Aerosmith - Train Kept a Rollin' Live 1974 (Midnight Special) Vocals: Steven Tyler Guitars: Joe Perry Guitars: Brad Whitford Bass: Tom Hamilton Drums: Joey Kramer
The thing people don’t know. Is mid nite special was recorded at 10 am😂. So they were totally out of their element and I think I remember hearing Steven say they actually started drinking at like 8 am to try and get in Rythm for the show
It’s because back then Joe was the unquestioned lead and way ahead of Brad. Later in the band’s career they started to share lead and rhythm more but at the beginning it was all Joe.
@@Justin-pq3rq unquestioned is a stretch. Whitford's always played SOME solos across the records. Joe's got quite an ear for melody and making it singable, but everyone knows Brad has better technique and structure. Nine Lives, Last Child, Kings and Queens, Nobody's Fault...just incredible playing.
Nope. That’s what pure live, uncut, unedited in your face from 1974 sounded like. And before u say anything go watch jimmy page or whoever and u will hear it whoever it is.
Nope, I saw them live in 1976 at The Capitol Center in MD and please don't misunderstand; I LOVE them, especially Joe's work, even some of his solo stuff. All I meant is that it do4es sound like he's a little all over the place here. That's not meant in a nasty way at all, just unusual for him. And yes of course, live, unproduced or clean is always better, that's not up for5 debate. It's okay to state the truth without it being an affront on talent.@@Justin-pq3rq
Great band. One of my favourites ...... but placed alongside the energy of the Dolls, Aerosmith (other than Tyler and Kramer) come across as demure here. Also a 2 guitar band that lacks the bombast of say Kiss in 1974.
Jesus Christ these trolls are something 😂😂😂. This is unedited, uncut, no fillers , nothing. Pure awesomeness. U can go an listen to any band from this time. Led Zeppelin etc… jimmy page makes mistakes left and right. That’s how it was in 1974. They were human. Not gods. Like today’s music and everything else that’s so layered and fake and see through. They sound amazing. Joe ripped that guitar apart.
No autotune. No laptops. No video screens. Just raw rock and roll power. God I miss the 70's!
This is like young, awesome, Aerosmith playing at your basement party.
I saw Aerosmith 1974 in Honolulu. They played TrainKeptRollin and were warm up band for DoobieBros.
Valerie Hopkins& Mr. Cuthbertson:) Professional dancing performance in grade school to Aerosmith- Train Kept a Rollin.
Ahhhh the good ole days when Joe Perry's guitar was cranked !!!!
Damn the good Ole days
What great memories I have growing up in the 70's
I was hooked on these guys at 12 years old watching them live! Incredible time for music!
J'adore ce son classic - l'aerosmith hard rock the best toys in the attic great album ^^A^^ magnifique groupe
That's rocking the house raw
total jam
Top 3 song done by Aerosmith, even though it wasn't originally done by them. They ROCK it!!!
Damn, Tyler had the bandana on the mic stand in 1974.!
Great tone. Very 70s all around.
Le Jeff Beck période "Yardbirds" n'est pas loin 🤩
All of um high as a kite
Drunk on JD. The hard stuff came later.

🤘🤠🤘
I love that band too much!🎸🎤
Joe Perry should have concentrated on learning the exact leads by Hunter and Wagner on this one cause they are “All Time Classics”
Excellent, wonder where the rest of the show is..?
I think they only played 2 songs
You know it’s not Joe that plays the lead on this song, on the Album. It’s a guy name Dick Wagner.
5/2023😊
First time I've seen this. I didn't know Kristi McNichol was that old in the 70's. Thought she would be shorter too.
Did I miss something, or did Joe play all 3 solos and Brad played none??
Whitford played some of the solos in other performances. This one he's a bit restrained. Guessing it was because of TV

Wow, Joe really must have been a little off that night.
Sounds fine to me

Joe didn't do that stuff in the studio. Look it up.
@@AnotherOrangeJulius what are u talking about. I’m taking about the video. The performance that literally says live 1974 midnight special
Poor sound quality here, this song kicks ass on Get your Wings…along with Seasons of Wither, two of the band’s best efforts back in the day…
Hunter & Wagner guitars ahahahah 😂😅😊
My question is where is the rest of the band members? Perry's guitar is too loud!
You're right. If you notice Tyler is sending signals to the mixer guy to lower Joe's volume. It's always been this way.

brad and Joe need to working his guitar ...dick Wagner where are you
Tempo too slow...
damn it's not speed metal.. lol
@@jimbo0411 I know that, But not up to the original speed...
I like this slightly slowed down version.
sloppy lead but I gotta say it was good
Umm how about real genuine ?
