It is too his advantage, lol, Gymnastics has been said to be easier when you are short. Especially for women's gymnastics. This is heavily supported with most of the athletes we see now. Of course, this isn't always the case.

The second to the last pass was unnecessarily close to the line. He started too far from the corner. He could have easily chasséd or just stepped closer to the corner before he started his tumbling pass. Those little things definitely make a difference. Hopefully he medals in Paris on several events. His vaulting is spectacular!
