The all time hit king. Outro Song | Julian Calor - "Cell" Twitter | / exeeditsmlb Instagram | / exeedits Facebook | / exeedits * I do not own any of the clips that I upload. All clips belong to Major League Baseball.
You'd be surprised: It was said he learned spanish just to talk trash at Latino players. Don't get me wrong.. Ichiro is the greatest of all time. Dont @ me.
In a league where we sometimes get too enamored with homerun hitters, we need to appreciate guys who can do everything else at a superb level. That was Ichiro.
5:00 People don't even realize that Ichiro could've hit a lot more home runs than he did. He stayed with his singles, get on base approach and it that's what baseball really is about but when his team needed a home run he would change his approach and swing to hit it out. Like he did against Mariano, two outs down one run with a man on base he hit the first pitch out and ended the game. Give this man his respect
I've always felt the same thing. He just had to make an adjustment on his launch angle. But it meant more for him to get on base consistently than it meant for him to hit dingers.
As a long time Mariners fan, I'm happy to see Ichiro still playing well. He came to Seattle and instantly impacted not only our team but the entire MLB. Guaranteed first ballot hall of famer. Can't wait to see 3,000 hits in the MLB this season.
I don't really follow baseball but I always took note of Ichiro because of things like "people don't run on him" or that "he has the power to just go for home runes but decides to just concentrate on getting base hits" stuff like that. So why did he part with Seattle? I always thought everyone loved him there and that he could have been like an MLB one teamer.
He is honestly one of my favorite players of all time. The fact he was so good for such a long time is incredible, and the fact that he played kindly with only getting thrown out once is amazing. Just an amazing person in general.
This compilation left out really the best of Ichiro...the best was the pair of signed cleats he sent to the young girl in Seattle that kept up the Ichi-meter on his side of the outfield with a note thanking her. He is the definition of pure class and honor. 1st ballot hall of famer without question or doubt
The only time he ever threw a bat in anger was followed with a letter to the makers of the bat apologizing for misusing the bat and not respecting the hard work of the people who made it. Who else does that? He’s one in a million
Most people dont realize the Japanese season is considerably shorter (most games Ichiro played over there in 1 season was 135). Even if his average was slightly lower over here, he would have still most likely gotten the same amount of hits per season with the extra 27 games, although his .350 average as a rookie for the mariners really shows how much harder it was over here for him. ICHIRO>ROSE (and i'm from Cincinnati)
I'm a big Ichiro fan. People making a big deal about if his MLB hits and Japan hits should be combined. Take it for what it is, a great accomplishment. My opinion, 2 separate leagues so 2 separate hit totals. But nobody can take away his 3,000 hits in the MLB where he began his career at 27!
And now he's only a couple more away from 3,000 in the MLB. Ichiro is a once in a lifetime player and will solidify himself as among baseball's greatest in Cooperstown.
when you watch ichiro swing, he isnt going for the fences or anything, it's like he calculates exactly where the fielders are and he puts the ball exactly where they arent. He's going for the tactically best possible place to put the ball, and he knows how to hold and swing the bat for it to get there.
I am Japanese. Ichiro is very proud that he is active in the major. His way of thinking and behavior has many things to emulate. When I look at his play, I get cheerful that "I have to work hard"
Thanks for being a great ambassador for baseball and coming back to Seattle this year. I hope you haven't played your last MLB game yet. Lets get the statue built in safeco like yesterday.
I'm not a fan of the teams he is on, but I am a fan of him. I guess you can say its like Tim Duncan and the spurs. Everyone respects him and wishes him greatness. unless he is playing against my team of course lol.
He once threw his bat after a bad hit and it hurt him so much that he sent an apology letter to the company and promised never to do that again...so after every hit from then on, he gently laid his bat to the ground.
I'm Japanese, and we're proud of having wonderful Japanese player like Ichiro!!I'm very very happy.Because most people like Ichiro around the world, and thank you for sharing this video!!!!! I want to be like Ichiro over the border. I'm sorry for pure English...lol
With Griffey going into the Hall this season and having the highest vote percentage in history, he needs a video. Part 1 is his catches. Part 2 is his home runs. Part 3 is his home run derby appearances. That would get a TON of views.
Dude I subbed last night but I'm realizing that you deserve 3 MILLION subscribers, not 3 thousand!! Anyway, keep up the AMAZING work!! By the way, who's your favorite team?
My 2 most memorable Ichiro moments are when he dances around the catcher at home plate to avoid the tag (search "Ichiro ninja", he did that twice actually), and his game-winning hit in the 10th inning of the WBC 2009 finals against great rival Korea. Here's what went through his mind during that at bat: blog.japaneseballplayers.com/2011/03/ichiro-and-his-thoughts-as-he-entered-his-at-bat-at-2009-wbc-final/
Ichiro also holds the record for playing the game with the most class.
ReklawLah Pete Rose holds the record for the numbers of games bet on
ReklawLah true that!
You'd be surprised: It was said he learned spanish just to talk trash at Latino players.
Don't get me wrong.. Ichiro is the greatest of all time. Dont @ me.
ThatOneDev lmao if he learned Spanish just for that then I’ll allow it
Mariano Riveria would be number 1
In a league where we sometimes get too enamored with homerun hitters, we need to appreciate guys who can do everything else at a superb level. That was Ichiro.

