Soldering iron works just as well just prep the surface with some sand paper and use the tip of the iron to push little waves into the plastic about 1mm apart then lay all of them flat to join, i have used this method and its worked 100% every time even joining a motorcycle front mug guard together which was in 2 pieces if needed drill a few holes for some small cable ties to hold both pieces together and filler over them after
I know im asking randomly but does someone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Keanu Rodrigo i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
O well in reaction to all the negative posts i can say this is a great bit of kit i bought one a year ago, much cheaper than a nitrogen welder for pretty much the same result " a good strong weld" This model appear to have bespoke design in the welder pistol as it gives of very little smoke in comparison to other welder.s This is a welder !! To create a weld one must melt the base material and fuse it with the filler rod, this is how plastic is welded the same basic procedure as welding metal. Though in this video a larger V groove, should have been created in my opinion. and the plastic should be cleaned with a pre cleaner to remove any contaminants. Some plastics polyurethane for example cannot be fusion welded and do following a procedure like brazing
I use solder iron tips on hard cracked plastics. Hit it at 450 degree, go one pass deep/to the other end but not through, making a wake on each side. Do another pass folding the wakes down. Do a last pass to smooth out the surface. If you sand it it will look "like new" :-) Has never failed and done it like 10 times. Coolers, just cover parts and other stuff.
How is that unit any different than a electronic hot air station? I would imagine that unit is significantly more than $400, which is the cost of a good quality hot air station capable of reaching temperatures of 500º C. BTW, your caption should read "without smoke or burning", not "without no smoke and no burning".
Dear Sir, first of all we thank you for your enquiry. We have developed this item to be used with plastic stripes in order to repair the broken plastic car bodies. The unit is able to reach high temperature in order to melt properly the plastic stripes and do a proper job. We are not yet selling this product in the american market so we can provide to you any info concerning end user price list. Any suggestion is always welcome. Thank you for your attention. If you have any enquiry, feel free to send us an e mail. Thanks Albatros Team
John mounted the piece back into the car and delivered it to Andrew. After a couple of miles the piece broke again and crashed into the front window. Andrew died that same night.
Dear Sir, we use the same "material" of the car body in order to properly fix it. As an example...if the car body is made of PP, we use stripes of PP, if it's ABS, we use stripes of ABS and so on. That's the onbly way to get a high standard result and proper repair.
@@nikushim6665 it is certainly welding. It isn't like other weldijg because its the exact same material being bonded by heat. It doesnt need to mix to be welding
Dear Sir, even if it's not a polite way to describe the tool, I assume that you are not aware of the cost of it. Concerning the noise, we have decided to record a realistic video without any music in order to show to the customers its real capability. I thought you might appreciate. The different kinds of plastic stripe ( PP,ABS, PUR etc ) may be chosen according to the kind of car body that you nned to repair and that's very important.
Looks more like hot glue than welding. At no point did the body panel or the glue strip melt into each other. Not saying it won't hold... just that it's not welded.
Dear Sir, we don't adopt a standard glue to fix it. We adopt specific kind of stripes accoridng to the kind of car body. As an example, we adopt PP stripes if the car body is made of PP. That's the best way to achieve a high performances in terms of resistance and durability. We "dig" a V in order to provide to the stripe more surface to be set in contact with.
Dear Sir, by using the zipties, these may break and air may pass through.. By adopting the specific kind of stripe, like ABS, PP , PUR etc, you properly fix it, granting a high performance in terms of resistance and durability.
Dear Sir, we are just providing specific infos and answers. I just thought you might appreciate that. If not, we do apologize but we don't switch our vocabulary neither minimize the will and pleasure to provide worthy reasons for such a tool to other customers.

Dear Sir, the secret of getting a real high quality result is to use the right kind of stripe for the right car body. The "glue" is standard; we have different choices like PP, ABS, PUR according to the customer's needs.

Finally, here is a positive comment. Yeah, this is a really nice technique and easy to use but some idiots just don't understand.
It's not a plastic weldel. Plastic welder melts parts to join them together, and this thing, it's close to brazing, but not welding
More like glueing... but nothing like welding

Hello. Please tell me where I can buy this material (white plastic).
funny how the video ended short after you hear the sound of ripping plastic XD
Dear Sir,
the stripe doesn't rip.

This looks so similar to Chinese hot air soldering stations. Most probably a rebranded chinese

But why do you use than teeny tiny hot air attachment???
Dear Sir,
we want to "focuse" the heating in one specific point; we can regulate the ATM but the size of the "hot air" is standardized.
lmao you start to hear it break then the video cuts off
Dear Sir,
we wanted to show the resistance of it. believe me, it doesn't break and the video hasn't been cut!
