    Canadian here. No bitterness from me. Jesse is the right fit for Canada. He basically is an adoptive Canadian / Québécois.

    I'm glad he chose the Canada position over South Korea. It will be much more fun to face Canada now and see what he is able to do for them tactically.

    As a Canadian, I'm really happy with this appointment. He has experience coaching multiple teams in top 5 leagues in Europe... as for the coach's nationality, this isn't hockey, Canada doesn't exactly have a huge pool of experienced coaches to choose from...

      Nationality does not apply to just hockey it applies and should be for all sports including soccer. We have Canadians coaches such as Bobby Smyrniotis and Tommy Wheeldon Jr from Canadian Premier League that were rumored at interviews. Americans know nothing about Canada which makes Jesse with a bad track record coaching a bad choice. Should be a Canadian coach that knows Canadian players and Canadian environment.

    Canadian here... I couldn't care less that he's American. I care about the results. Allez 🍁

    • @patarp1350
      @patarp1350 Před 23 dny

      You should care bc it matters to be familiar with Canadian environment and knowledge of Canadian players which the two coaches Bobby Smyrniotis and Tommy Wheeldon were considered and coached many current MNT players in youth. Should have been Canadian. If foreign should not have been American which they know nothing about Canada, unless we think Canada has fully become like America with no difference except some liberal far left laws and ideologies.

      It ain't. Bad coaching record in Europe and an American coaching Canada which be honest American know nothing about Canada and the players. Should have been a Cdn coach.

    I wish Jesse was the USA coach. Great hire for Canada, he brings a clear way to play. He is a great man manager and very good with tactics. Good luck, except when you play the USA 🇺🇲 lol

    Hmm idk hes been fired a lot, i kinda wish Herdman stayed, he looked like he helped the team a lot style wise, i hope Marsh is good and more importantly adaptable when it comes to tournaments especially a WC! Lets hope he does well ☺️
    Tbh i kinda thought theirry Henry would be a candidate cuz i heard that rumour but dont know how much of that was true but that would have been great since hes been in Montreal already

    Dont really care where he is from tbh. Canada's pool for top notch coaches is pretty thin. I feel he is the best we could get with the current state of the CSA.

      For the time being. A team is more than the sum of its parts. The USA and Mexico are perennial under-performers of late, so considering the talent Canada has, it's not out of reach to seriously challenge Mexico and/or the USA.
