    No autotune. No laptops. No video screens. Just raw rock and roll power. God I miss the 70's!

      The thing people don’t know. Is mid nite special was recorded at 10 am😂. So they were totally out of their element and I think I remember hearing Steven say they actually started drinking at like 8 am to try and get in Rythm for the show

    Joe Perry should have concentrated on learning the exact leads by Hunter and Wagner on this one cause they are “All Time Classics”

    Did I miss something, or did Joe play all 3 solos and Brad played none??

    • @nq1313
      @nq1313 Před rokem

      Whitford played some of the solos in other performances. This one he's a bit restrained. Guessing it was because of TV

    • @Justin-pq3rq
      @Justin-pq3rq Před 10 měsíci +1

      It’s because back then Joe was the unquestioned lead and way ahead of Brad. Later in the band’s career they started to share lead and rhythm more but at the beginning it was all Joe.

    • @MatthewSychantha
      @MatthewSychantha Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@Justin-pq3rq unquestioned is a stretch. Whitford's always played SOME solos across the records. Joe's got quite an ear for melody and making it singable, but everyone knows Brad has better technique and structure. Nine Lives, Last Child, Kings and Queens, Nobody's Fault...just incredible playing.

    • @Justin-pq3rq
      @Justin-pq3rq Před 10 měsíci +1

      Nope. That’s what pure live, uncut, unedited in your face from 1974 sounded like. And before u say anything go watch jimmy page or whoever and u will hear it whoever it is.

    • @lahaza6515
      @lahaza6515 Před 10 měsíci

      Nope, I saw them live in 1976 at The Capitol Center in MD and please don't misunderstand; I LOVE them, especially Joe's work, even some of his solo stuff.
      All I meant is that it do4es sound like he's a little all over the place here.
      That's not meant in a nasty way at all, just unusual for him.
      And yes of course, live, unproduced or clean is always better, that's not up for5 debate.
      It's okay to state the truth without it being an affront on talent.@@Justin-pq3rq

      You're right. If you notice Tyler is sending signals to the mixer guy to lower Joe's volume. It's always been this way.

    Great band. One of my favourites ...... but placed alongside the energy of the Dolls, Aerosmith (other than Tyler and Kramer) come across as demure here. Also a 2 guitar band that lacks the bombast of say Kiss in 1974.

      Jesus Christ these trolls are something 😂😂😂. This is unedited, uncut, no fillers , nothing. Pure awesomeness. U can go an listen to any band from this time. Led Zeppelin etc… jimmy page makes mistakes left and right. That’s how it was in 1974. They were human. Not gods. Like today’s music and everything else that’s so layered and fake and see through. They sound amazing. Joe ripped that guitar apart.
