  • When you see just how clean this Durango is you'll know exactly why I filmed it! This 2003 Dodge Durango comes with the 5.9L V8 and was only being sold for just $2900 bucks cash. I knew this car would sell quickly, but it sold the next day after filming it.

Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.
FYI - Charleston Car Videos on CZcams Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people watching my car reviews in America.

My '07 is still running at 170.000 miles, had it for 10 years, very reliable. Only problem is rust! Holes in the bodywork. Frame still looks sound though. Still starts every morning, never let me down, no major expenses. Shame about the rust....

Its gonna be my winter vehicle here in IA, my daily driver is a 15' Mustang gt. I've put prolly $2000 into the truck so far and what can I say....I Love my Durango!

The Magnum 5.9 Liter Engines are very dependable engines! The successor to the old LA Short Block 360 cid but with improved oil lubrication of the heads. The only down fall is when they get older they have a tendency of plugging up Catalytic Convertors as they age as they tend to burn oil.

Usually the reason the 5.9 and 5.2 magnum engines used oil was because of the intake plenum gasket blowing out. I have 2 rams, a 98 with the 5.2, 173k and uses just half a quart between 5k oil changes. My 99 with the 5.9 has 229k, same as the 5.2 it uses half a quart between 5k oil changes. Before I did the plenum gasket on both those engines they used 1 quart every 1000 miles.

Im the 4th owner of my Durango (99) in my family.. first to ever change the shocks this month, brake calipers, rear dif seal, wheel bearings. 250k+ miles. Original motor, but will admit 2nd tranny, first went about 200k mark. And your right, before hemi was a Magnum

Last year for the 1st-gen Durango, last year for the 5.9L V8... last year for a true classic. :) Having owned Jeep Grand Cherokees over the years (of every generation), they're great vehicles. Like any other vehicle, you just have to look over it before you buy it so you know what you're getting. If you think you don't need the extra warranty, you may as well go ahead and get it, especially if a vehicle is older such as this one. That's just my 2 cents on the situation.

Dodge is fine, they break because nobody ever checks anything like oh i duuno fluids and filters n stuff😂😂😂 every dodge ive owned has been used and abused horribly, so I get em cheap and do proper maintenance, and theyve lasted and lasted and lasted!
Case in point the 4.7 and 3.7 are the most infamous Chrysler engines from 2000 untill they quit making them, mine has 300k on it, still runs like new and gets 20 mpg highway at sea level! Thats 2 mpg above the factory sticker! Its been my daily in Alaska for 6 years, 80° days in summer, -50° days in winter, its never let me down ever. And it still books for 6,500. In good shape! In Alaska if you dont have a good reliable 4×4 truck you could literally die before help arrives.
I am a Dodge tech for the last 40 years, the engines take specific fluids, most folks dont know what atf+4 is, or hoat coolant or oat coolant that is only for dodge, you cant put green coolant in a dodge! If you look at one to buy and it has green coolant , run! Unless its a pre 2000 engine then its fine.
Then theres the valvetrain problems like dropped seats, most of this is caused by overheating the heads, and that is caused by not bleeding the cooling system properly. You cant just fill up a dodge and run it, wait for the thermostat to open then top off like the old days, it must be bled through the bleeder to be sure that there is no air in the system before extended run time( usually vacuum bled or pressure bled)
The transmissions arent bad eithier, maybe change fluid and filters on schedule instead of driving till it breaks and costs 5- 10k to replace😂😂😂😂

  • @neavo8421
    @neavo8421 Před rokem

Yea so you do wanna stay away from the fiat dodges - the avengers. the renegades, the darts - theyre all plastic turbod pos's.
However, all I own are dodges: I own a 2000 dakota 4.7, a 2002 durango 4.7 and a 2015 challenger RT. The reason I own these is because I know how reliable they are, your customers are buying trash and complaining when it stinks.
My trucks have over 180k original transmission and engine and run as strong (probably stonger) as when they were new.
The challenger has almost no miles on it, so I cant really tell you much but I paid more than 2200 bucks for it.

Dodge and Chrysler..pretty much anything made by FCA..is absolute trash once they age more than 5 years
I had an 04 Ram that I got rid of early this year - worst piece of stool I’ve ever owned - expensive repairs every month and it was never ever right

Rigo Hinojosa I love the Dodge Ram but 2004 was not the best year for the Dodge Ram. That year seemed to be the most problematic at least in my experience at least.

You're crazy the 3.7 is bulletproof. Take care of your cars.

The 4.7 are the most reliable its a reason they went to it ! Ive had both 4.7 an 5.9 sure the 5.9 is stronger but it broke my 4.7 is still kicking!! I tore the drive shaft out out of the 4.7 picked it up off the road switched in to 4x4 an went home fixed it next day with a junkyard shaft yiu cant kill them.. Looking at suvs of today ill never sell it nit to mention the all metal front bumper they won't do that again! I laugh when i see comments like yours because all all the 5.2s and 5.9s are in the junkyard 😂.... Good luck the winters i never use 4x4 theres no reason but if i need it its there you can get them stuck! My only complaint which isn't one is mileage but i went an got a civic so im cool a winter beast an a hot girl summer getter 🙌🏾💪🏾
