christ." (1John 1:7)
ACCEPT CHRIST AS SAVIOR: Put your faith in Jesus Christ and Him alone for your salvation. Receive Him by faith. The Bible says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:31) Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man cometh unto the Father but by Me." (John 14:6)
OFFER THIS PRAY TO GOD TODAY: Heavenly Father, I'm a sinner, I'm lost and I need to be saved. I know I can't save myself. I trust You to save me. Come into heart, forgive my sin and save me. I give you my life, I don't look for a sign or ask for a feeling; I trust only in You to save me. Begin now to make me the person You want me to be. Help me never to be ashamed of You. Thank You for saving me, Jesus. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Oh man, have I been spanked by God! As a Christian who asked Jesus to save me at age 12, I still had deep-rooted issues with loneliness and trauma because my mom was killed by domestic violence when I was just 7 years old. Growing up I never had a Christian girlfriend in my Christian school. Due to my loneliness and low self-image I felt I wasn't good enough for them, so I later dated unsaved girls to try to fill that void. My senior year of high school I met an unsaved girl, took her to church, etc, but after a year or so I was inflicted with asthmatic bronchitis and was hospitalized a month. That relationship ended as a result. Later on in my 30s, I had the same problems and married a woman who wasn't saved. While we were in the dating stage, I developed chronic anxiety and knew in my heart I was making the wrong choice. But stupidly, I married her anyway and the anxiety didn't get any better. We divorced several years ago but I have paid a heavy price for my disobedience in that way. Please, don't ever marry someone who isn't a Christian. It's not worth it. Maybe a few work out where the unsaved spouse gets saved but it's like playing Russian Roulette. I beg you, don't do it.

The Bible does say to "work OUT your salvation". Not once does it ever say "work FOR your salvation". If you believe that you are earning your salvation by how you live then you are lost and on your way to hell. You have never been born again by the grace of God through faith in the only one who can save you from hell, the Lord Jesus Christ. Also, not once does the Bible say or teach that if you "endure to the end" that you will be saved for eternity. That is a misrepresentation of what the Bible says and you are taking it totally out of context. In fact, that statement has NOTHING to do with being saved from hell AT ALL!!! Nobody ever has or ever will "endure to the end" and because they did that they will go to heaven. If you really, really believe that you best hope that you don't have so much as a single sin on your record at the moment of death. If you do sin, no matter what the sin how little or big, you will be sent to hell for eternity since no sin can enter into heaven. You don't understand that salvation is all by the grace of God through faith in the shed blood of the Lamb of God. God not only wipes out your record of your past sins, but judicially He never records your future sins to your account. Read Romans 4 VERY, VERY carefully. Salvation is 100% by the grace of God through faith. You clearly DO NOT believe that concept. You believe you are keeping yourself saved by how you live which makes me think you also believe you think God saved you some other way than by grace alone through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your sins. I hope you will repent of your wicked false teaching and trust Christ alone for your salvation The Bible is clear it's all of His grace we are saved. Titus 3:5,6. You are either saved forever or you have never been saved at all, period. You either got ETERNAL LIFE or you got no life at all.