あなたは、とても理性的で洞察力のある人です。
💯 exactly
Ichiro is the man. Arguably the most humble superstar of all time
TRUE INDEED.
from a young boy to a grey-hair legend.
this guy is just the best. he knows he's good, but doesn't showboat. plays all aspects well.
As a long time Mariners fan, I'm happy to see Ichiro still playing well. He came to Seattle and instantly impacted not only our team but the entire MLB. Guaranteed first ballot hall of famer. Can't wait to see 3,000 hits in the MLB this season.
I hope he comes back to Seattle so he can retire as a Mariner #GoM's
+Onyx Illusionzz go mariners
Carlos Robayo Now its time for him to retire as Mariner
I don't really follow baseball but I always took note of Ichiro because of things like "people don't run on him" or that "he has the power to just go for home runes but decides to just concentrate on getting base hits" stuff like that. megaphor Im pretty sure we traded him
3000 hits and started MLB at 28 years old. Think about how hard that is. Respect.
He is honestly one of my favorite players of all time. The fact he was so good for such a long time is incredible, and the fact that he played kindly with only getting thrown out once is amazing. Just an amazing person in general.
My man hit an in park hr in the all star game, ichiro is the greatest player in the last 50 years
From Vancouver, grew up watching him play in Seattle. Nothing but respect for 51.
I hope he plays for several more years. Never gets old watching him play

lol that homerun off mariano rivera was ridiculous. he hit his spot perfectly and its like ichiro was waiting for it
I’m pretty sure he was, I think I read it somewhere
Sad day when the Yankees let Ichiro go. One of the classiest and most talented players to ever grace the Majors. Hats off!
Most people dont realize the Japanese season is considerably shorter (most games Ichiro played over there in 1 season was 135). Agreed. Cincinnati guy here, as well. He's an amazing representative for the sport, as well
I'm a big Ichiro fan. People making a big deal about if his MLB hits and Japan hits should be combined. Take it for what it is, a great accomplishment. My opinion, 2 separate leagues so 2 separate hit totals. But nobody can take away his 3,000 hits in the MLB where he began his career at 27!
Ichiro is my favorite
Casey Stanzione same
Awesome
The only player in MLB history to collect 3,000 hits, swipe 500 bags and claim 10 GG. And to think he didn’t even join MLB until he was 27.
And now he's only a couple more away from 3,000 in the MLB. Ichiro is a once in a lifetime player and will solidify himself as among baseball's greatest in Cooperstown.
You know you're going to be great when you have your first name on your uniform
desolationR and have the Big Unit’s number
Ichiro is one of the greatest players on the face of the earth
Was
Always will be
Always will be
Always always always
Lightning Wolf 26 hey have your opinions
Most passionate, professional baseball player ever to live
when you watch ichiro swing, he isnt going for the fences or anything, it's like he calculates exactly where the fielders are and he puts the ball exactly where they arent. He's going for the tactically best possible place to put the ball, and he knows how to hold and swing the bat for it to get there.
And he manages to watch the ball even as he’s hitting it. His discipline and concentration is absolutely awe inspiring
This dude ain't no joke
definitely grabbing an Ichiro jersey.
just saw the whole clip. looks like I'm grabbing three jerseys. Haha.
I am Japanese. Ichiro is very proud that he is active in the major. His way of thinking and behavior has many things to emulate. When I look at his play, I get cheerful that "I have to work hard"
I'm a Tigers fan, but I think Ichiro is one of the best of all time. Major respect.
Thanks for being a great ambassador for baseball and coming back to Seattle this year. I hope you haven't played your last MLB game yet. Lets get the statue built in safeco like yesterday.
Stayed healthy too and always ready. Everything routine for him
I'm not a fan of the teams he is on, but I am a fan of him.
I guess you can say its like Tim Duncan and the spurs. Everyone respects him and wishes him greatness. unless he is playing against my team of course lol.
I grew up watching him play, he was my idol growing up during little league lol
Greatest pure hitter of all time.
Best outfielder, baserunner, and Batsman of the 2000's.
I love how this guy played baseball. Super smart. Great speed in all aspects.
Went to his first game as a Yankee which was playing the Mariners as he was traded the day before. Amazing. He is an amazing player.
5:00〜 beautiful homerun!
He once threw his bat after a bad hit and it hurt him so much that he sent an apology letter to the company and promised never to do that again...so after every hit from then on, he gently laid his bat to the ground.
this guy is a legend
I know nothing about baseball(thought umpire was "empire" until recently :-D) but you gotta love a great carreer. Doesn't matter which sport it is.

With Griffey going into the Hall this season and having the highest vote percentage in history, he needs a video. Part 1 is his catches. Part 2 is his home runs. Part 3 is his home run derby appearances. That would get a TON of views.

Cool video. I'm glad I found your channel. Could you do some Best Of... for some STL Cardinals players? That's my team.
Going to try to do some more "Best of" videos, or at least player highlights, so I'll eventually get to some Cardinal players :)
+EXE-Edits like McGuire
+HTV Donovan You should be happy, your Cubs are actually doing good this year. They may even win a world series. 1/108 isn't bad, right?
+HTV Donovan I cheer for the Pirates mark McGuire is just a good player for the cardinals
+HTV Donovan And this is why Cubs fans are classless
@4:59 is one of my favorite moments as a fan.
While I am to young to remember Ted Williams, in my lifetime Ichiro is the best pure hitter I have ever seen.
Dude I subbed last night but I'm realizing that you deserve 3 MILLION subscribers, not 3 thousand!!
Anyway, keep up the AMAZING work!!

Wow, just wow.
Best of Clayton Kershaw would be nice, great video bro :)
Clayton isn't an old enough player to do that
No one shows him surpassing Harry Heilmann in the most hits on the road. Yes, he owns that record as well.
Ichiro is handsome
I liked this video before I even watched it
Favorite player since the Mick.
Great video, Ichiro legend

So many of ichiro's highlights as a mariner are missing.
