*_After a history of Samsung Galaxy Notes and S Series, I slowly moved "down" to the A Series. No regrets as the prices of the S line-up has tremendously increased. From my current A52s 5G 8/256GB, the logical upgrade would be the A55 5G, however, this generation's A35 and A55 are 99% the same with the former being more affordable. And don't forget that both have IP67 dust and water resistance, too. Can't wait for my upgrade. Cheers!_*
IMO, you don't have to upgrade until your service is out. A52S still have update support until 2026
Great review I just got mine today In awesome lilac, beautiful phone visually my hubby got it for me early birthday present so happy with it, can't seem to find a case to go with it as yet all I could see about was a horrible plain black flip cover ahh well, but back to Ur review thanks ❤
In case anyone is thinking about this or the A55 like I was, what the reviewer said in the conclusion is basically the deciding factor, so it would really depend on how you use your phone. For me, I ended up buying this A35 and it has been great so far, after a week of using it. I'm not into games and I'm really not too critical about cameras. But the idea of having "more power" in your hand is always a tempting offer, that is what made me choose between the 2. But besides that and the metal sides, they're really practically the same, so I will just use the extra 4k for other things.
Salamat sa pag review, pero paki bawasan ang choreography 😂 ok na meron para mas fun, pero wag lang sobra, dahil may tendency na maging cringy/oa tingnan.

Definitely the phone i will buy this coming December haha tagal pano. Nagustuhan ko yung screen nya 6.6 lang pero malapad mas immersive sya parang yung lumang aspect ration na 16:9 ba yun haha basta maganda parang naka 6 inch 16:9 malaaaaapad hehe

I got this phone a few days ago since my last one was getting really buggy, the screen would turn to static and it would freeze up and have a hard time unfreezing, so far I like it! The battery is AMAZING like omg, I went on a school trip and the battery was at 56% by the end of the day (From 4AM to midnight!!!). It costed a little under 400€ I believe, I'm not quite sure since it was a gift from my dad (that was also initiated by the fact that my phone was disgustingly buggy and I simply couldn't use it anymore), but for that price, it's totally worth it! The camera quality is great, the design being very Iphone inspired is actually pretty nice since I've always liked the look of those phones, but they were always so expensive and I heard a lot of people having issues with it, especially the battery life. Overall, it's a great phone and would totally recommend it!
One thing, if you're a "I download my music to my phone" type of person, the new phone doesn't come with Samsung Music anymore, which was kind of a bummer but I have a Spotify Premium APK installed so it's not that big of a deal. :)

Hmmm in my opinion, I think its better to get the A54 5G than this, the discounted price and the specs are just almost the same, screen size and additional year for the OS updates are the only upgrade.
Samsung offer some tempting rebate discounts in the UK, add that to recycling your old phone and it makes it around the same price as a last gen phone so I've gone for the A35.

@@Negativvv Traded my iPhone Se 2020 in and bought the A35 with 8GB Ram and 256GB storage for just 289€ (from 449€).
Tbh i am upgrading phones this year to have addtl OS upgrade privileges so i think I'll get th 5 version
Does anyone know how the 5 yrs of security updates will be delivered? Samsung's own security page shows the a35 5g scheduled to get quarterly updates not monthly. 5 yrs of quarterly updates isnt that impressive in my opinion.
I had go for the A34 though it's much cheaper and 90% the same unless you mind the notch

How the battery life? My a35 looks like easy to drain

The thick bezels are such an eyesores.

Although we got used to it really quick in everyday use.
And if living in a small studio or dorm without a TV, (the display + stereo speaker setup) really make a good alternative; Possibly in combination with a bed frame phone clamp for a hands-free experience!

This Midrange Phone from Samsung the A series is a Joke 👎 compared to OPPO & Realme etc in Fact. It would be better if They lower the price of the A35 5G for around $280 or 13k Pesos, Not 20k pesos. Its a bit Expensive. While Oppo/Realme/Honor/Infinix done a better good job on their Midrange Smartphone with a Lower Price & good Specs, specially the Infinix Zero 30 5G for example.
Thank goodness I have a samsung to trade to guarantee lowering the price below 15K. But, to highlight your point, samsung is not just focusing on hardware alone. I know what you mean. but they're focusing mainly on OS update and security patches. And also the samsung feels. All the brands you mentioned are not even in the competitions. People are always fighting online, either which is good, iPhone or samsung, sometimes pixel or samsung. Other brands are not in the discussions.
I agree with your opinion but samsung has their own pace when it comes to their smartphones, they do not race with the hardware specs and they have their own target customers. Did you know that despite the competition of chinese brands, last year their galaxies below apple were the most selling? despite tha fact with the chinese brands having the much better hardware. Also, the software experience is different with their UI. I can tell because I tried to switch to xiaomi once and unfortunately have bad experiences with the buggy MIUI software, and the reason why I came back to using samsung phones.
Never seen a 13k pesos phone with 4k video recording with a very good OIS tho. And a phone that guarantees years of updates.
But samsung OS is better plus 4 years of update and security patches which is good in the long run.
My phone is still alive for 5 years now, it is also samsung.
